Great corner restaurant. Here on conference from Houston staying at #theorchard & saw this little place. Food & service was great, had eggs Benedict

Some time to kill before getting picked up for the muir woods tour. Had already eaten a heavy breakfast and wanted something light. Ordered an espresso and then requested the waitress to get me a gnocchi with pesto sauce Did I mention it was not on the menu? Well she got it! Delicious! The gnocchi was soft enough, the pesto reminded me of the hills of Tuscany! Still wanted something else. got a gorgonzola salad. The apple was julienned, the walnuts carmelized just right to complement the gorgonzola! The espresso with the brown sugar cube reminded of my visit to Venice and the little cafeteria in Murano where I drank coffee while the wife was thinking how to spend money! It was cold then in Murano and it was cold here in San Francisco. Ah grazie espresso!

Great breakfast and service! A little pricey, but that’s to expect in the neighborhood.

I went for breakfast and the Sonoma omelet was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. Exactly what you would expect from a diner.

Found this place while on a business trip to SF. After flying in late, I checked into my hotel and decided to take a stroll around the block to see what was open. Even though they were going to close in 15 minutes, they were more than happy to seat me. I tried the Salmon alla Siciliana and it was AMAZING. The sauce was incredible and the mashed potatoes were great! This place is a hidden gem!

We had breakfast here — it was tasty but really overpriced… but it was good when you’re hungry and you dno’t way to pay for hotel breakfast food.

Delicious Food. All 4 of us had the Roxanne Burger and we all loved it. Will be back in the future!

Excellent service. Standard American food. We had dessert with coffee and tea. Yes the light fixtures are God Awful… particularly the one over the bar which looks like some sort of octupus hatching pod… but you are not snacking on the lamps.

Ambiance: convenient location near Union Square, right off the cable car line at Powell. Small restaurant, but they were able to accommodate some larger groups(6 – 8). Best for parties of 2 – 4. Service: really friendly, good service. Food: –Belgian waffle: pretty much what you would expect. Not exceptional, but good. –California omelette with fruit(instead of potatoes): this omelette was tasty, had a generous amount of avocado, and the fruit was fresh. Overall, I won’t be aching to come back, but it’s a good place if you’re visiting and need a good meal.

Ambiance: Small, cute n cozy café. Approximately 20 fairly packed in tables. Great city vibe. Patrons: Locals and tourists from the Union Square area. Food: Pretty decent breakfast selection(pancakes, French toast, Eggs Benedict, etc.) Could use a bit more healthy options. Price: typical for the area. $ 10 – 12 for most breakfast options.

Not bad. Relatively well priced with ample breakfast options. I had an egg white custom omelette and the coffee is free refills. I’d go again.

My goodness I’ve never had delicious potatoes until I came here ! My bf and I were visiting from So Cal Anaheim & we came here the first day when we arrived at San Fran. We also got dinner from here that same night since our room was a couple streets down and also went for breakfast again our last day at San Fran. It was delicious The service was also great. I highly recommend this place. Even though it’s small & tight it’s totally worth it !(:

Cute little place but not impressed with the salmon eggs Benedict. The eggs were overcooked and overall didn’t have a good taste to it. Mimosa was good. My fork wasn’t clean. Had food crust on it.

It’s a little overpriced for the quality of the food but the customer service is kind and helpful! My friend and I ordered omelettes with a side of potatoes and a bread of choice. We both also ordered coffee. Skip it. $ 3 for unlimited refills, just go to Starbucks down the next block. The Sonoma omelette had good sausage but barely and peppers or onion. Overall? Cute shop, but I’d rather pay less for more.

Food is overpriced tourist prices and just so so. Nothing special. Burger and fries $ 17. My avocado in my burger was going black. Save your money go to Lori’s Diner better burger and fries $ 10. Or super duper is delicious for only $ 10!

I don’t get why on earth this restaurant got only 3 stars. I have been there 4 times during my 12 days in SF, I loved breakfast there. Always good food, service and good atmosphere. You don’t feel like in cheap breakfast place, and prices are maybe few dollars more than other usual places, overall you pay around $ 15-$ 18(tip inc) for breakfast with big Americano. Especially around 9am they were always busy but did not have to wait for my order longer than 10min. 100% recommend!!! Oh and good free WiFi for :)

I came here for lunch and this place was not memorable. The waitress was nice but the food just wasn’t impressive. I had the mushroom ravioli and the mushroom inside the ravioli was more like a paste, and the sauce was so strong I couldn’t taste anything but it. The pricing is reasonable and the service is fine but I feel like the food came out of a box :(

An adorable little café for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed down the street at the St Francis Hotel in Union Square and went out for a walk to see what could be found. We saw a line in front of Roxanne and kept walking, circled back around the line was gone. We sat at the counter and a sweet Latina lady about 5 feet tall said hi and gave us menus. She complemented my younger daughter on her smile and asked her a couple questions. Our assigned waitress then came over and barely smiled or acknowledged us. It took her at least 10 minutes to take our drink order, we were ready by then to order. I asked her how big the omelet was, she seemed super uninterested in answering any questions pertaining to her food service job, no smile, not even a tinge of jocundity. I know perhaps you had a bad morning or whatnot, but c’mon, I’m being really pleasant, show me a little love here, lady. We ordered a Mexican omelet to share, a side of fruit, bagel, oj and hot tea. It came out 10 minutes later or so, and yeah, Sullen Sandy puts the food down and quickly turns and walks away. I mistakenly asked for another side of avocado because the three tiny slices provided were not enough for these avocado lovin’ gals. Wrong. Another 10 minutes goes by, we were done cutting the avocado up into 463 teeny pieces to spread it on top of the omelet before I said to her as she walked by once more not noticing we were sitting there, «never mind the ‘cado, we’re cool…» She looked positively peeved with a semi eye roll and barked«it’s coming!» Whoa, uh, okay then, I’ll eat that side of avocado. It’s good for your hair, skin and nails. And that’s a good thing.

My first day in town I was walking around and came by the Roxanne Café. «What a cute little café», I thought to myself. So I decided to make this place my first meal in the city. What a bummer. Being that it was lunchtime I figured I’d get a sandwich or something easy. I have to say, I loved the inside of the restaurant. It was quaint. There was one other customer, a nice bar, and it was decorated nicely. I ordered and iced tea and a burger. In the meantime I noticed gnats flying around which began to worry me. The iced tea was good. The fries weren’t bad, but the burger was not good. Very greasy and tasted like a burger you’d buy in the freezer aisle at your local grocer. I’m not knocking those, but if I’m paying $ 10 for a meal, I want the real thing. Service was kind of meh, especially being that I was one of two people in the entire building. I ate what I could, paid, and left quickly. Maybe they have better food? Don’t get the burger and watch out for gnats.
