Gregory Lind Gallery is must see when you are in San Francisco. Mr. Lind is knowledgeable and welcoming. He is a real gentleman who doesn’t push and who is unfailingly patient and helpful. He has a keen eye and has carefully selected the artists whom he represents. In addition, considering the inflated prices in the art market, Mr. Lind offers very affordable work.

This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a gallery. I am an artist from Chicago and visiting San Francisco. I create sculptural work and saw that the Gregory Lind Gallery had a series of small sculptures to view. I went to view them and the owner was so rude. I would never want to have my work shown here because of how he treated me as a viewer/customer. Basically he told me and my friend to get out because we weren’t interested in buying anything and it was a waste of time. I teach and thought this would be a great thing to share with the local artist community. I will never send anyone here and would recommend you avoid this at all costs unless you want to feel put down, humiliated, and left with a sour taste in your mouth. I would write a letter to the owner but he is the one who was such an atrocity to the art community and represents everything that is wrong in the art world today. Just a shame. Aweful.

It’s one of the better galleries on Geary featuring emerging artists. They’ve shown Mark Mulroney and Jovie Schnell who are both pretty amazing. It’s always a must when making the first Thursday rounds.
