It was open late, and we were looking for a good falafel sandwich. Unfortunately, both our orders were so skimpy and way over priced. I really want to like this place, but just wasn’t worth the money.

Wait staff were nice to recommend a variety of dishes to share as a good way of trying many dishes. We decided not to share, as some people were picky about what they ate. Food was good — everyone agreed about that, and portion for price was reasonable(remember, this is SF). The only thing I didn’t like is that the restroom is right smack in the middle of the restaurant, but that must be an expensive thing to change.

This restaurant serves decent Mediterranean food. I ordered a sampler with hummus, baba, and tabbouleh and a cup of spinach soup. The salads were very small, but all tasted fresh and decent. Too bad they were served with super stale pita. They were also served with thinly sliced veggies, which I loved! I would try this restaurant again in the future.

Lamb meatballs are my absolute go to! I can eat quite a bit and they always fill me up! The waitresses are also incredibly polite and always smiling :)

Nice place to have lunch! The portions are small but very filling. You must wait a while to be seated so I suggest not to come here if you are in a rush. Portions for lunch are perfect soup is good! Staff is friendly!

INCREDIBLE… been here many times when my dad lived in the city. Top 5 for sure — amazing food, great café atmosphere, especially outdoor seating Can’t go without ordering the muhallabieh dessert — a pistachio milk pudding with rose water. One of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten

Was perusing Fillmore St. when Unilocal pointed my group in the direction of this establishment. Well Mercy Me what a blessing! Unilocal, you sweet guardian angel you with your efficacious assistance. We walked in to an intimate setting of small tables and light music and were seated in a cozy outcropping to the left of the door. Our table was hungry and ordered the Large Combination Plate for an appetizer, which combined with the never ending pita sufficed more than satisfactorily to satiate the initial hunger. For the entrée I ordered the Middle Eastern Plate with Lamb Lule and we split a bottle of the Israeli white wine. Honestly some of the best Mediterranean cuisine I have ever had and the setting was quiet, comfortable, and pleasant. Will be returning as often as possible.

This is a homey little San Francisco place that has been around(for nowadays) what feels like forever. Very good food and reasonable prices. I take out from here about once a week!

After 2 Years I decided to give this place another chance, since my last review I did not step foot in here. 3 Days ago I ordered there Falafel Sandwhich, AMAZING. very delicious, side of bread? and something that look’s like pudding but it’s Garlic lol. Today I ordered the Salmon Cake Salad, delicious! I ordered extra dressing on the side and extra feta cheese which I didn’t get. I will be coming here often now.

I could have sworn I’ve been here before but apparently not. I must have thought so because my wife loves this place and has been so many times. We got here right when it opened up which was nice because no one was there and our kids didn’t bother anyone. We got the Mediterranean Meza for 2 and it was great. The hummos and baba ghanoush were particularly tasty. Great, legit Mediterranean food.

Great Mediterranean food. Service is wonderful too. Their pilaf is great along with their teas. I can’t go often enough.

A-OK is about right for me. The menu was really small. The vegetarian options were surprisingly limited for mediterranean. The service was great, very friendly.

This charming little restaurant — almost a hole-in-the-wall — mixes Middle Eastern /Mediterranean /Armenian food with a French décor. While prices are not cheap(Pac Heights after all) — $ 13 – 15 for a main dish — and the food itself was decent with a twist(CHICKENSHAWARMA came out of a sandwich maker?!) I missed some variety on the menu. No Barg(marinated grilled beef on a skewer) and Chicken(80%) and Lamb(20%) as the only meat options. The food was good though so I don’t mind. Interesting take was the ARMENIANLAGER. You don’t find this beer that often in SF.

First visit for my husband and I on a Sunday night at 5:30 for early dinner. Place wasn’t packed yet but our hostess seemed miffed when we decided to pick a table vs. having her seat us where she wanted. We were given a small plate of spiced chickpeas –very tasty– to snack on while we waited for our server. Decided on appetizers of a large fruit and cheese plate and olives with feta, main courses saffron chicken over rice pilaf with a side salad and the Lebanese Kibbeh meatballs with creamy tomato soup. The fruit and cheese plate confused us. Although artfully presented it was basically composed of one apple and one orange sliced up with dried cranberries and red grapes scattered around them. The cheese was literally one slice of cheese cut into triangles and arranged in a star pattern in the middle. Really bizarre — where was the rest of the cheese and why such cheap fruit choices? In our minds we expected some figs and pears and cubes of good quality cheese. It was a crime to charge $ 11 for what we got. That said, the rest of our meal was much better. Really enjoyed the hummus that came with our entrees most especially. I also ordered some sweet mint iced tea. Didn’t have room for dessert as we polished off the hummus, pita bread and rice pilaf. Meal came out to just over $ 70 with a 20% tip. Service was pleasant, but really slow. If you’re used to dining in a flash, it can be aggravating having to flag the server down… probably why there were a lot of orders for take out. I’d like to come back again for lunch and have the hummus and some more small plates with a glass of wine.

So, a belated thanksgiving dinner with the sister and brother in law. A more than half empty restaurant, we wanted to sit in this really cosy corner, however this waitress was far less than accommodating and persisted that we sit according to her wish, however after a lot of persuasion from oue end we sat at our spot we wanted. Another waitress helped us with the specials for the day… which had the saffron chicken kebab on a bed of rice… so I went with her choice. The platter looked quite appetizing, however to my disappointment it didn’t taste as well. The kebab was hard as rock, considering it being a special there was nothing special abt it. I did give the feedback to our waitress, she was accommodating to replace the meal however it was the whole experience which I wanted to enjoy with my family of eating together. My two star went only for the coziness of the restaurant and its ambience.

We have a catered lunch every Friday at work. This past Friday, October 2nd, our company got lunch from La Mediterranee. It arrived around 12:30pm. I talked to the person who coordinated it and she said she used ZeroCater to place our lunch order. Everything below was served family style: *Chicken Pomegranate *Hummos *Spinach and Feta Filo *Falafel *Green Salad *Rice Pilaf *Pita *Dolma I loved the chicken, hummus and salad. The chicken was super tender. The hummus was smooth and great as a sauce on everything. Really good flavor. And I’m a girl who loves greens, so I had two helpings of salad. The falafel, pita and dolma were pretty good, but those weren’t very warm when they arrived, so I had a texture issue with them as they were a little hard. I liked the spinach and feta filo, but I don’t like whole chickpeas, so I found myself picking them out.(Yes, I love hummus, but I don’t like whole chickpeas. Weird, I know, but it’s a taste and texture thing.) I didn’t try the rice pilaf, so I can’t comment on that dish. My coworker said this is one of her favorite Mediterranean places and I can see why. I just wish the hot food had arrived hot. Or at least warmer than it did. Cold falafels and mushy dolmas took away from my meal a bit. Next time, I wanna go in and try their lamb lule. It sounds like the dish to get! Hopefully the falafels will be fresh and hot!

Small place, pretty cute. It’s more of a 3.5 star rating for me. The food was good but it wasn’t anything exceptional to me. The pita bread wasn’t that soft but it wasn’t terrible. I got the lunch special where you could select three pieces in a meal. I got the chicken pomegranate, spinach and feta fillio, and the lamb lule. The chicken was definitely the best, it fell right off the bone and was still juicy. I wish I had tried the moussaka so maybe I’ll return and then further evaluate the place haha We also got dessert. The lemon cake was pretty lemony and on the drier side. I personally don’t really like cake and if I do eat it I prefer it super moist so my opinion may not really be valid haha Overall good but not the best Mediterranean I’ve had.

4.5 stars! I’d give 4 stars for the food and an extra ½ star for the service. Our server Arthur was AWESOME! He was energetic, friendly, and very helpful. An excellent server like him really makes the whole dining experience better. Kudos! The food was good. Not the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had, but I still really enjoyed it! First of all — $ 10 off any bottle of wine on Mon & Tues nights! Seriously great deal. Especially since we had a group of 6 people… it was totally worth it to get a couple bottles. I have to eat gluten free(Celiac), and they have a gluten free menu… well it says«wheat free» menu which doesn’t equal gluten free so I had to double check(it was fine). I got the pomegranate chicken… yum! I got the potato salad with it which was interesting… not bad but probably would opt for the side salad next time. All of my friends loved their food as well. We got the large combo for an app which was just enough to spread around the table. They brought me veggies instead of pita bread. All said and done, it came to about $ 35 per person including the app and wine! Great deal if you ask me. Also FYI this location is TINY! Which I guess is kind of normal for SF restaurants, but this one seemed extra tiny. It wasn’t busy when we went on a Wednesday night thank goodness… but they don’t take reservations so be prepared to wait on a weekend.

Amazing and super delicious! There’s a reason why this restaurant is still a local’s favorites and a veteran among all the new, up-and-coming, up-and-going, and closed-up-shop restaurants in the super competitive San Francisco restaurant industry. This restaurant is small and perfect for a small group of 2 – 4. The outdoor seating is great for fresh air and to people watch on the trendy Fillmore street. The service was wonderful. We were seated promptly, ordered promptly, food came out promptly, and stuffed our faces full and belly happy promptly, paid promptly and hopped on with life promptly. It’s a busy little city after all. T O P D I S H The best of both worlds: half Lamb Lule and Pomegranate Chicken dinner plate with mixed greens($ 15). The lamb meatballs are juicy and delicious, and the chicken literally falls off the bone. The dinner plate comes with the beautifully seasoned rosemary rice pilaf with raisins bs chickpea, fresh creamy hummus, and mixed greens. Speak about finger-licking goodness, and yes, you will clean your plate. Trust, it’s that amazing! S I D E N O T E I was surprised to find easy parking right off of Fillmore on a warm Sunday night. I guess people don’t really drive at night anymore, much less park. Thank you über/lyft for making my parking life easier for me.

This place is super cute and cozy and the staff smiley and welcoming. I saw mentions of the owner, Arthur, in previous reviews and he was as nice and enthusiastic as everyone described. Food was delicious. I ordered the chicken pomegranate with a side salad. The drumsticks were fall-off-the-bone tender with a tangy punch to it. Pita and hummus dip was a much-appreciated side. We indulged and ordered baklava for dessert and boy was it worth it. It’s $ 6.50 regular price and $ 5 happy hour price. Wonder if the portions would be the same… Overall, great spot!

I love the interior decoration and very homie feel to it. Great Mediterranean food in San Francisco and good location on Fillmore street. Not the typical gyros you would get, the food selection is more around authentic Mediterranean food skewers, full plates of meat, rice, and salad. I would highly recommend the Lamb Lulu very great flavor, spices and super tender meat. It is Lamb style meatballs laid on the top of a bed of yellow rice, with a mixed greens salad. If you’re being adventurous I would try the Chicken Pomegranate which is chicken soaked into pomegranate sauce served over a rice pilaf. If you’re a fan of tea I would recommend getting the Moroccan mint tea probably one of the best teas I’ve had.

Affordable Fillmore eatery without that yuppie frufru-ness. Friendly, quick service. Solid food options. No wait Sunday during lunchtime. The waiter said the chicken pomegrante and lamb lule(meatball) are the most popular dishes. I tried both of them, and they were all right. The babaganoush is what really blew my mind. And their creamy hummus is good too! The lunch special is a good deal. Choose 3 items for $ 9.95. Comes with rice pilaf and choice of a side(green salad, soup, or potato salad). Le Med is a small restaurant that makes the most of their space. Really puts a good amount of tables in their unique building layout. I was really amazed at their efficient service. Because many of their dishes are a combinations of basic items(i.e. rice pilaf, hummus, salad, etc.) they are able to cook in large quantities. Translation = quick service. Oh, and this is a kid friendly place! They have a kid’s menu, crayons for coloring, and high chairs.

Stumbled upon this cute Mediterranean while walking up and down Fillmore… and then discovered that this is actually a neighborhood hotspot! In any case, this was one of the best Mediterranean meals I’ve had. The space is very cozy and casual, though a bit crowded. But I feel that’s an authentic ethnic experience in any case, so it was a plus. The food as amazing. We got the large appetizer platter — which consisted of hummus, baba ganoush, pickled veggies, tabouli, and grape leaves, half pomegranate chicken/half lamb meatballs, and the kibbeh. The appetizer platter was awesome. The hummus was delicious — so much flavor and lots of lemon. My other favorite were the grape leaves. They’ve always been a bit boring to me, but these were great. The chicken and lamb meatballs were awesome. Both were packed with flavor and went well with the seasoned rice pilaf. And yay for more hummus with the entrée platters! The chicken rice purée soup was very lemon-y, which I liked, but might be polarizing for some people. Definitely a must visit if you’re in Pac Heights!

La Med, a Pac Heights staple for decades. One of the few decent sit down meals one can get for under $ 15 in San Francisco. Am a huge fan of their happy hour! Get a glass of vino with a sampler of humus, veggies and babaganoush and you’re set for the evening. Pita bread is soft and chewy, which is tres importante if you’re a carb lover like moi. Servers are nice gals, the kind that take your order and pretty much leave you alone unless you need something. No «have you dined here before?» song and dance. No small talk, either. Décor inside is eclectic, just like the name of the restaurant and menu. A little European charm mixed with Mediterranean flair.

Definitely my favorite place to get Mediterranean food. Try the Combination plate with the Pomegranate Chicken(So tasty and moist), with the Filo pastries + a side of Hummus(so creamy. and dreamy).
