5 of us went there at 10.30 p.m. on a wednesday night because the Unilocal details, menu, and reviews seemed great. the only problem was they had no food available!!! i think the Unilocal details should show that although they are open until 2 a.m. the food service stops at some undisclosed time!

Not a dive and not just a bar. In a town with very expensive menus, this is a great find for a decent burger, salad, or both. Happy hour is until 7 on — a plus. Service is good. TV in sports if you like and nice tunes from the 70s in up on deck.

First, a disclaimer: we got delivery, so it’s possible that the dine-in experience is totally different. The food quality was just totally disappointing for the price. My mom got a burger, which was fine and cooked to order, but the fries seemed to be made from some kind of cardboard-potato-styrofoam hybrid. Not a fan. I ordered salmon and vegetables. Pros: it was indeed salmon, and it seemed to have been cooked to safe internal temperature. Cons: it was a hunk of bland fish with zero seasoning, and the vegetables were of the squishy, wet, you-definitely-just-microwaved-a-bag-of-Green-Giant variety. Would not order from this place again.

A really good dive bar, I stumbled in here while I was waiting for my friends to show up and did not want to walk 10 blocks down the hilly San Francisco. I waited here for myself a Mojito and some hand cut fries. The Mojito was a little on the lite side as it had more of the mix then alcohol, the fries was good as well.

The bar tender did not know how to make a margarita. It was not even worth the happy hour price.

This was a great place to begin our San Francisco experience, the staff is amazing, just as well as the food and wide selections of drinks. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming. If you love a happy place and smiling faces, this is the place that must be on your list when you come to San Francisco. Cheers and visit this okay if you are in town !

So strange how I’ve never been here before(considering the fact that my boyfriend used to work around the corner from this place!) I went on a Wednesday night and to my surprise, it was pretty packed. It’s a bit of hassle getting here because it’s on a steep hill off of Powell & Bush. My boyfriend and I came right before happy hour ended. The man who seats you, his name is Shipley. Really nice guy and easy going to talk to. Once I got seated, he offered to remove my coat for me! On the tables, they only have the HH menu, cocktails, wine, beer and small plates and bites. If you’re looking for a meal definitely check out Unilocal and other Unilocal reviews on what to order. We got the HH chicken wings and the clams(which come in a soup base and bread on the side). Drinks — blood orange margarita for me and my boyfriend got a stout beer. Was definitely good, but I’m a gal who likes well blended and mixed drinks, so I’m open to try other drinks when I come back! I recommend this place if you’re near union square or by downtown. Take a taxi or über if you don’t like walking up a hill, and parking is street but there is a garage in front of Grant Hotel that’s easy to get to.

Without a doubt, the worst delivery food experience I’ve had in SF. It took them almost 2 hours and a half to make the delivery, and when it arrived it could not have been colder, it feels like the food spent the 2 and a half hours in the trunk of the car. Besides being cold, the quality was simply not good enough for the price. A chicken sandwich with three times more bread than chicken. More than $ 30 for almost nothing. Never again.

Cool place with a low key vibe. Standard bar fare but I didn’t eat just grabbed a beer. Beers range from $ 5 to $ 8 but they do a happy hour 4 – 7. A comfortable place to have a drink for sure!

Cozy hole in the wall spot just on the outskirts of Union Square at the top of a hill :) Welcome to San Francisco. DIdn’t try any food here as we just popped in for a nightcap. Had an english feel and menu. Staff was attentive and nice. Wide variety of beer/wine/alcohol selection and reasonably priced considering the area.

Good atmosphere Good Food if there’s no glass in it. See picture of glass shard found in Chicken Curry. It happens but I was shocked when the plate stayed on the table for the rest of dinner. When we were obviously done with all other plates the waitress came and said it would not be on the bill. (I had already started writing this). Waitress asked if I would like another one ?!? Another chicken curry I asked? They didn’t dump out the pot of chicken curry??? How many more dishes went out with glass after that!!! I hope this is being read tonight before anyone orders it!!!

This is one of those places where you go if you want some fancy high end cocktail… with so many high end labels it’s hard to choose. There are a lot of martini glasses floating around with a cocktail list, items I’m sure you’ve never heard of. The food… I’m really big on the quality of beef. And I’ll have to say I loved the hamburger sliders with Cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon aioli. And for something I never order… ribs. OMG they are great zesty sauce. To top off all the deliciousness I had their ‘Buttermilk fried chicken sandwich’ Yummmmm-ie! The staff always makes me feel welcome and ensures my satisfaction. Thank you! XOXO

Cool little sports bar that plays classic rock. Relaxed atmosphere, except the server was a bit hasty. The pear Gorgonzola salad was nice. The seating is unique because you can sit at the bar, at tables, or little nook type boothes.

I was out in San Francisco on a business trip, and got out there later in the evening around 8 or so. I came in and the hostess welcomed me immediately and I sat at the bar. The second I sat down I was treated like a king. I was talking with the bartender about what beers were good, they had just gotten, and her recommendation. Drank a great North Coast brew while wondering what I wanted to order. In the meantime, an older gentleman(who I’m assuming was either the owner or manager on duty) had come up to me and asked if I needed anything. I ordered the fish tacos and some sweet potato fries(my muse) and had them in front of me in next to no time at all. Prior to that I had finished my beer and the owner/manager had instantly got back to me and asked if I wanted something else. I ordered an old fashioned cocktail and it was pretty good compared to the others I’ve had and it was probably the best priced one for what I got too. The fish tacos were great, the filets were large compared to the tortilla but who complains about too much meat? The fries were excellent also. After finishing my dinner and my old fashioned, the owner/manager again came up to me almost immediately and wanted to know if i’d like another. We checked my tab so I was sure I had the funds and I asked for his recommendation. He actually recommended their blood orange margarita which was hella good. I was happy about that because it wasn’t some über-expensive drink recommendation, something simple and enjoyable. The drinks and food here were top-notch and priced just as well. I will happily be returning here again the next time I’m in SF. I get that because I was a party of 1 I got faster service but no one else in the place seemed to be waiting on anything or complaining either. This place is great!

It was hot in the sun, but cold in the shade. What to do? Lets have a drink. Service was Johnny on the spot and the libations were more than I expected from the look of this place. Bar tender wasn’t in the mood for small talk, so we moved on.

Cool little place. Excellent service! It was unseasonably hot, so I ordered a glass of water. We received a giant green bottle of water, along with two icy glasses of cubes. Small draught beer selection, but not a wasted tap in the house. I had a Racer 5 and a Mirror Pond. Cocktails are fantastic! The food is very good. We had soup of the day(Lentil) and shared a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Both were excellent! I’m not usually a big fan of lentil soup, but I ate every last drop and even considered licking the bowl, clean. The sandwich was nothing extraordinary, but was very good. Laid back vibe and cool music. Oldies R&B and early rock-n-roll, during our visit. Smoooooth!

I went here for a quick drink celebrating my dad’s birthday. Funnily enough, the bartender(possibly owner?) and the guy sitting next to my dad all shared the same name! In any case, the bartender helped us take a picture outside with Powell Street in the background, and then offered to us to come inside to have a drink. After finding out about the special day, he gave the birthday boy a glass of whiskey to celebrate, and then served us up our drinks. We maintained pleasant conversation the entire time, and the entire experience was quite enjoyable! We didn’t order any food since we were only there for 20 minutes or so, but I can say the drink selection was extensive and expensive. Many of the drinks were 7 or 8 dollars. Besides the expensive drinks, everything else was good. The environment was really well-decorated and had a great British feel to it. The service was prompt and courteous, and the bartender engaged in friendly conversation and practically brought us in off the street. It was nice! I’d definitely recommend the Last Drop Tavern to friends.

We randomly happened upon this place on a weekday evening. We were looking for a place to watch the game and the bigger places were packed. Last Drop Tavern is on a steep hill above Union Square. Clientele– Not sure if it was just this night, but there seems to be a large UK/Irish influence here. May be the spot for the Brits to come?! Fun! Service– Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. Atmosphere– Small dive bar with what seems like a niche customer base. We were the youngest people there(30’s). They have a few televisions around the place and music playing. Sorta a small space with cramped tables. It wasn’t too crowded when we came around 6pm. Food and Drinks– They have a happy hour special. Guac and chips for $ 6. Bourbon ribs for $ 9. All in all, we had a good time and were glad we found this spot. It fit our needs for the time being.
