What a good find! I was in Clement Street Chinatown the other day, buying a bamboo steamer from the nearby restaurant supply store and on my way back to the car I walked by this store… and looking inside I saw loads of fresh veggies… and my eye especially tracked the Asian kinds, that you usually don’t find in your usual supermarket, such as pea shoots, Bamboo shoots, water cress, string beans, etc. So this is what they really do well: cater fresh produce to the folks that like to cook Asian food!

The place was clean and the people were friendly. I spent under $ 25 and walked out with three bags of groceries.

Cleaner than some of the other produce places on Clement. Workers are really efficient. They have the best Fuji Apples. and 99cent Coconut Water. They take debit/credit. Same prices and produce at New May Wah but this place is FAR less annoying. Zucchini and Carrots are always fresh and large. They also sell a variety of dried fruits and nuts. Almonds $ 4.99 a lbs. I just wish they were bigger and offered a few more items, but they have a great selection of various azn greens.

I love Healthy Produce. This is my go to grocery store for fresh produce. If I lived closer, I know I would be in here all the time picking up last minute things I forgot. Unfortunately, I have to make do with once a week. The reason I love it here because their produce is almost always of such high quality and it is presented in a very clean and organized manner. There are only two aisles, but there is plenty to choose from. I appreciate the simplicity of the layout that accentuates the quality selection. Also, the staff here are friendly and speedy. I only wish Healthy Produce could open up another location down my street…

A lot more«spacious» than the previous grocery store at this location. It’s two LONG isles without a break until the back of the store. Everything was CLEAN and nicely displayed. Hope this store STAYS that way! Everything was fresh(except the really ripe avocados). Prices were really competitive without the crowds. Best $ 10 I’ve spent! Cabbage at .29/lb Huge Black Grapes at 1.79/lb Organic Tomatos at .59/lb etc… – Saw Yellow Peaches at .79/lb and Huge White Peaches .99/lb that were really nice as well.

This is a mini-May Wah. They sell the exact same items at the exact same prices, yet somehow everything seems to be slightly lesser quality than their big sister up the block. And the selection is much smaller. This could be a plus for some people who don’t want to fight their way through the super cramped asiles of New May Wah, and only want a few basic items. But I personally have never shopped there, I’d prefer to have the larger selection and slightly better quality up the street. Also, the combo of the outdoor fruit stands and the 2 Clement bus shelter totally block the sidewalk. Like that piece of Clement wasn’t cramped enough, now it just got even harder to walk through. This place is a disappointment, and seems useless.

This new produce market is actually owned and run by the same family who owns New May Wah supermarket on the next block. No more craming of veggies and fruits into the 2 aisles in the old market, they have now an abundance of space to shelf their wares. The appearance of the Veggies/fruits are a lot improved because there is more room in between veggies and fruits not like in the other shop where you can’t even tell if the quality of the veggies and fruits were really poor, lower quality direct from the distributor or if it was from people manhandling them. Well we’ll see sooner or later what quality of veggies/fruits May Way is purchasing and selling to it’s consumers.

Healthy Produce is a new produce market that just opened up on Clement Street in San Francisco. They are like an Asian Produce Market specializing in selling various types of vegetables and the sorts. There are workers always working to keep the stock fresh and replenishing the shelves with more products. This produce market… the shelves are a little more spaced appart… this is good because it is healthier for the vegetables, easier to keep clean and fresh, also easier to keep at a refrigerated temperature if needed… not too much produce stacked on top of one another. So these are a good sign I like to see when buying fresh produce. I did buy some Squash and some Lychee… they were fresh and tasty. I’ll have to try a few more items before upgrading my rating. A new produce market in the area! Yes!
