Great looking Albacore Tuna Sandwich($ 8.95) but it turned out to be the blandest tuna I’ve ever had. The tuna tasted like it was pureed into a baby food fine paste. Not looking for cuisine quality sandwiches but I would never have know this was tuna… unless it said it on the box. The rice crispy treat was the best part of the airplane grab and go. Expected more from Guava & Java.

Ugh, coffee is almost undrinkable! Why, oh why isn’t there a Peet’s in this area once you get through security! I didn’t order food because it was so overpriced.

Veggie Frittata on Brioche was tasty. Did need to add some hot sauce though. Bran muffin dry but decent. Good place for a yummy breakfast on the go. #runninghungry

A great joint to get a fresh squeezed smoothie. The service is quick and easy. The locations a right next to the gates and there’s nothing better than a cool and frosty smoothie to relax you before a flight.

This place should be called Guava Garbage. It’s a disgrace to smoothies because they don’t put ANY fresh fruit in these things. I asked the employee what goes into their smoothies and she told me just purée. What I don’t understand is that they have rotting bananas sitting Right There! Why don’t you throw a banana into your smoothies to give them some consistency and not this icy fruit garbage you charge for $ 7!

$ 5.40 for an «iced hazelnut coffee»…AKA a cup with ice, Folger’s coffee, and nasty syrup that tastes nothing like hazelnut. Not only that, but he didn’t even fill my cup up all the way. Ewe.

All things considered for airport food, this place kind of has it on lock. The sandwiches looked killer, but I was in the mood for breakfast food. Brioche bun, fully cooked egg with a thick cooked yolk, melty cheese. Hit the spot, I was starving and the sandwich was pretty substantial. Came out quickly. Happy me. Guava and Java is located alllllll the way at the end of the terminal, furthest from security. I recommend the walk(it’s actually pretty short). Most people end up at Three Twins because it’s right in the middle and super conspicuous.

Smoothie sham! Waited in line at 4:30am when they open because a smoothie sounded amazing. Somebody else ordered one and I saw that they poured in some juices and then a bunch of ice. No actual fruit?! At least half of the volume was ice. Wasn’t about to pay $ 5 for a bunch of water, so I ended up just getting a mediocre muffin.

Early morning flight. Needed a little caffeine — didn’t realize how little a small is. I paid almost $ 5 and got maybe 6 oz. Ordered a Hazelnut Latte — flavor is ok, but nothing to shout about.

I had the peach mango smoothie with protein powder. The lady at the register said its made with fresh fruit but I saw them pour some really thick juice concentrate, and add ice and powder then blend. Not fresh fruit here. Super sticky and sweet. I should have declined to buy it when I saw them making it but I just got off a red eye and it was 5am when I ordered it, so definitely not thinking straight. Bleh.

I wanted a smoothie in between flights, so I stopped by the Guava and Java kiosk. The strawberry banana smoothie description looked amazing, so I bought a medium. This time, my eyes were a little bigger than my stomach. The yummy strawberry and banana flavors were a little off in this one. I know it’s airport food, but I was hoping for something a little more fresh and flavored from a smoothie joint. For nearly $ 7, I expected a little more bang for my buck. The workers were more than helpful and friendly: the smoothie just didn’t hit the mark. Next time I’m flying, I’ll more than likely choose a more«solid» option like a sandiwch. After drinking as much of the smoothie as I could, I just ended up eating airplane cookies.

It’s a lunch stand at the end of the airport. Nothing more, nothing less. They offer sandwiches and drinks to help them go down. Fairly priced, keep in mind, this is an airport shop. It’s never gonna be a bargain. But if you’re looking for sorta cheap and good sandwiches. Purchase your food here. I experienced the cuban toasted, it’s amazing and delish. I haven’t had an authentic Cuban yet, but this is by far the best I’ve tasted. Life is amazing when the glass is half full. Follow me on instagram and youtube @rodtorres3 Weeeeeeeeeeee

The old man that works here is so grumpy. He basically ruined my visit here. If you need coffee or other food, just go to the other food establishments that are right after TSA

Ironic that SFO has such lousy food options. I fly Delta and I like to go to Northern California and this means I have to deal with this lame terminal and I often find myself staring at the case of foodstuffs at this place. Smoothies. I was so excited to see that they had smoothies, but from what I can tell(from the large jugs) they are all from a mix and all fruit/sugary based. Pastries are enormous which I’m sure is a good selling point, but c’mon. These things are huge.

Nasty! The strawberries in my yogurt parfait had fermented and gone«off». Just what you need before a flight, something to make you sick to your stomach. I also had a cup of coffee, and I thought it was generally fairly acrid with no robustness to the flavor. Since Delta only has a Sky Club BEFORE security(what use is that?) this place is one of the few fast options. Hint, don’t fall for it. You’re better using the Perry’s walk through line. For the sake of your gastrointestinal health, I would suggest anything OTHER than Guava Java.

No one wants to spend an arm and leg for food on a plane. That is where this stop comes in. I knew I didnt want to purchase a meal on my long flight, and nor did I want to wait in line for a meal. But, at the pace these guys were working, I knew my meal would be ready in no time– and it was. I ordered a toasted sammie cut in half(for the boyfriend and I) and within 5 mins of waiting in line we had our meal and drinks and were headed back to our flight. These guys not only make good food but they are quick(so you dont miss your flight).

I walked into the airport around 10pm at night ready to board a red eye home and felt like I had a whopper of a cold coming on. Guava and Java shone like a bright vitamin C beacon at the end of the hallway. Juice! Smoothies! Freshness in a sea of processed foods and bottled sodas. I was ready. I walked up and looked at the list. Only 4 smoothies to choose from and some pre-squeezed/packaged orange juice in the coolers. I decided to go with the strawberry banana smoothie. I ordered and walked over to wait and was immediately dismayed watching them put it together – no fresh fruit here. Just a big old jug of Torani processed smoothie mix. Just add ice and blend. Sigh. I looked at the ingredients on the jug on the counter. Ingredient 1? Water. Ingredient 2? Sugar. Double sigh. Ingredient 3? Strawberries. THEREYOUARE! I waited and was handed my $ 4 smoothie. I took a sip and immediately regretted the sugar bomb that hit my tongue. That second sugar ingredient was no joke. Listen, I’m not one to be all that picky about this stuff. My favorite foods are sugar laden chocolate treats. I won’t deny it. But with a name like«Guava and Java» i just assumed fresh fruit and good coffee. Didn’t try the latter but the former was nowhere to be found. And for the record? I never saw anything with guava anywhere. All flash, no substance. Total bummer.

I think I would like this restaurant a lot more if I wasn’t forced to eat at it. The only options in this terminal for food are Perry’s which is sit down and some pre-made sandwiches and salads, a crêpe place, and Guava & Java. As someone who has an aversion to pre-made food and isn’t convinced a crêpe will hold me over for a 5 hour flight, Guava & Java is pretty much my only option. I recommend getting the tomato and mozzarella panini and having it toasted. Getting it toasted makes it taste less like its been sitting out in a display case for hours(which it has). Their pastries are fine, and they also have apples and fruit for sale. I haven’t tried the smoothies here so I can’t comment on those. Something about drinking 20 ounces of liquid before a flight across the country just seems like a bad idea… The lines here can get long, but usually go pretty quickly and the service is always good.

Cuban sandwich, order it toasted and hot! You won’t be sorry, if you blow $ 8.50 or more on a sandwich, the quality of proteins inside theirs is actually higher than Perry’s, believe it or not! Also have had their smoothies in the past. Again, $$, but this is an airport! PS3twins now has a kiosk in this Delta arm!
