I’m obsessed with Laura Mercier makeup and I love this makeup counter. Artist, Andrew is the bomb! He always helps me and I leave feeling so happy about my purchase! Sometimes I wish I could just stay and hang out with this counter because they are so nice :)

Went to Laura Mercier last week for the A’s/Giants event to get my makeup done and to hear about some of their new products. Love their makeup! And they are super friendly and helpful. Ended up getting a new lipgloss and finding out how to use the eye shadow palette I bought last week. Love it!

I love Laura Mercier and recently ran out of products. I usually just order the product online because I know my colors and it is a time saver. But I recently got a tan(shock, since its SF) and needed to get my colors matched. I am a graduate student dontown and remembered their being a counter in the Macy’s. I hopped in and hadn’t been in their in over 5 years. And to my happy surprise they had a new counter that looked super nice. I was approached by a makeup artist, Christian, and he proceeded to tell me all about the different lines of makeup. He color matched me to perfection, even lead me over to the window so I could see the makeup in a more natural light. He Showed me additional products but I never felt like they were being forced on me. I ended up leaving with a sunscreen, concealer and an under eye cream. Not to mention an entire new face of makeup that looked amazing. Great way to spend my Friday lunch hour!

This review is for a particular employee and not the makeup itself. I was looking to have my makeup done. You know freshen up. try something new. The Laura Mercier counter was EMPTY so I thought to myself. I will give this place a whirl. The lady who helped me seemed nice enough at first. that was for the minute it took me to set myself down in her chair and take my coat off. She then quickly gave me a once over and said«you are aware there is a two purchase minimum correct» Ok. to be fair… I wasn’t wearing make-up and my hair was not perfectly coifed. but what was it that gave the woman the impression I was unaware of unwritten rules of make-up counters? I politely told her. «I am more than happy to buy a lip gloss and whatever other products I like that you use» She reiterated«well you have to buy ATLEAST two items» at this point I didn’t want anything to do with this snotty lady or her makeup. In my Pretty Woman moment I have always dreamed about I picked up my coat and walked off thinking I would come back later with all of my M.A.C. bags and say«Do you work on commission? Big mistake. HUGE. I have to go shopping now» After a quick vent to my sister I let my fantasy go. But you get the point.

I’m a big fan of Laura Mercier cosmetics and visited this counter a while back. The sales artist I talked to was very knowledgeable and matched my favorite discontinued lipstick from Benefit to one of Laura Mercier’s stick-glosses in less then sixty seconds. My only complaint would be is that one thing I can’t stand is know-it-alls, and one salesperson at this particular counter gave me that vibe. All in all, the main person who helped me was great and I will be visiting this counter again soon.

Laura Mercier makeup is okay, but I’m not a big fan of it. A few months ago during the Christmas shopping season, I got my makeup done here right before a photoshoot. I forgot the name of the middle-aged lady who did my makeup but she did a fantastic job ! She did a really nice smoky eye and really made my eyes pop. She listened to what I told her and gave me the look I wanted. She spent a good amount of time on my makeup and really made sure it looked good. It’s nice. some people would just do a half-assed application but not her . 5 stars for the lady who did my makeup, 3 stars for the makeup = 4 star rating
