Jane Hammond Events, considered «The» local caterer for events, referred me to JJardine for my intimate wedding: and that’s just the start of the good things to know about JJardine.
Jim is a culinary genius. Truly. He personally oversees each event and he has true talent with food. Stop your caterer search right now and see if he is available for your event.
The business is comprised of Chef Jim with Business Manager Nicole and staff. This is the team to trust that your event will be memorable mainly for the amazing food. Hiring JJardine isn’t just feeding your guests because you have to anyway; the meal itself is the main event.
Nicole was in every way a pleasure to plan with; it’s like sitting down with one of your best friends to create the best meal ever and chat and laugh the whole time. She was very specific with detail, down to the where things go and where things will move and small props. The entire team came to the on-​site walk-​through and debriefing.
The food is locally and ethically sourced, which is not a small thing. Often the slow food movement means an out of reach price tag, but that is not the case. Inventive but not absurd combinations, and all decent serving sizes. None of this arsty dime-​sized nonsense. You plan your menu understanding that if what’s available doesn’t meet their standard of quality, you have a second choice in mind rather than serving something second rate. Details: we were at the point of discussing the maturation and migration patterns of sea bass.
Quality is nonpareil. Many people at our wedding independently made a point of telling us that the pepper-​crusted filet is the best steak they’d *ever* had: and some of these were septuagenarians and world-​traveler epicures with many many steaks in their palate repertoire. I still dream of the mini-​pecan pies and fresh figs and massive tubs of scallop ceviche they sent home with us. (You probably won’t eat at your own wedding; but they’ll make sure you do afterward.)
I couldn’t be more impressed with the preparation and quality of service and recommend them unreservedly.

We called up J Jardine only 2 days before our corporate event for 40 people. Despite the short time, they did a great job and we had delicious food and everything went well. Nicole — the Event Manager was very flexible to work with us on the menu according to our requirements. The chef — Michael was really good, professional too. All in all, I would recommend their service.

JJardine is OFF THE CHARTS awesome! I have used them now for two parties (for two separate clients of mine), and both went off without a hitch. Nicole, the Event Manager, is amazing. She’s detailed, responsive and professional. She took care of everything, and took the lead in helping get these somewhat last minute holiday parties come to fruition. On top of that, the food is fabulous. Guests raved about the hot and cold apps, and there was an endless supply. At the end of the night, the friendly staff had no problem helping take away garbage, and making sure that the rentals were all wrapped up and ready for pick up the next day. It was just a really pleasant process, and I won’t use anyone else for upcoming parties. Thank you guys!

J. Jardine catered a corporate event for us and were fantastic. They were extremely flexible and professional. When I first contacted Nicole she was quick to respond with multiple proposals so that we could choose one most suitable for our needs and budget. She helped us make sure we had everything covered and gave great advice when we selected our menu. When we increased our guest list at the last minute she and her team did a great job of accommodating and providing extra appetizers. Most importantly though, the food was terrific! J. Jardine made it so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and we will definitely be using their services again. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

We just used JJardine for the first time for a special house party for about 35 people and they were phenomenal from start to finish. Their business manager Nicole and chef/​owner Jim took great care of us and spent a lot of time making sure every detail would be perfect. They really seemed personally invested in the success of the event and everything exceeded expectations! The food was not only incredibly tasty but was beautifully presented. The servers were very professional and obviously experienced. Their prices were very reasonable – we provided the drinks and the overall cost would have been triple or quadruple if we held the event at a restaurant. And there’s no restaurant that’s as intimate or special as having an event at home. Bottom line: We will definitely use them again and again! Thank you Jim and Nicole and to the whole team!

JJardine Catering and Events has catered my parties for several years now. The chef — Jimmy Jardine, creates a wonderful spread of delicious h’ordeurves and tasty dishes. A hint of his Argentinian background as well as growing up in this multicultural Bay Area can be tasted on the food he prepares.
My guests always rave about how they really enjoyed what they got to nibble on. I always know that I’ll be above and beyond satisfied with his service.

I first became aware of JJardine Catering and Events several years ago at a few private events and then a special event that is now an annual catered dinner for a prominent non profit and every bite of food from an appetizer to a dessert this man and his company have produced has been a roaring success. Every bite of food I’ve tasted from this company is a passionate statement about the fresh, carefully chosen ingredients and the thoughtful consideration put into preparation and presentation. I has tasted his food enough and talked with him and his team enough to finally hire him for an event I wanted catering for and can only say I wish I’d had a television crew to capture the expressions on my guests faces and their raves about the quality and tastes created for my event by JJardine Catering. My event was small and only required finger/​appetizer food and what they created included the most addictive sliders I’ve ever tasted, made of Niman Ranch beef with a dollop of Gorgonzola and grilled onion on the tiny toasted buns, vegetarian Samos’a that were out of this world and tiny crostini’s with beef tenderloin and a fresh tapenade that were crispy and crunchy with melt in the mouth tender filet and zesty fresh vegetables and fruit in the tapenade, just delicious. As a bonus after the never ending trays of these fabulous concoctions, they passed his house made chocolate truffles with candied Walnuts and almost every one of my guests either went up to Mr. Jardine or his staff asking for a business card. I received raves and made a great impression on my guests and I hope he grew his business after providing one of the best catering experiences ‘ve ever known. I’ll be using and singing the praises of this business a long time and highly recommend them.
