I love having a reason to come out to the Marina for anything. The area is cool and there’s always new places popping up that I wouldn’t be able to keep track of or know whether or not I’ve been there or not. And so Brick Yard’s addition helps me know to come by whenever I want to catch up on some games with a nice brewsky and a bite.
The drinks were good, especially the root beer flavored liquor, which I’ve unfortunately forgotten the name of by this time, but it makes me not want to drink Jaeger now. From the bar, my favorite was the misfits which had gin and a bit of sweet and sour and mint, kind of like a mojito. And the bottle opener gifts and galore… awesome.
The bites were good too. I got to try some of the ribs which were perfectly tangy and sweet over a crisp on the meat.

Wow — what a great venue! This is definitely the nicest sports bar I’ve ever been to, but can easily rival any lounge or club. Food and drinks were definitely flowing at this event, and I finally got the Sailor Jerry mug I’ve been longing for since the Jorts Jam event in Palo Alto! The staff at The Brick Yard was very friendly — from the bartenders, servers, bus boys, owners/​managers. This is definitely an establishment that prides itself on being attentive and providing great food/​service. The dishes were only supposed to be small bites, but the staff kept it going with the delicious ribs! Everyone was definitely rocking their giants attire (I finally learned at the event what a Rally Cap actually is – I’m not the biggest baseball fan =X) and congratulations to those who won the outfit contest! Event was rather intimate, you never really had to fight for a seat, food, or the bartender’s attention. Extra points for having water easily accessible!
Overall great night and my plus one (who never drinks during the day), definitely enjoyed himself and his drinks. I wound up at home with a pretty good buzz going and ended up going to Wendy’s to sober up! Note to self: eat more before going to YEE. Thanks for the hospitality Ruggy, Jessica and the staff of the Brick Yard!

I’m so glad I was able to get into this SF YEE! This has been one of my favorite SF YEEs this year! All evening I just sat and talked to new Unilocalers, while the food kept coming! It was the best night ever! :)

Whoa this has been the best SF Unilocal Event, yet! Oh man, this was such an awesome event! Ruggy, Jessica, and Brickyard, thanks so much for hooking us up! Furthermore, Brickyard has a really nice interior, you get a view of their version of the GG Bridge and then out community table was always taken care of. The staff was SUPER attentive to everyone at the event.
Food was plenty at this event. Lettuce Cups, Shrimp Ceviche, and OMG those Sweet and Sour Ribs!!! Everything was soo delicious, I couldn’t even stop myself from wanting more.
\(^,^)-b Brick yard is a very noteworthy location to come back again. The coupon isn’t really needed for me to come back here again. I had an excellent experience.

The space was great and surprisingly roomy, staff were exceptional, the Misfit cocktail was so very good, ribs were amazing and a plenty, and the vibe was nice and mellow.

Outstanding !!! I was Jazzed when I found out I got into this Event. I rolled to SF in my Weekend Whip. I was bumping 94.9. I was able to find parking a block away. I street hiked to the Brick Yard .
I was Greeted by the very lovely Jessica T. She gave me an expert overview of the event and checked me in. I entered the Brick Yard and was impressed with the Lovely Hardwood Bar and all the Flat screen TVs
I engaged in a Conversation with the Sailor Jerry Spoke Models. They were very Sweet and Informative about Sailor Jerry’s Rum and the Root Beer Liquor.
The Brick Yard rolled out the Red Carpet for us Elites. Ruggy has some of the Best Elite Parties in the Bay. They served us Chicken Lettuce Cups, Shrimp Ceviche and Oatmeal Crusted Ribs in a Spicy Jalapeño and Balsamic Glaze. The Ribs were the Superstars of the Meal They were so Tender they were falling off the Bone Yummy.
The Drinks were very tasty too, Perfect Storm, Misfit, and 2 others I don’t recall LOL.

2011 Year Of The Rabbit, Total Global Bunny Domination.

This event took me by surprise. Why? I was a last minute +1 and showed up without knowing it was a giants rally. This means that my world series jersey and cap sat at home, alone, and unused.
Despite the fact that there wasn’t a spec of orange on me I had a wonderful time. Ruggy and Jessica were a awesome hosts and the service was amazing. Food kept coming out and the drinks courtesy of the Brick Yard and Sailor Jerry were top notch.
The ribs were amazing and falling off the bone. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. The chicken yogurt lettuce wraps were tasty albeit slightly heavy on the onion and could have use a hint of fresh herbs like dill, mint, lovage or something to make it pop. (Lovage would be my first choice). The best part is these were all gluten free as far as I could tell (there might have been a bit of soy sauce in the sauce reduction for the ribs but I didn’t have a reaction to them as my allergy isn’t as sensitive as some… I would definitely eat them again).
The perfect storm, a play on the dark and stormy and the fizz drink they made with st. germaine were top on my list. The bartenders and servers were fantastic.
It was good hanging out with my old school Unilocaler friends and meeting some new ones.

This was one of the best Unilocal Elite Events I’ve attended, so a big «thanks» to Ruggy, Jessica, and The Brick Yard for putting on such a great event!
The food was excellent and they just kept bringing around samples for us to try! I don’t know which was my favorite because they were all so good. The pork ribs had some type of crunchy coating (corn flakes?) and a sweet BBQ sauce that was just heavenly and the meat melted off the bone. The chicken lettuce cups were a nice twist on what you usually get. The chicken was in a yogurt-​y sauce with some almonds and was nice and light.
As far as drinks go, they had 3 made with Sailor Jerry Rum, but I decided to go with the one made with Hendrick’s Gin. They didn’t skimp on the gin because just two of these and I was a little hungover on Thursday! We also got to sample a new liqueur called Root, which tasted a little like root beer (fancy that!).
I also have to give a shout out to the servers. I was sitting at a tall long table of about 15 people and they were so friendly to everyone. They came around often to make sure that everyone received multiple tastes of the apps *and* they took our drink orders so we didn’t have to stand in line. So cool.
Great event and I can’t wait to go back to The Brick Yard!

Well, this was fun. Oh yeah, RIL fun. I had some delicious eats, made new Unilocaly friends, and oh yeah, a little something called the PERFECT STORM. Oh yes, this was perfect. I mean, it’s served in a cute lil tin cup and goody-​goody, we got to keep them! whee! (The ROOT is also where it’s at… must find some to buy!!)
I politely declined the ribs the first time around, impossibly messy, right? Right. However, everyone kept chowing down on them like nobody’s biz, so I finally caved and tried one with a fork and knife action. «Would you like another?» Oh, why yes thank you.
As everyone has stated, the service here was amazing. The overall vibe was really conducive to mingling and mixing which I really appreciate.

Alas, this was my last Unilocal SF Elite Event for awhile… or at least until I come back to visit.
I’m glad that Ruggy allowed me to grace him with my presence, although I’m saddened that I didn’t get to say goodbye to many of my favorite Unilocalers. But change is good, and the tide truly is turning.
On to the actual event…
I had come to this location many years ago when it was a dingy sports bar filled with the worst of the Marina. I felt like I was in college again, getting groped by some guy who seemed okay in my drunken stupor but would have been far below my league sober (sorry, it’s true).
Now…the joint is really classed up. You can watch sports, but in a brick-​walled, wood furniture heavy atmosphere. It’s well laid out and has a great communal table in the middle. Big bonus for the Golden Gate Bridge in the back that one could stand on. I know, because I tried it.
I didn’t try the ceviche because death does not become me, but the ribs were to die for. As Theron mentioned, the chicken lettuce wraps were extremely raw onion-​heavy and therefore unedible to me. I had to give up after awhile. I realize many people like onions… but there probably could have been more creative flavors to add.
Sailor Jerry provided some delicious rum to add to my Gigante and Boss (I think that’s what I had) and also some amazing swag. Dog tags with a bottle opener and a tin cup for my drinkies? Thank you, I WILL take those with me to Washington, DC.
It was a bittersweet night for me, but I’m glad I came.
I strongly recommend coming to the Brick Yard in the future– it’s a beautiful spot great for hanging out with friends or spending time with the special Ruggy in your life.

FREAKIN AMAZING.
Servers: They were so friendly and fulfilled any request. They kept coming around to our table giving us food almost every minute! I always saw them walking around with a smile.
Ribs: Like everyone else says, «finger lickin good!» I think I literally had 6 ribs since the generous waiters kept piling them onto my plate! I loved the burst of honey and garlic flavors and it was beautifully lightly fried to perfection.
Shrimp Ceviche: So refreshing! My +1 was my best friend and she was double fisting these things. She was so obsessed and I could understand why!
I had the Mistfit drink just because it’s very difficult for me to drink sailor jerry’s (had a bad encounter with that on my birthday). It basically had gin, lime juice, and mint. I actually preferred it without the mint even though the mint balanced out the drink. I also tried a sip of The Boss which basically tasted like a long island ice tea to me.
The Golden gate bridge in the background was so pretty and thought it was very creative of you guys to put those cute Unilocal pins spaced out on it. The stainless steel mugs was the coolest memory for this event ever!

Bomb ass ribs and cerviche on chips, and delicious dranks (Had The Boss and The Gigante). Definitely will have to come out here again if I’m out on Union.

The drinks were well done by the barkeeps and tasted great. I had a rum cocktail, and a gin, and another rum just to be sure!

My first Unilocal Elite Event ever! It was a great experience and here is why:
1. The food was delicious – the ribs, chicken lettuce wraps, and shrimp ceviche were all amazing and there was plenty of it! I heard from other more experienced Unilocalers that at some of the events they are so big that you sometimes don’t get to try everything but the food kept coming! Perhaps this was a bad thing to experience for my first event since now I’m going to wish every event made me walk away stuffed with delicious food.
2. The Giants-​themed drinks from Sailor Jerry and Hendricks were delicious! i had the Gigantes and it was slightly lethal but in the best possible way. The bartenders and Sailor Jerry girls were really sweet too! We scored some free t shirts and other goodies.
3. The service was excellent. I really wanted another lettuce cup and within 5 seconds of me proclaiming «Oh man i realllly want a lettuce cup!» I turned around and standing next to me was a sweet waitress with a tray of lettuce cups. She said to me: «I heard someone needed a lettuce cup” – She must have super power hearing – or perhaps my strong Sailor Jerry drinks were making me talk louder than I thought…
4. I finally got to meet Ruggy!
5. If it weren’t for this event I probably would never have ever gone to the Brick Yard, but after this experience (and the 15% off coupon we got haha) I can definitely see myself coming back!

Thanks to Kingpin X. (and Mrs. Kingpin X.), our rally caps rallied Ruggy to regale us with righteous rewards. We won a Sailor Jerry duffel stuffed to the gills with goodies, including that tall ship shirt I’d been coveting.
I really liked the atomosphere of Brick Yard. It’s a sports bar, yes, but classy and upscale. The bartenders were attentive and really friendly, and they made excellent drinks. I stuck to the Dark Stormy, which was pleasantly grog-​like.
I didn’t see any vegetarian food items, but the meaty ones looked well-​presented and people seemed to like them. I’m not often in the Marina, but that 15% off coupon may be just the ticket to bring me back to the Yard.

I had already known Brick Yard was a pretty amazing spot, so naturally this was a pretty amazing Elite event.
Even though I had been to Brick Yard a couple times in the past I had never tried the food until this event. I was missing out! Everything I tasted was fantastic! I loved the cerviche chips & the lettuce wraps, but my favorite thing I tried had to be those ribs! I don’t know what Brick Yard does to make them crispy on the outside, but I love them for it and when I come back I will definitely get them again!
The cocktails (and glasses they were served in) from Sailor Jerry were delicious (well, the one I tried was). It was called «The Bomb» and it was indeed da bomb (HEY-​OOOO).
The staff at Brick Yard was very accommodating & friendly. This event was so great it ALMOST made me wanna root for the Giants ;) (I’m from Phx so I’m a D-​Backs fan).

My first Unilocal Elite event! The drinks were amazing (thanks Sailor Jerry!), the vibe was chill, and the food was just right (not too heavy, not too light).
Can’t wait to attend more! Thanks Joshua Lim for letting me be your +1!

Where to begin? Um… so my dad had been hearing me talk about Unilocal events and he asked, «When am I going to get to go to one?» He is sort of a hipster, so I had to find the appropriate event for him so he could be in his hip element. He loves baseball (though the Giants come in #2 to the Red Sox), so I thought he’d like this.
We loved the drink called «The Misfit» which was basically a mojito with gin. I hate gin, but the drink was bomb! Another drink was named after my friend Cody Ross «The Boss.» I liked the Giants theme, obviously, because it’s my favorite theme for showing my hometown pride.
The food was delicious. We had chicken lettuce cups that were the right amount of sweet, crunchy, and fresh. The ribs, were SO GOOD. My dad described them as «buffalo wings but ribs.» The pork was very tender. The shrimp cerviche was bomb too, and I don’t think it was raw. It had avocado and was placed on a crunchy chip. The waitstaff was super sweet, both the bartenders and the servers. They really took care of us!
Sailor Jerry was there and handed out really nice shirts and samples of rum. Lot of the speciality Giants cocktails also had Sailor Jerry in them.
Thanks to my dad’s stylish «retro» Giants Hawaiian shirt from the year the ballpark opened, we won one of the costume awards. I told him he should wear a hat too that I’d brought for him, and he didn’t want to, so I suppose that he truly won on his own merit. Props, dad! We came home with some excellent Sailor Jerry goodies and a gift certificate to go back to the Brick Yard, which will be a breeze because it was delicious and fun. Seriously, thank you to Ruggy and Jessica for making my dad’s Unilocal event a very memorable experience. He was thrilled and so was I! Thanks!!!
Another crazy thing, was another Unilocaler I met tonight happened to grow up literally a block from me in SF. SMALL WORLD!

At some point while shopping for Giants merch for this event I managed to get my hands on an SF Giants snuggie. It was too late for the snuggie crawl, but damned if I wasn’t going to rock that shit.
Brick Yard itself was incredible. The atmosphere was chill, yet fun and the lighting good, but not dim. However I think the most stand out point was the service, which was possibly the best I’ve seen at any event.
The waiters were wonderful and the bartender remembered how I took my Unilocal selected drink. They were tops. There was also enough seating for everyone (comfortable seating at that), the food was fabulous and lasted right up until the end.
It was great to meet some new Unilocalers, reconnect with old Unilocalers and see another off on her last SF event.
