Lost Ladle Cafe

I’ve been blaming Terzetto in Mission Bay for serving bad salads. It’s true they sell them but I just realized today they are MADE at the Lost Ladle Café.
Today was my third attempt at trying to eat healthy on campus by purchasing a salad from Terzetto. I tried the Mixed Greens with Roasted Chicken salad. SO disappointing.
It’s SALAD. It’s NOT HARD. And yet, a good percentage of the greens were slightly yellow and the dressing was/​is/​continues to be ATROCIOUS.
I wont be getting another salad from Terzetto/​Lost Ladle until they use a different café or Lost Ladle Café makes some MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS in their dressing recipes and is a tad more selective in terms of what’s supposed to be greens (not yellows) going into the salad mix.

Hey San Francisco! People are doing life science research here in Mission Bay. You know, looking at possible cures for cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, etc… Just because we’re geeks and nerds shouldn’t mean we have to suffer with bad food!

It’s so nice to have a little café in the building that you work in, especially on rainy days! The food is from area vendors, mostly healthy and organic. They offer some sushi, breakfast burritos with vegetarian sausage, and some basic sandwiches. There is usually a daily soup and entrée special as well. Anne runs the show, and she is super friendly and efficient. I think a lot of people in our building go get a coffee so they can talk to her when they having a bad day.

This place is on the ground floor of the office building where I work and for convenience I pick up a meal there several times a week.
5 stars for service! Dee never ceases to perk up even the most stressful day at work. She’s smart, friendly and can be counted on for a smile and a «have a lovely day!’ in a faux British accent.
3.5 stars for food. Salads and panini’s are pretty tasty (but be sure to check the date on them). The yellow split pea soup is a favorite. And if you get the mini ham and cheese be sure to have Dee grill it for you cuz the rustic roll will hurt your jaw otherwise.
