Still supporting. First Unilocal was back in 2008. It wasn’t very informative other than asking everyone to support. Five years later: — Coffee options including a house drip blend. Smooth with an innocuous taste. Providing the energy boost to rock the gym after sleeping just four hours was the best part. — Sandwich with turkey and avocado was deceiving. Didn’t look too big. Few bites found myself impressed with the taste combo and the size. — Turkey arepa was backup in case the aforementioned sandwich left me hungry. Loved the $ 2 price. Loved the more than $ 2 taste. Saved most for later. Maize dough for the win. — Space is just as clean and inviting as before. Plenty of Latin accents. Gentleman helping me was friendly and personable. You could tell he took pride in everything. — Hood still needs more places like this. Which means you should still be supporting too.

I stopped by here a few weeks ago and forgot to check in. I was too involved with chatting away and how excited I was to know their still here. Of course, I’m not surprised. They have excellent service, serve a mean strong authentic Colombian coffee, and the best part of all, it’s a neighborhood gem tucked on South Van Ness only a few blocks away from the 16th Street Bart Station. I still love their cute tables and chairs outside where you can just stop whatever your doing and chill for a few and savor your flavor of the day. If I decide to work out in the field again, I would definitely spend more time here. Thank you always Muisca for your excellent service and for your delicious coffee. PS — if you come here during their busy times, they have locals that seat inside and it’s fun to watch them especially the seniors who appears to be enjoying listening to their Colombian music. What a treat! Cheers!

I wrote a review months ago when I lived in San Francisco, I am glad to know that Ceasar the owner is still there providing the most amazing experience for his guest. I can’t wait to go back and eat a perico, or to enjoy an authentic empanada. Cesar please keep up the good work.

This café has very personable staff. They are attentive to your needs! The ambiance is very calm. You can stop by and relax and have your coffee or morning pastry and feel very at ease. The staff always remember their patrons names, and give fantastic customer service. I absolutely recommend this place versus your corporate coffee shop with uncourteous staff. Fantastic

The smell of fresh arepas dragged my sleepy ass into the café this week. WOW! What a way to start the day! And so reasonably priced! Plus the staff is so kind and charming.

Friendly staff and a nice little café on a big busy street. I’ve eaten their blueberry muffin at least 3x in the last month. It’s a good option for having missed breakfast.

Hands-down one of the best cafes in San Francisco. The place has really nice coffee, strong-tasting but smooth, which is organic. Their pastries are wonderful, plus everyone who works here is very polite and kind. They have an ATM machine, AND accept credit cards. FREE, reliable Wi-fi! Very intimate setting; nice artwork on the walls that I assume supports the local artists because they are for sale.

It’s tough to get a good cup of coffee in the Mission, but ever morning I head to Muisca and leave happy(and awake). The staff are super friendly, there is beautiful art on the wall and if you want a nosh, they have delicious arepas and other goodies. Easy 5 stars!

This place only opened up a few weeks ago and I am happy to see it back. The tamales and empanadas are great and are handmade by Cesar himself. They are good commuter food, but bring a napkin for slightly sticky fingers. The coffee is solid as well. Not an overwhelmingly strong flavor, but enough to let you know its there. Generally well balanced. Goes well with milk. If you have a little extra time Cesar will heat up the empanadas or tamales for the road. For me this is perfect since I like to swing by before I hit BART/Cal Train. Its obvious the Cesar and Anne really care about the place they want it to be the best possible experience for their customers. The love to talk and really give the café a warm feel.

HELLOOOO! WOW! OMG! You know when you see those commercials on TV? You know, the one where the person wakes up. Person follows trail of coffee brewing scent. Person pours cup. Person takes a sip. Person’s eyes pop open. Person GRINS. Person does cartwheels to express pure joy [optional]. Well the last part pretty much summarizes my experience at Muisca today. Here’s another way of way of saying it: Swetha + Muisca Columbian coffee = skip, jump & cartwheeeeeeeel! P.s. If you’re a friend, family member, secret admirer(I don’t blame ya!), and you want to get me something phenomenal, I’m accepting all gifts from Muisca. Specifically Columbian coffee ground. Don’t hold back, feel free to get me multiple bags, I’ll happily increase my daily caffeine shots =)

The coffee is, hands down, the richest and most rewarding in flavor of any coffee shop I’ve been to in San Francisco. I’ve lived in the city for 7 years but I have not been a coffeehound the whole time. Pete’s is good. Starbucks is Starbucks, nothing more, nothing less. All Star Café is disgusting. Blue Bottle is Yuppylicious. Muisca is in a league of its own. After one week of having the coffee every day [except mondays… they are closed… on the day I need them most] coffee from other places just seem like luke warm dirt water. Yeah, dirt water. The product is great, fair-trade, non blah blah… to boot! The staff is nice and it’s great to have a regular face that smiles back at me and knows what I want. I’m a creature of habit, as most humans are. Large coffee with a shot or two of espresso topped off with cold soy. It has a beautiful simplicity to it that’s pretty undeniable. Go there. There are never any lines. They aren’t making as much money as they should be making… and that’s expecially important right now… It’s the best coffee in SF and I think you should make it your favorite too!

So I have many reasons for liking this place: 1. It is close to my sometimes-employer, bringing sustenance and joie de vivre to a formerly desolate couple blocks of the Mission. 2. It provides me with Stash tea, of the Raspberry Pomegranate Green tea variety(in fact, this is is ONLY tea I will drink – only brand, and only flavor, so I do indeed feel quite fortuitous). 3. Last time I was there, they were featuring a hot ham sandwich, which reminded me of Lindsay Bluth’s hot ham water, and that made my day(also making my day is the fact that I just discovered a Facebook group dedicated to said hot ham water, although, alas, no recent activity).

My primary purpose when reviewing cafes is to find a good environment to hang out and work from my laptop. The biggest impediment for working from my laptop was a lack of wi-fi. However, it does have a nice little cozy atmosphere that makes it stick out like a sore thumb from the grungy neighbourhood outside. However, the coffee is decent, there was no one there which was a nice little bonus and they did offer a decent looking paella(to clarify, it looked good but I didn’t taste it). Its a small place which could serve like a good stop to pick up a cup of coffee and hang out. Unfortunately, it does not suit my needs.
