New paint job, new spa chairs keurig coffee and teas new floor love minna nails they always take care of me and do a great Mani Pedi

I had a nice experience, but watched two women wait for over an hour for extra help that did not come. This seems to be an ongoing theme of these reviews. The service was fine when I was receiving my pedicure (but not amazing). Prices were lower than I expected.
Good things: Nice selection. Prioritized me over the walk-​ins because I had called ahead (even though the two walk-​ins were already seated)
Bad: Kept me waiting for a really long time to let my nails dry, seemingly this was an excuse because she was trying to squeeze the other two women in.
In the end: it worked out for me, but I probably wouldn’t go back unless I was in desperate need of a nail treatment close to home.

Did a great job on my manicure & pedicure and the place is very clean and nice. The staff are nice and friendly but also don’t talk to you much, which I prefer, so it was very relaxing. My friend and I were able to chat the whole time and they were nice to talk with when we did chat with the staff. My pedicure looks great! Highly recommend going here! One lady helped me out my sandals on after my pedicure which was very nice. And the owner also said to another customer «if your pedicure gets smudged, please come back and we will fix it for it!» Which I though was very considerate because sometimes things happen! Go to Minna Nails!

Minna Nails is a wonderful place. The employees took great care of me. The prices are fair. Trinh, the owner is very friendly. When I had my legs waxed she took her time to remove ingrown hairs with tweezers. The salon also carries the new Infinite Shine Nail Polish by OPI. This polish is very long lasting and totally worth the $ 5 more. Overall Minna nails is a terrific place to get your nails and waxing done! I have finally found my saloon after 2 years in the city!

The owner is really nice, but I just wish she would stop over promising. I went in for a walk-​in, and ended up having the most rushed experience in my life. I would rather she had told me to come back later or the next day rather than tell me she could take me. I sat down and waited for ³⁰⁄₄₅ min which I was fine with since I walked in. However, I did not appreciate the fact that my mani was over in 15min. Part of the experience of getting your nails done is to relax and enjoy being taken care of, I couldn’t. I was so busy making sure she wouldn’t chip my nails off or stab me with how fast she was working. Forget the full cleaning experience where you dip your nails in a bowl, mine were just lightly scrubbed.
$ 30 for a simple gel manicure (no designs) is not cheap! Especially with no extra pampering associated with it. The description should be updated to $$
The only reason I didn’t give it 1-​star is that my gel manicure didn’t chip, and it did last the three weeks she promised. But I’m not going back, I will keep hunting for a better place while I’m in SF.

Family-​owned business where everyone really takes pride in their work. I’ve been going to Minna Nails for years now, and am always happy with the results. Not a fancy place, but if you want an inexpensive nail and waxing joint, this is it.

I have been coming here for many years. As a small business owner myself I like to support other businesses in the neighborhood. I always ask for Kah (sp.) she does a great job with my mani pedi and her foot massage is really good. I often fall asleep while getting pampered. They have a good selection of nail colors and I think the price is right. My mom lives downtown and comes all the way to Noe Valley to get her mani pedi here too. The owner is very passionate about her small business and very friendly!

Two words: Go elsewhere!
Not sure why this place is still $, they have shot up prices and should be more like $$ (mani pedi’s for $ 30 and an eyebrow + upper lip wax for $ 20). They don’t post their prices; had I known I would be paying spa prices for a dirty hole in the wall experience, I would’ve never stepped in.
I’m usually not picky when it comes to my waxing experience, but this place was blatantly violating the biggest waxing rules — doubled dipped every time, hot plate of wax left uncovered, no gloves, unwashed hands, etc. I couldn’t help but imagine where the wax, tweezers, lady’s hands had gone before it was touching my face. I left with way too much of my eyebrows removed and went straight home to wash my face.
Had it been half the price, I probably wouldn’t have been this disappointed, but for $ 20 + tip? Forget it. Never going back.

Wonderful service at Minna’s Noe Valley! $ 65 for mani/​pedi shellac with removal of previous gel + they include callous treatment for no extra charge. Two ladies worked on me at once, they were very polite and left me to rest in the massage chair while they toiled away on my nails and the end product was real quality work. They really took their time to do a good job. 5 stars!
Plenty of free sreet parking with 2 hour limit M — F 9am — 6pm.

The place is run down and my nails chipped within just a few days. And she really hurt my cuticles when cleaning them to the point that I Unilocaled a few times. Definitely don’t recommend

I just got a mani/​pedi year and it was a great and relaxing experience. I moved to the neighborhood around 6 months ago, and this is now my go-​to nail salon. As soon as I walked in, the owner and other ladies there said hi and were very welcoming. They took their time and did a precise job on my nails. I never felt rushed to get out of there, and the owner made sure I was happy with the service and said she hoped I’d be back before I left. Big selection of colors, good prices, and great service!

When I first walked in I was skeptical of the place but it had such a homey feel I felt immediately reassured. The women here are extremely nice and the best part was that they spent a lot of time on my nails. I did not feel as though they were rushing through my pedicure even though all the seats were filled. They did an immaculate job! I am very happy and satisfied with their work.

Definitely one of my least favorite nail salons I have been to since I’ve started getting my nails done professionally.
The salon is actually quite quaint and homey, with a wide selection of nail colors lining the walls, of which contain very recently collections from brands like Essie and OPI. Note the essie spring collection, ooh la la!
That being said, however, the store is small, with around 5 – 6 spa chairs, so I waited there for a solid half an hour before I was seated to get my mani-​pedi. The owner of the store, who, when you walk into the store, will identify herself, emphasized over and over again that they would be ready for me in a couple of minutes, three to be exact. However, that clearly was not the case. They sat me down in a normal chair to get my manicure started (already unhappy about this), but then casually forgot that I was also getting a pedicure. Great. They finally moved me, but long story short, neither the manicure nor the pedicure was done exceptionally well– I could do about the same.
This place would get three stars if not for the owner clearly being more profit-​driven than customer-​oriented. She tries to be nice, but also runs out the door (literally, slamming doors and all) to recruit potential customers in every time they stop and look in the window. She greatly underestimates the expected wait times to get customers to stay, and in the end, delivers only a subpar to average product.

Quick overall: Minna Nails is excellent! The staff are very friendly yet professional and they’re quick with their manis and pedis but very thorough, i.e. getting EVERY side of nail with layers of polish while cleaning up edges and under the finger nail for extra polish. It’s easy to walk-​in or make an appointment where they call to remind you of. It’s a quiet, calm setting, but not super fancy but what matters is consistent quality work.
Quick tips: Do the mani/​pedi deal for $ 28. They accept credit card EXCEPT for CASH TIP ONLY. Of course if you’re getting a pedicure (feet) wear easy to slip on flip-​flops so you don’t mess up your nails (even if they appear dry it can smudge) and shorts.
I was visiting SF for the weekend and was gonna take a friend who has never had a manicure, so I rolled the dice on this place and wasn’t disappointed. I walked in on a Sunday and was able to have me and my friend seated right away. They may be quick but they were really detailed. When other places in SoCal rush through and will forget a layer on the side of one or two nails, Minna Nails got all my polish layers to the sides and edges and used orange stick with acetone to clean under the nail so the polish was flush with the edge. Even when I messed up an edge getting my purse they fixed it right away as if the boo-​boo never happened. The staff are really sweet but also don’t chat really while working on you. There were really sweet regular patrons I could talk to about their favorite restaurants too.
I was so pampered on vacation thanks to Minna Nails.

I’m a fan of this place because I generally go for mani/​pedis to relax and I like that the staff here are not too chatty. I can read/​sleep, relax or space out without having to answer a lot of intrusive personal questions. It seems that even when speaking with each other, they use more hushed/​quiet voices. As a new mom, I appreciate the quiet, peaceful space and they consistently do a great job for a reasonable price. The owner is super friendly and welcoming as well.

I have been in SF for 1 month and have tried one other nail salon in Noe Valley. This place is not fancy at all: you will not receive wine, long hand massages or an upscale environment, but you will walk out with perfect manicure, shaping, and polish for CHEAP. My Shallec nails were $ 25 and pedicure was $ 20. Trihn was my manicurist. When I sat down she asked me how I found out amount them, I told her Unilocal.She was very excited and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with each step of the process. For cheap and perfect nails, I would go back.
Tip: They only accept cash for tips

I came here late Saturday for a pedicure. I got the deluxe pedicure which comes with
a scrub, leg and foot massage. They did an excellent job on my feet. Very warm, friendly and courteous staff. They didn’t rush and they took their time. (When your getting such a relaxing service and one should never be rushed ever! That’s ultra rude.) The conversation was pleasant (none of that asking intrusive personal questions of clients) which is a major plus with me! I will continue coming to this nail salon!

I recently went to Minna because I was shopping on 24^th with a friend and she wanted to get a wax, and this is her go-​to waxing spot (despite the fact that she lives across town). I got a pedicure while she was having her pubes ripped out. Not only was the service pleasant and everyone very friendly, but it’s a full two weeks later and my pedicure still looks almost perfect! Definitely the longest-​lasting pedicure I’ve ever had, especially since I’m a distance runner and also walk a lot. I’ll be back!

I have been going to Minna for about 8 months. They remembered me the second time I went in and I am not likely to go anywhere else in SF.
I get gel manicures on a regular basis and they are so careful and thorough they last about 3 – 4 weeks. I have done gel in other cities and only had them last a week. And believe me I cook and clean and scour my bathroom and the manicure lasts and lasts.
I have also done brow waxing and they do a great job. They only suggest it when I really need it and don’t try to get me to do it just to make $$.
The experience is a little longer than some other places but only because they take so much care with what they do.
Another perk is that while I know some people like to just be quiet and enjoy, I have also met some of the nicest people while I have been sitting in the chair. I love a neighborhood experience.
The owner of the shop is lovely.
As for the cash gratuity part, it is easy to get some cash on the way, not a big deal in my estimation.
As I say with most reviews, if you don’t like Minna, more room for me.

Even though I had previously written an unfavorable review for this place, I needed my nails done in a jiffy and I called to shop their prices just in case.

Them: «Yes. Pedicure?»
Me: «Sure. How much is your acrylic fill and pedicure?»
Them: «Manicure?»
Me: «No. Acrylic fill and pedicure. How much?»
Them: «Manicure, pedicure?»
Me: «No. Do you do acrylic fills?»
Them: «Manicure, pedicure?»
Me: «No… Acrylic and pedicure. ACRYLIC. How much?»
Them: «Manicure, pedicure?»
I swear, it’s like I got stuck with the person who could repeat the only two words she knew in the English language, which were «Manicure, Pedicure?»
