Insight Tutoring

I’m so glad I found David. He is so patient with my child while tutoring. He breaks down the math for a child to really understand. It’s hard now days to find a genuine person and someone who loves what they are doing. David is that person. After a few sessions she is now excited to go to tutoring. She says he is helping me and I’m finally understanding. I recommend David by far and it helps that it is one on one and not any other students in the same room.

Both of my daughters met with Dave for some short term test prep: SSAT and SAT.
The location is great, very easy to get to by public transportation and many places to hang out or eat before, during or after.
Dave was laid back, but directive and specific. Some of the other potential tutors we had talked with were way too intense and berated us for starting «too late.» Dave, on the other hand, met the girls where they were and assessed their needs, which was to just review, gain some strategies and gain some overall confidence.
We were very satisfied with Dave and deeply appreciated his help.

David is a very creative and helpful person. I needed help for my SAT, and a friend of my parents introduced me to David. He really prepped me for the Critical Reading. A lot of the vocabulary words he went over with me appeared on the actual SAT. I think that for most people, it’s the Reading part that’s the most difficult. So if you want to really improve on the SAT… CALL DAVID!!!

David is a overall a fantastic tutor! He has really helped me steer my math career in the right direction. He has been helping me for over a year now in Algebra and Geometry. If you’re anything like myself, and you’re absolutely terrified of taking the GRE… CALL DAVID !!! Don’t stare endlessly into your prep books, you will learn 3x as much spending only 1 hour in his one-​on-​one tutoring sessions. I am currently reviewing and re-​learning math concepts I haven’t seen in 15+years. He has been so helpful breaking things down so I could understand the material, not just memorize it!!! Additionally he has everything you need at his tutoring sight; books, paper, pencils etc. if you are coming straight from work/​school. If you are interested in doing some additional studying on your own, he has even written a creative book full of SAT/​GRE type problems to supplement your sessions. He is an extremely personable guy who can understand and empathize with you about the stresses of taking a test like the SAT/​GRE. David will also prioritize certain concepts for you based on your level of ability and your time constrictions.

. It can be a great supplement to his regular tutoring sessions or great for someone who lives ANYWHERE other than San Francisco. The sight is pretty easy to follow, not very complicated in the least. You can copy and paste problems you’re having trouble with on their «white board» and a credentialed teacher is online to help you figure it out and demonstrate a solution.
Overall, if you’ve got a lot of time, or are in a pinch he’ll help you out!
