Not sure why people sleep on this place but this café is a great alternative if you want to save a little bit of money compared to going to Peet’s in the school library. They sell pastries, bagels, sandwiches, chips, salads, and of course coffee, tea, etc. Usually there’s only two people working but they work as fast as they can. Been here a couple times and service is consistent and good. I ordered a medium iced vanilla latte and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. I’m the type of person who likes their bagel extra toasted but doesn’t like their coffee too sweet, so I was glad that they were able to accommodate my complicated order ^____^ The coffee was alright, but just a little too much ice. I mean, a toasted bagel with cream cheese is pretty simple but it was on point. Definitely will keep coming back.

This spot is extremely convenient for me. As I am not familiar with this campus, I would like a place that is close by. They have wide range of things to select from: cookies, sandwiches, coffee… Staffs are nice. Only downside is no credit card, but well prices are low so I could forgive that

Loved my sandwich! Was walking to class and decided to grab some food. First thing that caught my eye — avocado pesto chicken sandwich. Some of my favorite things all in one! My sandwich was ready quick and the bread was crunchy. The sandwich was about $ 5.50 and it was a good size. They cut it in half so I saved the rest for later. Would definitely recommend trying out that sandwich! They also had a bunch of other sandwiches, bagel sandwiches, and drinks all for a reasonable price. Better than waiting in the long lines for Ike’s and paying double the price.

The staff members running this café are very friendly, plus they provide very efficient service. This review is exclusively for their cinnamon raisin bagel — I like it. I tried plain and sesame bagels long enough, so this was a very good opportunity for me to try a new bagel flavor. Excellent spot for a quick boost of energy when you’re between classes.

This place is okay for a quick sandwich or bagel if you’re around the HSS or Business buildings. Previously ordered the Chicken salad, Turkey Salami and Bacon sandwich. They were okay sandwiches, both under $ 5. For some reason the bread seemed kind of hard/stale. There is a line at this place around noon though. So they have their fair share of customers. Although i’d rather walk the extra distance to Café Rosso for their Chicken Pesto Avocado Sandwich.

Meh. It’s got snacks, tea, coffee, and even some sandwiches. I’ve always wanted to get the huge huge ridiculous super hunk of rice krispy treat, but I’m afraid that it could eat me before I could eat it. The prices are set for students. The vending machines sell even after the staff go home. If you’re here, eat it.

«As good as it gets» for a basic coffee and a basic bagel. For one, this seems to be the lone holdout on campus not serving Peets overroasted nonsense. The coffee here actually tastes decent! Bagles are basic, sure, but they toast them *just* the right amount and *just* the right cream cheese without overdoing it. It’s a real pleasure when I get to campus with like 15 minutes to class and I haven’t eaten anything at all since waking up 4 hours ago, to know this very decent coffee and bagel is there like clockwork, and rarely is there a line of more than 3 people or more than a 5 minute total wait. Major hat tip Bagel Buds, let’s keep this rolling into the next semester.

Such a cute location on campus! If I didn’t have four classes in that building and see the little sign all the time, I would have never found it. The line was pretty long, but I was in no rush and it turned out to go by pretty past. The menu was surprisingly big and the bagels caught my eye. So like the banana and chocolate lover I am, I ordered a blueberry bagel with nutella and bananas. The blueberry bagel was delicious, but not the best combo with the nutella. But otherwise, the bagel was yummy! My friend got a croissant and devoured it. I have yet to try the drinks, but there are so many options that sound yumyum, and I’ll be sure to keep y’all posted if I get any!

Omg this little hidden café saves me during my 3 hour classes in the HSS building. I always run over here for those chocolate chip cookies they have, they are delicious! At least I think so. They have a lot of coffee options, bagels, and other goodies. It’s a pretty well stocked up for a small café in the middle of a bunch of classes. I think I was disappointed once but that’s only because I went when they were closing, and I had class until 9:45, boooo :/I’m not sure what time they actually close but it’s a great place for students to grab something quick. oh yeah, cash only :)

Great location to stop by and get a quick meal in between classes. I always get the Special #1 on Sesame Wheat it’s so delicious! Pesto, sprouts, feta and sun-dried tomatoes mm can’t get any better than that! Refreshing, tasty and filling! Love that they also serve coffee here as well which makes things very convenient. Lines can build in the morning and during lunch time. I docked off 1 star because well, honestly one time I bit into a huge piece of white plastic in my bagel O_O. That was unacceptable and very disturbing. I wish I could say I wouldn’t come back but they need to be extra careful when prepping the food.

Best café on campus. No nonsense prices. No nonsense service. Fast and cheap, and tasty. I can’t ask for anything else from this café in an office room. It is what it is and it’s pretty damn efficient. Cash only, but I’ve gotten used to it.

I really much prefer the HSS café to any on campus. Their sandwiches are far and I mean moon and stars people, beyond Café Rosso’s and while they also usually have a line out the door when a class lets out, they seem to quickly get it down with their(more often than not) fast paced order to in your hand . They only take cash, which is a downer, and they don’t have the same tea selection 101, Rosso and station do, but more often tan not they have my chicken bowls and mango-orange nectars. They’re also generally more pleasant than Station and far quicker than Rosso. Yum turkey sandwiches.

Yay! Another café on campus that sells tha same things as every other café on campus — — bagels, drinks, snacks, etc. However, this place sticks out nd is more special because this is tha ONLY place in SF that i currently know of that has Extreme Toffee Coffee. It is so damn AWESOME nd GOOD. A must try. If you don’t like toffee or coffee then oh wells. sucks for you. Anyways, I also like to order bagels with sun dried tomato cream cheese at any of tha cafes on campus that do bagels. I usually get a sesame bagel :] Toffee Coffee! Try it! Me nd my friends are hooked.

Decent muffins, crappy bagels. I go here a couple times/week and am dissatisfied whenever I get a bagel. Whatever toppings I get usually only cover half the bagel.

this café is conveniently located in the HSS building for all the health education majors. the tea is 25 cents cheaper, but there arent as many condiments available as café 101. they sell several types of sandwiches here slabbed with mayo and mustard and packed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions. they always look better than they taste =\ this place is cash only.

How can you not love this lil gem of a Café. Got a class in the HSS Building? Well, when you do I’m sure you’ll be walking to class one day and all of a sudden you’ll pass HSS Café and think to yourself, «Hot Damn! There’s a café in here?» Yes, Yes there is…

It truly pains me to give places on this campus more than 2 stars*, but for some reason this place annoys me the least out of cafes near the bus stop. Yes, I realize they’re all owned by the same people. The bagels here just taste better. I don’t know what it is, they just do. It’s also pretty entertaining to figure out what color hair the girl at the register is going to have each morning – she’s also great. Quick, not too chipper in the mornings, and hands me coffee when I need it(speaking of which, a story that somewhat relates is found here, I think it’s Act II: ). Ugh, cash only. *Warped SFSU scale.
