Liquid Experience is a clean and well organized store. everything i saw was priced. didn”t look at everything. some high end micros present, 10+
wines, eats, sodas, teas plentiful too.
brew: red hook, «audible ale: (1.99), 12 oz. tax included.
–smooth 4.7%, slightly bland, no hoppiness (bitterness).

This is the best liquor store in San Francisco. The reason is because they have more fine tequilas in house than anyone else in town. These guys REALLY know what’s up when it comes to tequila. I’ve been coming here for 5+ years getting suggestions for gifts and myself and I always walk away with dynamite in a bottle.
MAD respect to these gentlemen. They do it up right. When you need REAL tequila, this is your place.

A surprisingly great liquor store in the heart of the Haight. They have a surprisingly varied selection of chilled large format craft beers. I was surprised at some of the ciders they offered. The selection of liquors is more than your typical corner store’s offerings, as well
It does get pricy, but considering that it may be your only option in the area and they’re open late, it might be worth it. Not much else to say, other than that it’s my top choice in the neighborhood.

Honestly, the name sounds a little like a cheesy adult film title, but it’s a great store. First, the owner is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Second, the scope and quality of their selection is fantastic.
This is not your average corner liquor store. I know, I know. It’s right on Haight… in the middle of tourist town. Trust me: it’s one of my favorite liquor stores.
This is how I knew it was a great place: Spanish marinated cherries; grapefruit bitters; elderflower liqueur. They’ve got the details down because they’ve got the big picture items down. Since I’m a gin girl, I’ve taken particular note of their gin selection and I’m extremely happy.
In all honesty, I haven’t done a ton of price comparison between them and other places, but since I live in the neighborhood, it’s my go to spot for quality liquor or accoutrement.

The hubby likes buying beers here occasionally but it’s fairly pricey. Although if you’re willing to spend the money, you can find a lot of stuff here when you’re in a pinch.
Kudos for having a ton, no seriously, A TON, of tequilas.

The best neighborhood corner store in the Haight. Ferris, Ramsey, and Dreezy are some of the coolest folks on the block, and they’ve been holding it down for years.
If you go in, tell ‘em E.B. said wassup! (Don’t expect them to hook you up because of me though. They’re just my homies. Lol)

This is a great neighborhood liquor store. The prices are a little more than you might pay at a grocery store, but that is the nature of a liquor store. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, even when big events are happening in the Haight and they may be annoyed or burnt out. They have a great selection of beers and ciders, and carry many different kinds of alcohol.
If you are looking for a liquor store in the Haight, this is the one. Right next to Haight and Clayton, it is located fairly central to everything, has reasonable prices for a liquor store, and has the best staff of any I have been in in the area…

Really nice and friendly employees. But you def pay a price. A good 20% more expensive than the spot on Haight and Central. Oh well, this place is closer to my house and I like friendly ;)

Great selection, but for a price. Came here for New Belgium’s Tart Lychee release awhile back, but sadly everyone else beat me to it. Apparently, following them on twitter is key to snagging such highly coveted releases. I can’t say I can afford to be a regular here, but It’s nice to know I have a place nearby where my inner beer-​snob can roam free.

Vashon, WA
Carries an increasingly good variety of ciders, both domestic and English, including Tieton, Westons Vintage, Hogans Perry and Ross on Wye traditional farmhouse still cider. Will hopefully carry Sutton Cellars’ Sonoma Cider soon.
Also has a full range of Fentiman’s natural brewed sodas and many hard to find European ales and lagers.

AGAIN THEY PROVED ME WRONG! I came in here looking for the PURPLE haze!!! Abita… its and amazing beer. You guys need to check out their beer selection. For living in the area, its great to see your corner liquor store that has a great selection. Continue to Rock on!!!

I’d recently tried Don Fulano tequila at Tres Agaves. I asked where I could buy it and the bartender pointed me to Liquid Experience. A couple of days later I walked in to buy a bottle. I chatted with the guy behind the counter and he got down the bottle and sold it to me. I assumed I was getting a reasonably competitive price. He rang it up for an even $ 90. When I got home and went on the web to check prices. Sure enough, K&L had it for $ 59. Ouch! A full 50% higher. Shame on me for not checking but shame on them for those prices.
So, if you want to find an obscure tequila, this is your place. If you want to pay through the nose, this is your place.

Every couple of years for the past twenty five years or so I go in here and they always have what I want and more. If I am a few cents short they don’t make a big deal out of it-​cool people.

Believe it or not, an outstanding wine selection. You can get excellent california wines for a very decent price, just look on the lower shelves. The stock is continually rotating though, so I often find a bottle I love, go back, and it is gone.
And they’re open late past 10!

When I 1st moved here from Austin, TX back in 2000, I was looking for Shiner Bock beer (It was my grown up version of Dr. Pepper) like crazy in SF… it took me about 6 months to find it. And where did I find, right down the street from me. where I had the ultimate Liquid Experience. You guys saved me. and all my boozer friends visiting from Austin!

Plus the lady was super friendly. Never has any employee at a «liquor store» ever been friendly. Never.

Super good beer selection! Can’t speak on behalf of the liquor/​wine selection because I’m always just in here picking up 6 packs, but it looks extensive.
Once they gave me a free lighter because they couldn’t find the matches, so that was cool. thanks!

While they do seem to have a good selection of various liquors, my cheap ass can’t help but notice that I can get things for less elsewhere.
My Moskovskaya vodka, which one of the guys here told me is «the original Stoli», costs $ 20 at Liquid Experience. Wanna know how much I usually pay for it? $ 7.99 at Trader Joes. Boo ya!
They do earn some points for carrying the new «legal» Absinthes (and they’re actually in stock, as of yesterday, not sold out like all the other stores), but again, the price seems a bit higher than at BevMo. When I say «a bit», I mean about $ 25.
Three stars for convenience, selection, and nice employees.
