This shop is in my neighborhood but customer service is cheap. I gave a friend a pair of earrings that broke and was charged for repair. I paid the charge but only because I wanted my friend to have them. I’ve had other pieces that broke also. Won’t be going back because of their poor attitude. What goes around comes around.

I bought all of my Christmas gifts here last December and boy was everyone happy with my choices! My mother loved hers, my step mother loved hers, and my sister as well. Extremely well designed, beautiful aesthetics, and top notch customer service and attention to detail by the entire staff, but especially Amanda. Thanks Amanda!

Poor quality jewelry. Atrocious customer service. Rude, abrasive, curt, dismissive and unprofessional staff. Will not stand behind their poorly crafted products. Coating on jewelry chips, discolors, and changes color. Company will not back their products; they are dishonest, deceitful and manipulative. If you make the mistake of buying a product made by this designer from another retailer and something goes wrong with the piece, expect the response: «you’re not my customer I don’t have to help you.» They produce low quality jewelry and leave their customers without recourse when the pieces don’t stand up over time. Do not buy from this designer. There are far better designers with much better manners. Skip this one!

I was provided very friendly service. They even hand crafted what I was looking for on the spot. Amanda, who was extrenely helpful, even gift wrapped what I bought at no extra cost.

Mabel Chong was extremely rude and very unfriendly!!! I asked her questions in regards to her pieces and her answer was«I don’t know.» Well heck, you are the designer and owner! You are completely aware of what your pieces are made of. I will never step foot into her store!

I live in michigan and Just received my necklace and bracelet and love them. Four years ago I stumbled upon her store in SF and fell in love with the delicate, affordable, unique pieces. I bought two pieces for my daughters and one for me.

Great shopping experience. I stumbled upon Mabel Chong’s products while shopping online for a friend’s birthday gift. I was struck by the unique designs, nice components, and affordable price points. Finally got a chance to stop by and shop for a family member. Lovely store with very nice and unique jewelry. I was helped by a lovely and patient lady: who it so happened was Mabel Chong. Picked up a lovely amethyst pendant. I really like the design. If you are out and about on Sacramento street drop by and have a look.

I knew of Mabel Chong from having once lived in San Francisco. I currently live in rural Alaska, and ordered a pair of earrings from Mabel Chong. Not only were the earrings incredibly beautiful, the staff went out of their way to get the delivery to me, in spite of numerous errors from UPS in the delivery process. Wonderful jewelery, and wonderful public relations! Thank you, couldn’t be happier!

The absolute best, I’m a devout follower. All of my jewelry was stolen in a burglary. Thankfully I had insurance and Mabel to save me. Everything new I’ve gotten to replace the old is from her and I love it all. I actually have to stop myself from going in, because I know I will buy. Baby steps. Thank you, Mabel!

My review for Mabel is overdue, I bought two gorgeous necklaces from her in May and I love them. I visited her Laurel Heights shop and after helping me choose some silver necklaces, she adjusted one of my necklaces for me on the spot. Mabel is very friendly and has a great eye for classy design. There were a number of pieces I saw in the shop that I liked but Mabel helped me choose something that fit my style. Mabel, thanks again for supporting Alvarado!

If you like gems in delicate settings, give this boutique a visit. I especially love the selection of dangling earrings. Price ranges start at about $ 48+ and go up to $ 370+ depending on the stones and metals used. I tend to choose jewelry for myself that’s one-of-a-kind, so I may not ever purchase from here although I do appreciate that everything is handcrafted. This would be a perfect spot for wedding party jewelry where you can have uniform pieces or mix and match combinations.

I was sad when the Noe Valley location closed, but Mabel still has delicate and intricate pieces at great prices on Sacto street! I used to buy her jewelry at Billion Dollar Babes events, and have been hooked every since. I always got lots of compliments when I wear her pieces. Great customer service. The Sacto location has lots of great pieces on display. Thanks for existing!

On a lazy Saturday, I found myself walking around Laurel Heights and couldn’t resist popping my head into Mabel Chong. It was one of those double-take moments, when you walk past a shop, glancing at their wares, only to halt yourself after you’ve passed the door, backtrack a few steps so you can scoot inside. I’m a girly-girl. I love flowy dresses and take every sunny day as an opportunity to take my flirty dresses out for a walk. Cosmetics, perfume and scented bath products of every kind are the backbone of my feminine arsenal. Sparkly things speak to me, and jewels of every kind beckon me to gaze upon their beauty. Thus, it’s no wonder Mabel’s jewelry cast it’s spell on me. After looking at every single piece of jewelry in her store, my gaze kept falling back to a beautiful bracelet hanging from one of the display arms. Delicate gold wire-wrapping held together milky celadon stones. strung so two lengths lay side by side, with a beautiful 1 ½″ drop at the back clasp. I had to have it. I carried it around with me in the store for 20 minutes as the woman tending the store spoke with a couple at the counter. Once the couple left, the woman approached me and we struck up a conversation. She introduced her as Mabel. Mabel Chong, the designer. Wistfully, I confided I wished the bracelet could be a convertible piece — both a bracelet and necklace at once. She responded many women had expressed their desire to own that same piece as a necklace. I held on tightly to the bracelet, saying that it would be an amazing piece for a traveling businesswoman if it could be used as both a bracelet and necklace because it would serve as one hallmark piece that could be worn in multiple ways. As fortune would have it, it was a slow Saturday afternoon and she was willing to entertain me. Inspecting the piece thoughtfully, she pulled out her tools and snipped here and there, holding it up to see where she could create a new break, and after 20 minutes — lo and behold, my wistful thought spoken aloud became a tangible piece of jewelry art. I don’t know how she did it, but the bracelet became a wholly different creation — an elegant piece that could become a necklace or revert back to being a bracelet by hooking and unhooking a couple of clasps. Did I really want to share this piece with you? No, not really. I wanted to keep it a secret all to myself because I LOVE the idea of having a signature piece that is unique. But I also love to share =) Thank you, Mabel!

I was looking for jewelry for my wedding and came across the work of Mabel Chong. I went to her shop with my parents and was unsure what I wanted. Mabel was patient and showed me options. I came back again(after hunting around) a month later and Mabel remembered me. I was sure of what I wanted this time and Mabel was ready to make it happen. She has wonderful taste, offers great recommendations, and is able to alter anything on the spot. I purchased a necklace and earrings that were gorgeous. I’m glad I went with Mabel!

Lovely, flirty, fresh, completely unique. I love this woman’s designs. Moreover, Mabel herself is a gem. Everytime my partner goes in her shop, she actually remembers what I was looking at before and gives him hints! Sure some of the prices are high end, but so is the quality.

My daughter & I were waiting for a showtime @ the Vogue Theater and were drawn to Mabel Chong’s wonderful Sacramento Street store. What can I say, the rest is history! After about 20 minutes of power shopping we walked out with two amazing necklaces – a citrine drop for the my daughter and a simple but stunning blue quartz drop for myself. We both loved her simple but eye-catching designs. Her store is a great addition to Sacramento street. Her jewelry collection has something for everyone in every price range.

DON’T BUYFROMHER! SHE’S MONEYGRUBBING! Being a return customer, I decided to by 4 jewelry sets(earrings and necklace) from her website as Baby Shower gifts. When I got the sets, one of them didn’t look anything like the pictures on the website, let alone look like a matching set. I immediately called, and she said no returns! She also said they matched when they are totally different colors! I told her I intended to return them and she said she would actually just mail them back to me! When I asked for an even exchange because I could not give them as a gift, she flatly said no. Not only did I buy from her in the past, but I recommended her as a designer to my friends, and bought her jewelry as very sentimental gifts for my friends and family, only to have her tell me that she thought the set matched, and that she«would wear them together!» She totally insulted me by saying this. One is blue and white, the other green and orange! She should fix the color on her website, or at the least, stand by her products! Do not buy from this woman who might have pretty jewelry, but who cares about money more than her customers.

I have been a huge fan of Mabel for many years — her designs are current and absolutely beautiful. From dainty to chunky she has something for every style. And the quality of the stones she uses is clearly top notch. She has shortened necklaces for me on the spot if they fall a little too low and always has a good eye for what looks best. Her and her staff are so incredibly nice too — they are so customer focused and love their craft! I honestly get soooo many compliments each time I wear one of her pieces… they really stand out. I am thrilled to see she is doing well with multiple locations now open in SF. If you haven’t made your way to one of them — go now! You won’t regret it!

I wandered into her store a few weeks ago, she was there and I had the pleasure of meeting her while browsing the store. Her designs are very current and ‘what’s happening’ now in fashion so that’s cool. I love the fact that she’s onsight and if you want something to be done a little differently she and her staff may be able to make it up if possible. A great find for semi precious stone jewelry and design. I purchased a pair of long dangle earrings almost 4 inches, made of lovely semi precious stones for a hundred plus and she reduced them 10 percent, her designs are beautifully elegant and sexy . And, She’s a doll !

There’s a great sale going on right now, and with it already being so affordable– it’s pretty sweet! Mabel is so helpful when it comes to picking out colours and styles, and I left today with a BEAUTIFUL necklace that I couldn’t be happier with. Happy Birthday to me! Please come check out the location and see what a great selection there is!
