Mimi is great, she is my favorite but the other staff members are really good as well.

It was my first time coming here. First, there’s only one person doing nails and one person doing pedicures. Second, the guy who did my nails was very rough and cut me a few times. It was a painful experience. Third, I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he said he could do it. It was nowhere close to what I asked for. The ombré wasn’t nice and the acrylic was applied very thin. Full set gel goes for $ 23+ I ended up paying $ 45. The nail job I got done was not worth it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! Hands down the best nails and eyebrows in the city! They are all like family to me. I have been a client for 25 years strong. I adore Misa and her family. They were at City Nails II on Divisadero st for 25+ years but have now moved here.

Job well done. I just finished getting my typical regular mani/​pedi. At first I was a bit hesitant to make my visit knowing Diane had sold her business.
Anyways, the new staff here is super friendly and gets the job done! Not only that, Lisa the owner is apparently Diane’s cousin!
I am super glad I don’t have to travel too far just to get my typical mani/​pedi.

They did an amazing job i am definitely coming back. They were so accommodating i absolutely loved it. I am coming back for my pedi and mani with my girls in oct!!! Cant wait!

Loved how misa did my eyebrows! I also had a full face wax and it was a good experience. The whole experience was nice i walked in 1 min before they closed and they still took me in, and misa took her time waxing, I did not feel rushed at all and no pain.
Very sweet ladies in here, I will definitely be coming back to see them!
My only advice is bring cash, because I only had my card and a lady had to come and take my card to swipe it at a restaurant which was kind of odd for me but i’m guessing they own that restaurant as well.

They do the greatest eyebrows and eyelashes omg！it was amazing when I looked at the mirror after she got mine done. So natural !! Love it !!

When I first came here there was a lady that did good work.
Now things have changed. I left a good review before but now that I’ve been there a few times, I shouldn’t experience cuts or pains during a mani-​pedi session as a customer. I have a fungus on my large toe, he was hacking away which I appreciated until it got painful.
I had to tell him I shouldn’t have to experience PAIN!

DIANE!!! WHYYYYY?!
I hate giving a 2 star review to my beloved Misa’s because with Diane, this place deserves more than 5 stars. Without her though, it’s just soulless.
First, I hate liars & when I walked in, I saw that I was NOT looking at Diane. When I asked where she was, the 2 ladies told me that she took the day off. Okaaay. But something else was different. I asked if she changed the seats & they said that SHE did. I always bring my own polish & gave it to them as I took a seat. Hmmm. Where’s the picture of Diane’s kids? Where’s her little warnings on nail fungus? The pillows? … Where’s her license & certificate? Where’s ANY license or certificate? (I’m sure they have them but they weren’t posted.) So, I asked them, «She didn’t take the day off. She sold the place, didn’t she?» They finally admitted that they were the new owners. I don’t understand why they didn’t say that from the beginning. I just cannot understand liars especially when there’s just no reason to lie. Fine. Let me just get my nails done & get out of here.
Unfortunately, I had confetti polish which, as we all know, needs to be dabbed on, not painted. If you try to paint it, you just sweep off the confetti. The lady didn’t know this & had to call the other lady over to help. While this was going on, a woman came in to ask how much a fill was. The woman who didn’t know how to apply confetti polish told her they didn’t do fills. Now, I don’t know if they really don’t know how to do fills, if there was a miscommunication or if SHE didn’t know how to do fills like she didn’t know how to do confetti polish & the other woman DID know … or what. I don’t know. But at the time, it was not a smooth operation.
They finished the job which was okay. Just okay. The confetti was sprinkled around sparsely instead of being coated on & it’s been over a week without any weird diseases popping up on my toes so I’m giving them 2 stars. Then they took my polish & put it back with their stock which I’m going to assume was a simple mistake. I walked another couple of blocks to get my pedi redone & they did a great job of cleaning up whatever the new owners missed. The place that cleaned up my nails will probably be my new nail salon but I will definitely miss the inviting coziness & family atmosphere that Diane provided. God, I miss you Diane!!!

Diane is the Best! I have been a loyal customer of her’s for over 13 years, have followed her from Salon to Salon. She has had her own Salon, Misa’s Nails for quite some time now and has always done great work on me! She does awesome pedicures, uses clean plastic wrapper for the water every time and always uses clean tools. I have had gel manicures, french manicures, regular manicures and always pleased! I usually bring my own polish and she keeps it there for me. Her waxing is great too, eyebrows look like movie stars.
I am very picky and a bit older, have always been happy and highly recommend her work. It is best to make an appointment as she gets very busy.

So I looked up some places on Unilocal for a mani/​pedi and this place had the best rating. Well let me tell you: they hurt me! she repeatedly cut my cuticles and made fingers and toes bleed! :(

Diane is so welcoming. It was my first time at this nail salon and she made me feel like i was a regular there! She is so quick when doing nails and takes pride in still maintaining the quality of her nails. I am really pick about my nails and she did a fantastic job of keeping me satisfied. I had learned my lesson on not to judge a book by its cover… or in this case not to judge a nail shop by its outside or even inside. Its a warm little shop so if you are into all that fancy spa chairs and feel you will not find it here. At Misa’s it is simple yet quiet. Its not like you will be sitting there for a long time because Diane will have you in and out NO PROBLEM lol. I will be coming back because I am completely satisfied.

I have been going to this place for about 6 years! and not only does Diane complete the very best work here, she is so sweet and welcomes everyone! she has great prices and your full set can last up to 4 weeks! I still have not found a place any where as close as good as Diane. Misa’s Nails is by far the best nail place ever!!! I even travel out to San Francisco just to get my nails done by her as much as I can. If that does not say anything then maybe the fact that she has loyal customers of 6 years like my self! :0)

I walked in without an appt on Valentines Day weekend. There were 2 employees, and 2 clients. I was told to have a seat, pick my polish etc. The place is small, but who needs a huge salon to get a mani/​pedi? I was worked on about 10 minutes after sitting down.
My only advice, is to call ahead and make sure they can take you in. While I was there, the owner had to turn away 3 customers. Sad really, but she just didn’t have the time. Whats great, is that she didn’t turn ME away :)
The mani/​pedi was standard. Nothing to rave about. I will def be coming back since Misas Nail is only 3 minutes from my home, and I will def go back to try other services, such as waxing my brows, etc. I also like supporting smaller businesses, such as this establishment.

Very good work and friendly service. Good waxing and nail work. Prices are the best, cheap and quality. Went Sat. and am very pleased.
