Seriously a God send! Love Lisa — she is so sweet, has a great memory and knows my hair. Nothing better than that right? I totally trust her and she always does a great job. Always good vibes too, never rushed which is great in today’s busy world.

Lisa Weaver is a great hair stylist – and that is where she should focus on professionally. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her at a Crunch function. She is just another of an endless line of people who want to be trainers. Her degree is in psych-which has very little to do with Exercise Physiology. She knows very little, if anything about how to train clients. I’ve been an athletic trainer for 24 years, and have worked with the elite in professional sports to the elite in motion pictures, etc. I have never done anything else, and all I want is for people to know that there are some very poorly educated impostors trying to pose as athletic or personal trainers. She looks good, she works hard, but knows very little about what it takes to become successful in this industry. I just wish these phonies to stick with what they learned in school and allow those of us, and there are few of us, to bring proper training protocols to the people who really need it. Training is not to be misconstrued as partying or friendships because that is not what it is – it is the trainers job to teach clients how to exercise properly based on their needs first, and on their desires second. So as I tell all my clients«caveat emptor» or buyer beware. Especially beware of trainers who hold no degrees in exercise physiology, and/or kinesiology and try to pass themselves off as $ 185/hr elite trainers. There is no room for neophytes like Lisa Weaver in this industry – better off for her to stick with what she knows – hair dressing. Thanks to all of you who have a mind of their own and dig a bit deeper when searching for a personal trainer! Remember Caveat Emptor!

Because I am extremely particular and have naturally curly hair, I used to fly to Southern California to get my hair cut and colored. I found Lisa through a friend whose hair looked beautiful! The highlights were natural and perfect and the cut was great! I have been seeing Lisa for 6 or 7 years now and have been consistently happy. Her prices are fair and she really cares about making her clients happy with their hair. Plus, I really enjoy her as a person and when you spend 3 hours with someone while they do your hair it is critical that they be interesting and fun to speak with.

I really don’t want to write this review because to be honest, I WANTTOKEEPLISAALLTOMYSELF! :) I’ve seen Lisa 6+ years now and let me tell you, she’s worked some magic into this coif of mine! I have thick and slightly wavy hair which has been long, short and in between lengths over the years and regardless of that, each cut she has given me has always suited me nicely. Lisa’s also got a good eye for color and has always helped me find the best shades to go with my cuts. When I went for a dramatically darker color this past winter, she helped me find a color and shade that had depth and warmth, deftly avoiding the Hot Topic Over the Counter Goth look. Good looking out, Lisa — I don’t think my office would have wanted me looking like Elvira for the Christmas holiday! I also wanted to mention that I’m little of a Nervous Nellie when it comes to salons and beauty treatments but Lisa’s just the nicest and listens intently to any concerns or ideas that you may have. Thanks for all the awesome cuts and service, Lisa!

Lisa is not only a great hairdresser but also just a really warm and nice person! She always welcomes me with a hug and a smile :) Just a few reasons why Lisa rocks and why I’ve gone to her for 6+ years: 1) When you say you only want 2 inches cut off; she only cuts off 2 inches — not 3 or 4 like some hairdressers will take it upon themselves to do. She listens and does what you ask. 2) She’s also really great at working with you when you aren’t 100% sure what you want done. I’ll walk in with a rough idea and Lisa will perfect it! 3) My boyfriend always jokes how cab drivers and hairdressers are the best therapists and I have to say in Lisa’s case it’s totally true! She is a great conversationalist and a wonderful listener. I always enjoy our talks :) 4) Omg, best shampoo/conditioner head massage ever! 5) I’ve never walked out disappointed. Lisa does a beautiful job! She’s a fantastic artist!

I’ve been going to Lisa for my hair for the past six years and she’s truly the best! I’m naturally a dark blonde but thanks to Lisa I’m a very convincing redhead. No one believes that I’m ‘originally’ a blonde! Lisa is a true professional and I completely trust that when I go see her I’ll leave the salon feeling shiny and new, and totally happy with my hair. She is so skilled with my color that I get tons of compliments on my hair. She’s so great with my hair in fact that I had her do my hair for my wedding last year(and my bridesmaids too!). She’s just terrific, and I consider myself very lucky to be her client. You couldn’t find a better hairstylist!

Lisa Weaver is one of the best-kept beauty secret in San Francisco. I have been going to her religiously for the past seven years. At first, I went to her for highlights and a cut. I remember the first time I came home after getting my hair styled by her and my husband said I looked 5 years younger! SCORE! I was always impressed at my next appointment in how she would remember my exact color, likes and dislikes. She always put up with my quirky pickiness and indecisiveness by being patient with me. As I got older, my beauty needs changed. I desperately needed to hide those ugly old gray hairs. Lisa always did a great dye job, but I felt guilty about dying my hair, because of the chemicals. I have heard a few things about how hair dye contains ingredients that could possibly cause cancer. Lisa decided to try a new hair color line called Organic. It was absolutely amazing. No ammonia smells, no burning, no harsh chemicals and no guilt! On top of all that, my hair looked great! If you are looking for a good experience at the salon, I strongly recommend her. You won’t regret it! You can find Lisa at Firehorse on Haight Street in San Francisco. Her number is 415. 305.9532
