I’ve called 3 times during their listed office hours and no one answered. I drove by today and it appears they’re closed

By far the most reliable amazing customer service experience I have ever had anywhere, and I’ve been a lot of places. I have a 2002 saab 93, and just recently started having a lot of fits. First off, it is really hard to find a decent mechanic, let alone any saab mechanic. Second of all they always fix my car within a day or two. And lastly the most amazing customer service I’ve ever had, because one time a wire was loose after I picked it up and it died. I called them back immediately, they called the tow truck, paid for it, then took me to a rental shop to rent me a car until my car was fixed! In the process of renting the car they figured out that it was a loose wire and got me the saab back!

I have had a lot of car problems. But, my husband LOVES his car (that gives us the problems) so I really can’t change that. However, what I can do is find a garage that is honest, effective, and friendly.
J Q Autotech has been reliable for me and has helped me get my car (s) moving again! Words cannot express how grateful I am for J Q Autotech. Thank you for always being there when I need you guys!

Great Services, calls before they do any repair on my car. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a local shop I could walk back from while they worked on my car. The problem with Unilocal is that it is hard to get your car into the popular shops with 50+ 5-​star reviews. I was nervous about this place since it only had a few reviews. But they were able to check out my car right away on a Friday.
They test drove my car but were not able to replicate the problem that I was having — sudden dying. Nevertheless we talked through the problem and they were pretty sure what the issue was, bu theyt were honest that they couldn’t guarantee the fix would work.
They gave me a fair estimate of $ 150, and said they probably wouldn’t be able to complete the work until the next morning.
Well they got finished sooner than expected (that afternoon), charged me less than they estimated, and the fix worked. Plus they were nice and spent the time to explain the technical issues involved.
I will definitely be back!

Lam knows what he is doing and will go out of his way to ensure your saftey and the most affordable route. I was ready to junk my 93 honda civic, but Lam assured me with a $ 500 he could get the car to run another 5 years. He was done by the end of the day and the car is running like a CHAMP. This little cutty spot in the TL is a little known gem. Also Oil Change for like $ 25! This is my new spot.

Auto repairs are expensive… Well most of the time. My mother visted a local well respected shop… They recomended she sell the car or pay over $ 5,000 for ASAP repairs. I was referred to Autotech by a great friend. They inspected car, said for $ 1,100 it would be just fine! Then another friend was recomended a big repair and they fixed the whole car for $ 480. I think because of the low rent (Tenderloin) and owner involvement… This is the shop for me. So far I have seen them fix a Buick, Toyota, BMV, and Mercedes for much less than a regular shop or dealer. Do not expect a lounge or ride to work like at BMW. With the money you save you could spend a weekend in Napa!

one of the best Mechanics in San Francisco! I went to several different mechannics before I brought my Acura to AutoTech Team. I was told by many including the technician from Acura dealership that the problem on my car is difficult to slove, and will cost me a lot! However, Mike helped me to fix the problem within three hours, and only charged me $ 95,the qoute I got from other mechanics are over $ 300!
I would like to recommend this place and Mike (he is a very knowledgable and honest man) to anyone! It’s gonna save you a lot of time and money!

MIKE IS AWESOME. He has been my family’s mechanic for over a decade. We followed him here from his old shop in SOMA.
Not only is he is very nice and honest, he has always pulled through for us. For example, once he opened shop early to look at my rims (which I stupidly dragged for a mile after my tire busted… what? I didn’t know…) so that I could leave for my trip on time later that morning.
He doesn’t BS you and he will tell you if something doesn’t need fixing.
If you want a trustworthy mechanic with reasonable pricing, check him out.

I am reluctant to add this wonderful auto shop onto Unilocal only because it is one of the best kept secrets in SF. but what the hey, Unilocal has been nothing but good to me when it comes to searching for good places to go on pretty much everything, so here it goes:
This place didn’t only give me a really good deal (they priced matched me cheaper then what was being quoted by another mechanic; I guess then that really wouldn’t be price matching? But anyway…) The mechanic (Micheal) was also able to get me in first thing in the morning. Also he told me he could have it done in 2.5 hours and when I asked him if there was any way that he could possibly have it done in 2 hours as I was cutting it close to an appointment he threw on extra mechanics to work on my car so that it could be done quicker. My car was up and running in an hour and forty five minutes later. This was the best mechanic I have ever been to. They were quick efficient, friendly to work with and gave me free Chinese candy :)
The place I went to before here tried to charge me $ 900.00 and told me that they would have to wait on the part for my car for a few days and wouldn’t be able to have my car back to me until the end of the week. Autotech was able to have my car up and running within 14 hours of my call for $ 340.00.
This place really made having a car that was not running the easiest, and cheapest problem to fix. I had the work done on my car about 5 months ago and my car is still running great. This place deserves every star it has gotten from me.
