This has got to be one of the worst locations in terms of customer service. I try not to go to this location because I consistently get poor service, but I was in the neighborhood running errands and figured it couldn’t get any worse. I was wrong. I ordered two Frappuccinos. The cashier was nice enough, but the barista, Nate, was the only one making drinks and he was downright awful. He has got to be THE slowest barista I’ve ever seen, and he acted as though he was being bothered by doing his job. He was making drinks out of order they were paid for and multitasking is not in his skill set. One of my drinks came up, he muttered the order and turned back around to start on another drink. I had ordered one of the new Caramel Waffle Cone Frappucinos, somehow drizzling on the caramel was too much for him. I could have complained, but what’s the point? Wait another 20 minutes for him to remake my drink? THREE drinks later, I asked Nate about my second drink, he didn’t respond with words, he just picked up the empty cup with my name on it and showed it to me gesturing he was getting to it? So I waited. He finally mutters out my order and someone else’s order and sets them down. The other customer is in a wheelchair and he didn’t even push it far enough for her to reach it! It took nearly twenty minutes to get two frappuccinos on a Sunday afternoon. Really??? I get it, maybe you’re having a bad day, maybe you hate your job, so either suck it up or get a different job. Management: usually I just encounter rude and/or curt employees here, but seriously, this level of customer service is unacceptable.

If you come to this location early in the mornings(like me) you will recognize her. She is an old woman, probably in her 80s, with a hump and impaired mobility that forces her to use a four-legged walking cane. She sits in the same corner of the café– wearing a black wool coat– with pieces of paper scattered on the table in front of her. She could be any of our ma, grandma, or great grandma, but she is probably alone. She probably has no idea what Unilocal or social media is but if she did this is probably what she would write– «Dear Starbucks on Fillmore. Thank you for serving me such good coffee and breakfast every morning. You taste very nice, and are not too expensive which I really appreciate in this old age. I come here every morning and love seeing these beautiful young faces pass by as they order their morning coffee. The ambition, stress, love, desire, and gushing youth in their eyes reminds me of the years gone by. How I want to be be back in those years of my own youth… how I want to tell every single one of them to pause a little, take a deep breath, enjoy these moments for these moments they breathe are too precious and will never come back again. I love your baristas who greet me with a familiar smile everyday and know my order before I can even speak the words. Thank you for giving me some of those most beautiful moments every morning of the day. I cherish these memories in this declining old age. This long life has taught me to always forgive, cherish, and appreciate what it has to offer. I don’t ask for much and feel no reason as to why you shouldn’t get the five stars that you deserve here. Age and its effect on my body has caused me to rely on mobility aid… my doctors office has the same wheelchair access signs that you have outside your entrance and bathroom doors. They also have these most wonderful round metal buttons you can press to allow easy entrance and exit without much problem. I am old and understand am probably the one in thousands who come to your café with these special needs but how wonderful will be it be if you equip your doors with those similar metal buttons! I could use the saved energy to walk a little more every day. Pardon my grammar and language here for I am too old and tired to comprehend and express with the same eloquence as I could a decade back. Blessings»

just like Lennie G I had a rough encounter with CHELSEA the barista. I had to reload my card and I typically put $ 50 on my card. Chelsea refused to do this and claimed that Starbucks never accepted orders over $ 25. ATEVERYOTHERSTARBUCKSTHISHASNEVERBEEN A PROBLEM. Since it was busy and I had ordered my drinks before I approached the register and she refused to use my reward to pay for the drink. she is so negative it is just depressing. Also — I saw another employee over by the milk and sugar section and she was looking ta the community board right above it when she took down a poster for a breast cancer foundation that you can donate to. she then yelled to another employee that she is taking this down because it is «begging for money» the said under her breath«stupid breast cancer». THISPERSONMUSTHAVENOMORALS. If i wasn’t on a time crunch I would have talked to hr or her manager about that.

CHELSEA the Barista here at this location is the RUDEST person I ever had to encounter at this Starbucks location. I ordered 2 Tall Chai Latte’s and she only made 1 when I asked her if there was another on the way she then looked at me and answered with attitude and said«No there was only 1 ordered» I then said well I paid for 2 and she asked the cashier of I ordered 2 and the cashier looked at her and said yes its right here on the counter. So then she grabs it makes my drink then slammed it on the counter and didn’t apologize. I believe if you work for a popular franchise then you should be taught good costumer service obviously she lacks in this. I work in the medical field and I never give patients attitude otherwise I wouldn’t do what I do. Chelsea obviously should not be working in anything that has to do with costumer service.

Such rude employees. I’ve been a barista myself for 5 years and you simply don’t turn away customers because you’re closing in 2 minutes. Why does this location close at 9pm, anyway?

Went in to order a hot chocolate. Key word here: HOT. You would think the biggest coffee chain in the county like Starbucks would get it right. The drink was cold. When I told the barista, he had a snooty attitude, and proceeded to redo my drink, filling only half with liquid and other half with«foam.» Next time this happens, I’m going to make a fuss by asking for their manager. Keep up the great work, Starbucks! Not surprised La Boulange is going under. Crappy«food» and horrible customer service. Won’t be going here again. Peet’s is right across the street.

Not the best or worst Starbucks experience I’ve ever had, but the barista didn’t seem to register my question about whether a promotion was available to me, didn’t know what a frappuccino light was, was out of the lemonade to make an iced tea lemonade, and there was no Splenda out. Luckily they had two packets behind the bar. Also there is no outdoor seating, just FYI.

My neighborhood Starbucks… usually come to meet a friend that’s here everyday. She’s the one that they all know her name and sits in the same spot with her laptop. I’m usually in for my latte when I’m too lazy to make my coffee at home But I like that everyone knows her here. Decent size, you can pretty much find a spot to sit. But usually people take to go. :-)

Hands down the worst service both in speed, quality and attitude. There is one young woman in particular who should not be in front of customers.

Worst customer service. They practically threw my coffee at me. The service person refused to run my transaction and to give me a cup of ice.

Forewarning: this review is going to be gushy and even saccharine, I make no apologies because it’s long overdue. Friendliest staff ever! They know my name, they know my order and they start my day off happy, even before being served coffee. They are patient and kind, even when they have a line out the door, which is more often than not, in my experience. I wish there were more people with their wonderful demeanor in the city. Like many in the service industry, I’m sure they don’t get the thanks they deserve. I know working with the general public can make the sanest person want to cut someone, and yet, they don’t. These lovely folks deserve raises and all the respect.

Friendly Starbucks, at least for San Francisco standards. There is never really a good time to grab a seat — so either you get lucky or you’ll just walk over to Peet’s and sit over there. Some crazy old ladies appear to choose this location as their meeting spot, but who am I to judge. When I’m 85 with fuzzy grey hair I’ll probably hang out at Starbucks every day, and mumble to myself about the mysteries of life.

I’ve been working in the area for almost 3 years and I never had a problem with this Starbucks until Friday 03/20/2015. After my last visit I will highly suggest thinking twice before coming here. After ordering my Turkey Bacon Egg White Sandwich I was surprised when I sat down at work to eat my breakfast that I found part of a sticker and what looked like mold to me on the sandwich. Upon returning to Starbucks to show them, I was met with NOAPOLOGYATALL. Not ONE sorry at all. The woman at the front simply took the sandwich and tossed it in the trash and had another made. This is NOT a «Sorry I screwed up your Soy Mocha with a Soy Latte, let me make you a new one,» situation. After this whole experience anyone in the right state of mind would think twice coming here because obviously they have a very low level of customer service and low level of health code standards. Please see picture for reference.

I work just around the corner and it’s the most convenient place to grab a cup of coffee besides Pete’s. The lines are usually pretty long but it goes by fast so there’s not too much of a wait. The staff is not always friendly and usually get our office order drink wrong. I love Starbucks but I hope the staff works on their attitudes and at-least act like they are grateful to have a job.

This Starbucks isn’t just a Starbucks, it’s family that includes everyone. From Edwin to Chella to Hafsah to Hermann to Ashley to all of the others that I do not know as well, these people are not just baristas, but absolutely amazing people. When I moved to SF, this friendly barista named Edwin gave me a compliment that meant a lot to me and then we took the time to get to know each other after a few visits. We found out we both played soccer, started playing together(now I am even on the Starbucks team!), and have become great friends. Hafsah is studying to be a nurse and Chella manages another job at a costume store. I’m not trying to tell you these people’s biographies. What I am trying to tell you is that when you enter this particular Starbucks, you are walking into a group of people who work so hard to achieve their other dreams, but put all of their other stresses behind them because they want you to enjoy the experience. They just want to make you smile, caffeinate you, and wish you a great day. I walk 6 blocks to this Starbucks every single day when there is a Starbucks 2 blocks away from where I live. That’s how amazing these people are. They greet me by name, know exactly what I want(too embarrassing to actually admit on the internet), and we always talk about something, even if it’s just for 3 – 5 min. Great Starbucks coffee, awesome sandwiches and pastries, perfect workplace, but most importantly, AMAZING people.

Starbucks staff are friendly and fast in preparing your favorite drinks. This Starbucks is within a neighborhood of over 95 walk score. The hours of operation is convenient for early morning coffee to late night caffeine free drinks. If you have a dog you can chain your dog outside and enjoy your drink in outdoor seating.

Ok, so a Starbucks is a Starbucks, usually no surprises there. Except at this place, there are some really solid employees. Every time I come in, an employee named Edwin is SO pleasant, and just tears through the(often long) line, with ace customer service, prepping drink orders as fast as he can take them, which males payment way faster and by the time you pay your drink is usually ready(or close to). He never messes up orders; it’s amazing. This is a pretty busy location, in a high traffic area, and employees like Edwin are the reason I keep going back. Get that guy in management, because he’s great!

It’s a Starbucks! What can I say? I have no complaints about my drinks here. The line can get long during lunch hours but they’re still pretty quick. I’d expect it to take about 5 – 10 minutes from entering the store to getting your drink. There’s an adequate amount of seating if you wanted to sit down. I would say there’s about 8 small round tables. I probably wouldn’t study here because the Laurel Village Starbucks has more tables and it’s close enough. But I love that this Starbucks is just about a block away from work. Yay!

My coworker wanted a San Francisco Starbucks mug. This was the first Starbucks I was near on my trip so I came in to get him one. This location does not sell any merchandise, only food and coffee. So don’t come here for your collector mugs! We ordered coffee anyway. Mine was fine but took forever to be made, while my friend and BF who ordered right before me go theirs right away. My BF didn’t think they put the 3 shots in that he asked for. It got the job done, we got caffeine, but no mug.
