Amazing! I tried the pumpkin ravioli with the white sauce. I wish I would have found this place sooner! Great kept SF secret! Make sure to go early in the day as they close early.

I love stopping by for fresh pasta. They also have a great selection of high quality dried goods, such a olive oil, dried pasta, etc. They have a lot of different cured meats(salami, proscuitto, etc) and italian cheeses. The prices are a little cheaper than gourmet groceries such as whole foods and bi-rite.

I love the ravioli from here! It’s not cheap, but it’s sooooooo good! Fresh made daily and can last for up to 2 days in the fridge — any longer than 2 days and you should freeze it. Also, because it’s fresh, you want to make sure to keep it flat! The meat sauce is also really good. I also like that they have a large selection of deli meats and they carry dutch crunch bread. One big plus is that they have a parking lot just a few doors down so that you don’t have to hunt for parking!

Am I in SF or Italian heaven??? Great selection of Italian wines(half the store is wine), legit olive oil, fresh pasta, cheese, and dry meats. It’s one of those stores where you never know what treasure(s) you’ll find. Plus, everyone here is chill and helpful. Not too busy either so you can take your time browsing or just get in and out super fast. Can’t wait to go back!

I came in to pick up cheese ravioli and pesto sauce that my boyfriend raves about for dinner. I must say I had a very pleasant experience. Upon walking in you take a number, my number was called immediately probably because they weren’t very busy at the time. The gentleman at the counter who assisted me was very friendly and when I had asked about the heating instructions for the foccacia he had a few nice suggestions. I will definitely be back for the pumpkin ravioli soon. It really did feel like I had walked into Italy.

Great place, nice meats, sauces, etc. but expensive. You can tell all the men all work on some type of commission. No women working there! All the guys in the back of the counter are nice enough, but just want to ring up the sale. Not impressed.

Pro tip: get a sandwich at the counter. Let them design it for you. Freaking delish and cheap and big. Love this place!

Genial! Encontramos algunos productos que estábamos buscando, por ejemplo yerba. El local es chico, es bueno ir con una idea de lo que se va a comprar, para no estar parado molestando entre las góndolas apretadas. Pero vale la pena.

I Love this place. Such great fresh food and the selection is absolutely amazing. I look forward to my visits into the city even more, just to stock up on the great foods that they have to offer. The sauces and Raviolis are amazing. Cheese selections fabulous. Meats, Italian imports so much to choose from. Getting hungry just writing this. Maunga-Maunga! Ciao

Selection and delicious Italian foodstuffs that is otherwise have to travel to North Beach or Italy for! Everyone is so nice here, just be sure to take a number as you walk in the door even if you’re not buying things from the cold case… and listen for your number being called. :)(from experience, they may skip you if you’re not paying attention or are too quiet) Note they are really nice even if you order just a few slices to a quarter pound, etc — but of course how can you just eat a couple of slices?! This is my spot for — fig jam — packaged or fresh pastas(although everyone seems to be buying their ravioli – fresh is behind the counter) — mixed olives — hot salame(esp. the Calabrese super spicy but perfect for me kind) — olive oils(TJs is good but these are great, just ask for their advice depending on what you’re using it for) — fresh pesto — cheeses! try the marscapone for tiramisu or the provolone for lasagna, you can’t go too wrong

WHYCAN’T THISPLACEBEOPENMORE! Monday through Saturday from 9am — 6pm. It makes it impossible to buy ingredients to make a weeknight pizza. But the only reason I’m complaining is because I want to go here all the time… Me and the boyfriend always get pizza supplies from here — dough, pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, salami, and prosciutto. All super fresh and homemade. If we’re looking to splurge, we’ll buy some burrata as well. In my(amateur but frequent) pizza making(fine… more like assembling) experience, I’ve noticed that quality ingredients make a huge difference. Sure, I end up spending around $ 12 bucks for the ingredients but it’s fun, comforting, and just as good as Delfina! kind of. So make yourself a quality pizza and get ready for some netflix and chill.

Lucca’s is the best! Best bologna and American cheese sando I’ve ever had. The fresh pastas are great and they have a cool wine selection. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Who would’ve thought a bunch of grumpy men would outlast the transitions of the pretentious Mission District. Bravo to them. I feel like every time I’m in here, they want me to hurry up and leave, but not before I get my bologna sandwich, buddy! If you’re lucky enough you may even piss one of these old timers off by coming in at 5:59 on a Saturday for them to slam the door on your face with no soul left in their body. Hey! I don’t blame ya! We still love you though — and the cut-throat gesture you use to prove your point. We get it, you’re closed, but I’ll be back tomorrow!(guns out, big wink) It’s so worth it though. Thanks for keeping it real when everything else around here hasn’t!

If you want something Italian, this is where to go. Actually, if you want anything Italian, this is where to go. Classic & quintessential. Lucca in the mission has been feeding our lucky souls ravioli, & all things Italian, forever & ever. This joint is an institution & you know it as soon as you walk in. Fresh pizza dough? It’s here. Homemade pasta sauce? Got it. Fresh ravioli or cheese tortellini? Check & check. Hungry? You can order a sandwich. Bottle of Fernet? Which variety? Of course, they’re here. Basically, Lucca is just for all things Italian. And the service rocks too. My last visit, I came in for the pizza dough. I felt it was time to stop doing that Boboli crap & graduate to the real deal. Unless you make it yourself from scratch, this is the best. And at just $ 3 bucks, it’s cheaper than Boboli. All that homemade love & affordable too?! Done & done. Check out the ceiling. It’s Italy. Old school & family. 5 stars.

Gosh, my husband & I LOVE this place! They have a massive selection of meats, canned sardines, cheeses & pasta! What’s not to love!!! This is a great place to go if you want to pick up a quick fresh or dry pasta for dinner, or to picck a personalized charcuterie platter. We loved their ham, smoked prosciutto, & wine salami. They have a large variety of food items imported from Italy, & a little wine isle. Be prepared to wait a little bit if you’re ordering from the deli but it will be worth it!

$ 8 for a meaty tasty sandwich. Yum! The staffs were super friendly. They carry all type of pasta, not to mention the freshly made ravioli and meat sauce. Free parking lot in the heart of Mission. Definitely a plus.

Why go anywhere else when you can get home-made(and fresh) pasta, sauces, bread, meats and cheese all in one place. Staff are always in great attitude and ready to help. Sandwich — basically build your own by choosing your own deli meats, cheese, and other ingredients. Delicious and fairly priced(around $ 7 with 3 deli meats, cheese and pesto sauce) Love that they still use a classic cash register.

Spend $ 100+ on a prix fixe NYE dinner? Feel like cooking despite a heinous cold? Go to Lucca’s and get Spinach Ravioli, Turkey Meatballs, Marinara Sauce and Pesto for $ 30? Come to terms with being an Old Married Lady? Thanks Lucca’s! Happy 2015!

This place is awesome. The guys who work here are nice, and helpful. It’s insanity every time I go though… so definitely try to avoid the typical shopping hours. We get their pizza kit(dough, cheese, sauce) and then bake at home. It’s great, but might be a little pricey(comes in around $ 12 for a 14 inch deep dish).
