Angelo and Geronimo specializes in vintage Italian cars as it is in their blood. I’ve known him for years and he loves to chat, at least to me. He hails from Modena, Italy, if that means anything to car buffs (it most definitely should), and he comes from a family of mechanics. I have taken my Alfas and Fiats to them for work and was satisfied that they were in good hands. Angelo participates in many of the local automotive events and many of his clients bring in their classic vehicles for mechanical prep work for either show or track events. His shop is like a museum and not to be missed.

I had a pretty two-​star experience here but am giving a +1 star for the love of guys like Angelo and for his assistant, who seems on the ball.
I dropped nearly $ 1000 to fix an oil leak and got the car back with a bigger oil leak. There are some arguments on both sides of this story and the devil is always in the details, but I think the simplest facts speak for themselves.
Despite Angelo’s charm and his wonderful museum of a shop, he failed me at the most basic level of customer service — understanding my car’s fundamental issue and correcting it. I am speaking about an Alfa Romeo here — a car he has decades of experience with.
I had other good experiences with Angelo and I definitely wanted to like him and stick with him, but ultimately he lost my trust during this event. I have taken my business elsewhere.

Actually, Angelo is a pretty good mechanic and has done excellent work on several Alfa Romeos I’ve owned. Angelo’s assistant, Geronimo, who hails from Peru, is also well versed in Italian car esoterica. And I’m pretty sure if you drove in your Volvo or Subaru they’d change your oil, too, but those cars certainly wouldn’t get the red carpet treatment reserved for Fiats, Lancias, & Alfas. Although Imported Motor Service is definitely old school — you’ll get a carbon-​copy receipt of your credit card upon payment — this is a garage with character, borax soap and all. And that’s a good thing.

Angelo is the real deal. An old Italian mechanic for old Italian cars. If you own an Alpha, a Fiat 500, or any other Italian car from the 50’s, 60’s, 70′, or 80’sI then this place is auto repair heaven! The walls are covered with old racing posters of days (and cars) gone by. Appreciate and enjoy.

Angelo is what this place is all about.
No, he’s not the world’s best mechanic, nor is it easy to communicate with him. However, you shouldn’t go here if you want such dreadfully dull things as an oil change.
This is about charm and devotion to lovely impractical things.
