This place is filled with meth smokers and prostitutes. People smoke meth in this hotel openly even with there room door opened and while manager knows but turn s a blind eye. The bathrooms are shared and are covered with piss all over the floor bathroom are clean only after maid comes and that doesn’t last long. The guy that works the front desk uses the bathroom with the door open and urinates all over toilet seat and floor also when I stayed there the hotel guys in front were always drunk off beer and smell of old cigarettes beer and dirty clothes rooms are clean besides the fact I found a insect on my sheets 100% a bedbug and this hotel is overpriced at $ 90plus per night when its real value should be around $ 25 per night or cheaper if not free. So unless u like dirty prostitutes crack heads 2nd hand cigarette and meth smoke I wouldn’t recommend this hotel on anyday

Despite past reviews, I had a very pleasant experience during my stay at the Kailash Hotel. For one, I booked the room on the day before New Years Eve and didn’t even have to pay to reserve it through ! I arrived at the hotel at around 8PM(very convenient location, around the corner from 16th St BART). The building is secure and requires you to be buzzed in by staff. When I went to check in, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and it only took my boyfriend and I 5 mins to check in. The room was $ 100 which is a steal for San Francisco on New Years Eve. Also, no deposit was required and no credit card needed for holding. The gentleman we checked in with was kind enough to go upstairs and show us our room which was good sized with a large closet, queen bed and working flat screen tv. Showers and toilet are located outside the room in a shared setting but this wasn’t a problem being right across the hall. When we checked out, a different employee wished us «Happy New Year», checked the room, and made our check out smooth and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for letting us spend our New Years Eve here!

Absolutely horrible hotel. I booked a room here weeks in advance only to show up and be told it was unavailable due to «construction». This hotel made no effort to contact me and inform me of this ahead of time… so I was completely out of luck. This was during peak bookings so the only place I could find was for 3 times my original budget. The attendant was not willing to help nor was the hotel willing to compensate me for something that was clearly negligence on their part. Even worse… their page showed they still had rooms available… I urge everyone to stay away from this hotel! Go anywhere else if possible!

Came to San Francisco on a trip last weekend and booked this hotel through a month in advance. when I arrived, the hotel was completely under construction and had no rooms available at all. When I was greeted by the«employee» working there, he was very shady and he «tried» to call for a new hotel room for us and I could tell he was not actually talking to anyone, he was just trying to get rid of us. He ended telling us about a hotel nearby and gave us the number for a HOMELESSSHELTER. He did not apologize on his part. There was no communication before hand that the hotel was not available. The place looked disgusting and even thought the place was under construction, you can tell it was not going to get any better. This hotel also has terrible reviews on . I would not advise anyone to stay here, not even as a last resort.
