It started as a friendly lunch place on campus for students but they’re too much with all this price raising! They charge too much for low quality Costco food.

The Lunch Box is your typical on campus food stand that is conveniently located so that when you’re walking from one class to another you can grab something to eat. Pretty good to go for breakfast and grab an egg and cheese croissant or a cup of coffee. They also have hot Chinese food selections such as egg rolls, eggplant tofu, orange chicken, etc. Not the best Chinese food but it will satisfy your Chinese food craving while at school. They also have small snacks such as yogurt, chips, granola bars, chips, etc. If you’re hungry and on campus, The Lunch Box will get you through your school day.

I go to City College and let me just say I’ve never really complained about the Lunch Box until TODAY. I bought a small soy hot chocolate this morning 10÷27÷14. I was enjoying the first two sips until I took about my 3rd or 4th sip I felt something in my mouth. I assumed it was maybe a wrapper of the soy milk that had fell into my cop. I pulled whatever was on my tongue and it was a fucking mosquito, I freaked out and flicked it off my finger, I regret doing that and should’ve taken a picture because it was just ridiculous! As I kept moving my tongue I pulled the last thing of it and it was a wing. I am NEVER going to buy anything from here again unless it is sealed and packaged. Please if you work for the Lunch Box be well aware what the hell is in your cups before you serve us students.

convenient place to grab food between classes with great portions for a decent price. I got the Chinese lunch box special for 7.95 and the man who served me was very friendly. However, I’m giving this place 3 stars because the teriyaki chicken I ordered was super salty that I couldn’t even eat half my order:/ nothing really special about the chow mien either … Overall, this place is alright. Not my to go place for Chinese food

I have been here before Last time I came here classes had just started so it was pretty empty and I think I got a sandwhich and a mango dessert and a drink it was just okay Today there were about ten customers or more Today I went and got the tofu rice and brocilli Chinese food The tofu was great tons of flavor and soft and moist and really delightful The rice was kinda dry and the brocilli was really bland It came to almost ten dollars for that so that is another reason I don’t really like it too much They do have a good selection of food and they are super fast on a positive note I don’t like this place too much I would only come back here if I was really hungry and the other places on campus that sells food are closed or just because I’m near by and too hungry and lazy to walk to those other places

Always open whenever I’m in the need of something to eat or when I’m feeling thirsty. Most of your staples are here like baked goods, pizza, chicken bakes and, of course the average college student’s first meal, coffee. The location is great as most classes are located within about a block’s distance from this humble eatery and there usually isn’t a line because of all the cashiers around. The food isn’t anything more or less than what you’d expect for the price. Pizza slices for $ 3.25, egg and ham sandwiches for $ 3 and coffee for $ 2 a cup even though they could go higher of they wanted.

I’ve been going to the Lunch Box since last year. The food is great but can be on the pricy side(or in other words you get what you pay for) during peak hours(in between classes) the line for food can get long so I don’t recommend waiting unless you got time to spare. They have sandwiches, hot dogs, crescents, bagels, smoothies, fruit, Chinese takeout, and my favorite the chicken bake, etc. Overall the food is good, just that you could probably get cheaper food if you’re willing to go off campus.

This place is always my go-to place for lunch whenever I’m on campus. They sell a good variety of food from pastries, snakcs, to lunch entres. Food is pretty cheap, so you do get what you pay for. But the only thing I ever get here is their chicken curry! And sometimes their croissant sandwiches. Their chicken curry is suprisingly good and the chicken isnt dry, its actually tender! The old man always gives a generous portion so its definitely worth what I spend. The staff members are pretty nice, so thats a plus. $ 5.00 min if youre paying with a card! Oh and try their hot cocoa, its yummy :)

I go to ccsf and only came here once and did not like it one bit. now lets start shall we! Food: pizza was like eating a greasy cardbox. their was literally grease on the box. sauce was bland and cheese was just plain nasty. this was probably the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Service: cashier was pretty rude and talked way too fast to the point where I couldnt really understand her. she couldn’t understand a request for a smoothie so I just said forget it and stuck with my slice of pizza which I would soon regret. health hazard: right when I was walking out to the left, the back door was open(really bad mistake because of theft) and I noticed 2 mice running inside the kitchen and I think also saw some mushy old black bananas next to the good bananas. Overall I would never come back to this establishment ever again as their is some better and cleaner food and drink options on or around the campus.

Food is pretty cheap but you get what you pay for. A Chai latte I ordered was really watered down, and the breakfast bagel-sandwiches are cheaply made. The one I got today only had half a piece of boiled scrambled egg in it– what a gyp. Don’t get me wrong, though. Food isn’t terrible or anything that has gotten me sick. And it IS right there, smack in the middle of campus. I’ll be back, whether I like it or not.

This place deserves 3 stars. The staff is friendly, but very busy so they try to rush a lot of things. Only accepts cash. Which sucks because the majority of students always use card nowadays. The only things i’d probably buy from here is their drinks and the onion bagel with cream cheese. Their food is okay. Not the best, but there’s always room to improve. You guys can do it!

They don’t take cards, they don’t have an ATM, the lines are long, the food is only ok. They could do a lot better. Some of their items are ridiculously overpriced and lousy. Can we at least have a higher quality for a higher price or crappy quality and low price, you know — -LOGIC? Also the service is annoying. Well one of the girls is extremely flirtatious so its good for me but they are too aggressive and unavailable if you have a question, and why not napkins?

What do they have here. Hmmm. Rice plates, pizza, bread, cup noodles, coffee, hot chocolate, mango pudding, fruit parfait and I’m pretty sure they have sushi. This place is your average priced little eatery. It’s in between the Rosenberg library and the batmale hall. Great for coffee break. The employees are pretty! Yummy hot chocolate!

i always stop by here every time before my 9am class, to either just check in and earn my badges and eventually become mayor. Other times i get my favorite ham/egg/cheese croissant, it is always on point since i dont have the time to make breakfast at home. there are other eatery selections though, maybe i should try those next time. They serve like pizza or something in the morning, dont know about that. The place gets pretty crowded by midday and there would be lines but its no big deal. Bottom Line; i’ll always come back here just to earn my badge or my eventual mayorship(awesome) disregard the hate rates. P.S. Fig Newton

Summer School = 7 weeks of cramin’ = THECAFFEINEGRIND. I never really liked the Lunch box before but seeing how I’m here at 7 freakin’ AM, I need some daily dose of caffeine to keep my alive in my classes. I came here twice within summer semester so far and I find the Egg-ham-cheese-crosandwich not that bad. I’m a sucker for breakfast sandwiches. and it’s pretty cheap($ 3). I also grab a small coffee($ 1.85) but the coffee tastes bland. Even diluting it with sugar doesn’t help. Oh well, I just drink it for the caffeine anyways; taste is secondary. Thank you Lunch Box for keeping my alive in class!

The ham, egg and cheese croissant sandwiches and pizzas taste good. It is also located conveniently right on campus and students come to get some food to eat before heading to the next class. The Lunch Box was one of my favorite lunch spots to get breakfast, lunch and a quick snack between classes. There are other food and beverage items available here, the selection is very good although some selections do run out quick. The prices here are decent so I do see a lot of students getting lunch here and it is designed to fit the needs of people who are on a budget. Sometimes you might see staff and faculty members getting lunch here as well. The customer service here is good, but it can still be better with improvements in certain areas. The only downside is that it’s CASHONLY!

1-star for the customer services. The food here sucks and its overpriced even for a «fast food» place. This place is located within city college so it is very convenient for students like me to grab a quick bite in between class. I have try this place a few times and i didn’t like the food at all. The Chinese food is nasty!!! its like some super dry rice and other side dishes and it is overpriced for some Chinese food… GROSS… Wouldn’t eat here unless i am dying of hunger… Lol

Where to eat at CCSF? Lunch box is the place. Breakfast: i get the croissant with egg and cheese, they have it with ham as well. They will warm it up for you on the spot. They have different pastries as well, some of course you can tell are from Costco. Chai Latte is sweet, you can ask them to adjust how much of the powder that they use to your liking. Lunch: I haven’t eaten there for lunch really, but they have a lot of stuff. Chinese food, fried rice, orange chicken, udon noodes, miso soup, chili, chili cheese hot dog. Fried chicken, pizza. a lot of stuff. The Chili cheese dog is a lot to handle. It’s good, gets a little salty after awhile, well look at what you’re eating. Better have a drink ready. The pizza is decent for what it is($ 3.25). The workers are all nice and very accommodating to your wants. They have a lot more things then I have mentioned. Go check them out if you’re on campus and want something quick, but good.

Why are you SF Stater’s not Unilocaling your own eats? You need to let the outside work know about this place, mainly the um, eclectic menu of terrible looking pizza, chinese food and sandwiches. You also need to let us know that despite the lady running the place saying the veggies are steamed, the puddle of oil at the bottom of the soggy takeout container suggests otherwise. Star saved for the massive $ 2 portion. Washed and made healthy(ier) they will make a fine salad topping and/or burrito filling. Or maybe I’ll do it for you.
