My mother and I have been going to Mary for years and she is the sweetest! She knows my whole family and is always very friendly and talkative! I’ve had countless manicures and pedicures (gel or not) and they are always fantastic! Their prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and the results are superb! I would highly recommend– Mary in particular!

What a sweet lady! She stayed open late an extra 30 mins to give me a much needed fill. So friendly and funny and does a wonderful job! Never had such a great time at a nail salon. Definitely would recommend

Came here with my sister for her birthday… the lady cut my nails then went and gave some girl who came after us a pedicure… and left me sitting there. I understand if she had an appointment before us but even then, she could have let us know there was a wait so we could have found somewhere else, instead of having me sit there and wait for my nails to be finished for 30 minutes. Total waste of my time and my sisters birthday. Will not be coming back

Polite. Professional staff. Affordable prices. I couldn’t add tip to the debit card transaction. I asked if they could charge me and then I would go to the ATM and pull out cash for tip and come back (which I honestly would have done out of respect to these women). I didn’t catch their names, but they wouldn’t continue until I put on my shoes, went to the ATM for cash and returned. They did do a good job, but I didn’t appreciate having to be forced to provide gratuity. I didn’t leave a tip because I felt service was good. I left a tip out of pity.

This is the sweetest place! They’re like a little family! Didn’t know places like this still existed. They have so many regulars — from years and years and years, and they are clearly loved. Highly recommend :-).

Perfect mani/​padis every time I go. They stay on longer than most as well. Inexpensive and efficient. The ladies that work there are really sweet too.

I just got back from a mani/​eyebrow wax and felt compelled to write a review immediately. I live across the street and tried out the neighboring Hand Touch Nail Care first but wasn’t terribly impressed. Next was Nails N Beauty and I had high hopes given the reviews. Everything you hear is true… Mary is a DOLL! Her positive energy alone would keep me coming back but on top of it my eyebrows were great (done by Mary). My mani was excellent as well. I didn’t get the other woman’s name but she was great because she was very gentle. I find some manicurists are hasty with the nail file which sometimes leads to unpleasant nicks. Definitely not the case with her. The actual salon isn’t very fancy but don’t let that fool you. The quality is great and the service is lovely. I definitely see why Mary has regulars of 15+ years.

So happy I found this place on Unilocal!Mary is so sweet and funny, she did an amazing job on my nails, and the salon is reasonably priced and open later than other salons on chestnut! Definitely planning on becoming a regular!

I rarely write reviews, but feel compelled. The woman working there squeezed me in 10 mins before they closed, but didn’t rush me at all. She did a great job and was so friendly and welcoming. I’ll be back!

I’m so thankful to have found this quaint, reasonably priced, surprisingly homey nail salon! Mary does the best acrylic gel polish nails I’ve ever had! She has consistent customers, some 20+ years, who become friends. My advice: call ahead and ask what time you should come to avoid a potential wait. Not always the case, but saves time. If not, she’s worth the wait!

I had my nails and toes done last night by the nicest woman.
I called to schedule an appointment for after work hours (around 7 pm), and the manager in broken English told me to come at 6:45 pm on my first visit, then I could schedule a later time on subsequent visits. I thought, «great, another demanding salon that’s going to make fun of my dry cuticles!»
I was pleasantly surprised that they not only stayed late for me as I came by closer to 7, but she struck up a conversation that was endearing, funny and made me feel like a good friend. I’ll be back in a few weeks, despite how long the manicure will last!

May not be the fanciest salon but I have been coming to this salon for years because Mary does a PERFECT manicure and is so sweet. And Nancy does a perfect pedicure. And they are priced great.

They take credit cards!

I tried this place with a girlfriend yesterday for the first time. The ladies were very friendly and they did a really great job! Agreed that polish selection was limited, but the mani/​pedi itself was up to par. relaxing leg/​hand massage and she pushed back my cuticles perfectly. And for $ 20?! Will definitely go back!

Worst manicure ever — had an older gentleman — barely pushed back my cuticles, awful hand massage, my nails are oddly shaped. NEVER AGAIN.

My usual nail place was super packed today, so I decided to check this place out because it wasn’t so busy. I’m glad I did. Although it’s pretty small, it’s very clean and cozy. No fuss. Not a lot of talking. Just pretty relaxing.
The lady who did my pedi did an awesome job and she was very thorough. The other lady who did my mani, who I think is the owner, did a really great job as well. My nails aren’t smudged and there aren’t any tiny bubbles that I sometimes get at other nail places.
I’d definitely come back! Minus one star because they don’t have much variety with their OPI or Essie selections. They mostly had red, pink, and mauve colors. But, they did have OPI’s pretty blue color called «Sea? I Told You!»
$ 20 for a mani/​pedi in a non-​massage chair. And be prepared because it’s CASH ONLY!

so both my big toenails died from a crazy bike ride last november and i was so embarrassed to take my shoes off after that. EW! i couldn’t hardly do yoga because my toes were grossing me out. so i went to mary at nails-​n-​beauty simply because it’s by my work. again i was embarrassed but took my shoes off and apologized and pleaded. what to do with these monsters?! mary dialed me in with fake toenails. they looked real and perfect. she’s hooked me up ever since. one is all the way grown back finally and the other one is almost there. that would have been 7 months of toe disgust on my part if it weren’t for this place. thank GAWD.
besides their nails saviness & expertise, the place is cozy and comfy and everyone is in a good mood, it’s not any kind of extreme in any direction. it just is, and i like that. it’s got a mellow, kind, genuine, unpretentious, professional atmosphere.
one time i left my bike waterbottle there. 2 or 3 weeks later when i went in the first thing they did was run around to find my water bottle that they’d put in a plastic baggy, along with 2 dollar bills fastened to it with a rubberband. apparently they’d overcharged me the same day i’d left the waterbottle — i had no idea.
so i’m sayin’, this place, these folks, love ‘em.
