One of my favorite go to spots for a good sit down lunch during the work week. The owners are the best guys ever, food is great and fast and reasonably priced. I LOVE this place.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. I’ve walked by dozens of times in FiDi but never given it any thought until my friend was craving Mexican food and his regular place was closed. We made it in for an early lunch but a good amount of tables were already taken. This place isn’t too big or too small, and has a casual cozy vibe. We were seated right away with chips and salsa ready to go on the table. I ordered the two carne asada taco combo, the bf got chicken tacos and my friend went with the enchiladas. General consensus was that it’s fresh, tasty, and filling. The rice and beans are definitely negligible, but the carne asada was pretty close to perfect. Also, they’re really flexible about customizing your toppings which is always appreciated. The best part about this place was the service. The father and son who were running the restaurant were incredibly attentive and sweet — even after it got insanely packed towards the end of our meal. Will definitely keep this place in mind for a good FiDi lunch.

Probably the best Mexican spot in FiDi. Happy Hour is great there too! It’s from 5−7pm. Huge plus that they have some select hard liquor to get your drank on! Got the bean dip, tacos(chicken, carne, carnitas), guac, hella orders of their chicken wings( ), and flautas to share with the girls last night. They come here often after work but this was my first time. Got some dranks too. Service here is great! Everyone was super friendly and helpful even though the place was packed. I recommend coming here if you’re in the area and craving Mexican food!

Hmmmmm. Not bad, not bad. Definitely could’ve been better I have high standards because I’m from LA where the Mexican food tends to be a bit more authentic(in my experience) . REASON: I came here for a really early lunch just to meet and chat with someone from my company. And wanted to eat somewhere close by. His suggestion was this Mexican place. FOOD: Supreme burrito. There’s something lacking here. If it wasn’t for the burrito doused in sauce it would’ve been quite a plain burrito. Ton of beans. No guac. Pretty huge burrito. Served on cheap colorful plates. You’ve got to use a knife and fork to eat it with because it’s pretty much a wet burrito. Come here when you’re hungry, you get GIGANTIC portions. Probably best to call in your order or get it to go. SERVICE: Asked us what we wanted to drink right when we sat down. However, we didn’t know if we were supposed to seat ourselves or ask for a table. So we stood there dumbfounded for a minute before someone told us that we could sit anywhere. I think it’s seat yourself if there’s no one there, and wait in line if there’s a ton of people there. AMBIANCE: You got your mom and pop looking place. With a bunch of wooden old school tables and checkered table clothes with glass on top. TIP: the best time to go during the weekdays is before 11:30. I came at 11, and there were about two tables taken. But as I was leaving around 12. The line was OUT the door. ALL the tables were taken.

Wow! You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the amount of people inside and this place was packed. Was able to get my food fast and efficiently. What a delicious shredded chicken burrito! The sauce that the chicken was marinating in was tasty! Just wish the hot sauce was actually hot. Will definitely be going back.

Located on the same city block as Chipotle and Taco Bell, this is a solid FiDi option for Mexican(and Tex-Mex) cuisine. Obviously not as good as well-known Mission staples, but a safe bet for lunch downtown. Heck, it’s not uncommon to see some office workers sneak a Margarita or Tecate when dining in. Beef & Pork Chimichanga: Better than I expected. A nice mix of ground beef and pork cubes for good meat texture contrast. Some veggies mixed in like grilled peppers and maybe even lettuce. Topped with a dollop of sour cream and guacamole. It felt like just the right portion of deep fried burrito to be satisfying, but not to over stuff you and make you feel gross. I like that the tortilla was fried on the outside but still a little soft on the inside so it didn’t feel overly deep fried. Beans & Rice: Pretty standard refried beans and yellow rice. Complemented the main dish, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat just these. Nachos & Salsa: The salsa definitely tasted like it was made earlier in the day rather than a few days back. I could tell because the cilantro was nice and crisp. Also, a decent pepper kick. It’s a good thing my main dish came out quickly so I didn’t fill up on these.

Always fresh, always authentic. I’ve been getting lunch to go here for eight years. This is a good value authentic Mexican restaurant with no BS. Staff is always friendly and hustling. This place gets VERY busy, so show up early or be patient… or both. If you want more of a FiDi blue shirt and khakis experience you can always go to Chipotle and join the herd.

We got there at 12:10 and the line was out the door. However, that was the take-out line. Stay to the left for table seating, which goes much faster. I had the chilequiles, which was excellent. The table service was great, and Alex keeps things moving. The seats turn over pretty quickly because most people are on their lunch hour. Not us. There was no pressure as we decided to linger. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the FiDi.

I try to make it here once a month for the crab enchilada. They only have the crab on Fridays. All the food is exceptional and the prices are very reasonable. I live In the east bay but this place is just a 5 minute walk from Embarcadero Bart station. Definitely worth the trip. If you like margaritas, try the cucumber and jalapeño margarita, they make the best combination. My wife is a big fan of the surf & turf burrito, she has been coming here for over 20 years

Breakfast Burrito: — Rice — Beans — Rice — A little lettuce — Rice — Tablespoon of chorizo — Rice — Is that egg? — Rice Honestly the worst burrito, breakfast or not, that I have ever had.

I usually call in my order for a super burrito chicken no salsa no sour cream on the phone and wait only 2mins or so to pick up my order. They do charge for chips but the kind man who is tall and big lets me slide since I only ask for 6 pieces of chips with no salsa to chew as I go back to work. Since I’m a regular and come often. It gets really packed in the financial district during lunch time. So if you don’t come in before 12, it’s a little tough to get a seat. But for those on the go, they have a fast ordering and pick up line on the right part of the restaurant where they handle you real quick. I only tried their burrito, and I only stick to the same burritos order. Their rice are really good it’s like a yellowish color and the chicken meat is shredded that looks like string cheese. The beans are cooked pretty good and doesn’t taste over cooked. The cashier are nice and the big guy next to her is kind to me when I pick up my order. Keep up the good work. –1 star for no extra seating if you want to dine in. Maybe make a top floor or make some tables outside? But overall 5⁄5 if I can seat down sometimes. cheers!

Food is okay at this place if you’re hungry. Not very tasty, just rice and beans. Anyway, I went to it for a burrito just because Chiplotle next to them was packed, lines out the door and this place is usually not that full. Well, got in and ordered a carne asada«Burrito Supreme with guac» paid over $ 9 which is what you’d normally pay for a Chipotle one with double the meat. They gave me such a small burrito, half the size of Chipotle, very light and when I asked the FAT guy who was handing them out don’t know if owner or manager if I could have some chips, very RUDE said«Well, did you pay for chips???» pointing his finger to the board. What Mexican taqueria doesn’t give you free chips??? I am NEVER going back there, the workers in the kitchen and the waiters are cool, but that one fat dude gave me attitude big time. I’ll just stand in line at Chipotle for better service and MUCH more fooooood! BTW: their salsa sucks!!!

The ingredients tasted fresh and fine, that wasn’t the problem. However, their portion sizes were paltry and that was disappointing. I got the carne asada supremo bowl and literally less than 1⁄3 of the take out container was actually filled with food. The halal truck two blocks away fills the same container to the brim with food.

Affordable and awesome Mexican lunch in Fidi. Most people do takeout which is much faster and a lot more convenient. Expect a short wait if you have a large party, or avoid the lunch crowd and go slightly later. The fajita is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

17 year customer will never go back. I’ve been a happy customer of Orale Orale for 16 or 17 years, but I will never go back. I’ll try to keep this brief as I will not be wasting any of my time or thoughts on this place ever again. Ate there with my family last week and had the WORST service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. To be fair, my wife did have the audacity to ask the server(who I believe is one of the managers/owners) if he could check on our food(we’d been waiting for about 15 minutes and, if you’ve ever been here, you know they move you through fast). The manager barely glanced at her and said, «Yeah, it’s coming up» as he pointed to the kitchen. It went downhill from there. My wife ordered the grilled tilapia and it came out dry(obviously cooked too long). When she commented to the server that it was dry he didn’t miss a step as he flew past our table — he said, «put some lime on it…» in a voice that left no doubt that he was irritated and didn’t have time or patience for his customer. My burrito was hardly better(and I have always loved the food here). The manager who was obviously miffed at us never came back, but as we were preparing to leave, my wife did stop him to say that the fish was the worst she had ever had(since he never stopped to ask how the food was, or if there was anything else we wanted, she had to bring it up to him). Now, I can understand that he might not like hearing this, but that’s no excuse for what ensued. He launched into a ridiculous defense of the poor preparation, indicating that she shouldn’t expect grilled fish to be moist(really? Um, we’ve had plenty of grilled fish and, if cooked properly, it should be moist). He argued with her until she said, «I’m the customer and you shouldn’t treat customers like this!» He ended up shouting at both her and my son and insulted us before storming off. I don’t care how good the food and service has been in the past, I will never be going back. Small loss to them, I know: they have a line out the door, but if I had built up a business over so many years, I’d be utterly disappointed to have someone like that trash my reputation.

My former co-worker first introduced me to Orale Orale with the seafood burrito. I had never seen a burrito so huge in my life that it did not take long to get addicted to it and the crab enchiladas that were available on Fridays only. Lunch can be very busy so it is best to get it to go unless you are working the day after Thanksgiving, then you will get a seat without the wait or go after work for a quick dinner and/or its happy hour specials. Decades later, it is still reasonably priced and with the basket of chips and salsa, you will walk away full and happy.

Just finished inhaling my food and all I can say is… whoa. We have a collection of menus at work, and Orale Orale’s was in the pile. My coworker said good things about the baby burrito, saying it was sizable even for being the smallest burrito you can order. Placed a phone order for pick up and asked them to hold the rice and add guacamole and salsa, and the very nice lady on the phone said it would be ready in less than five minutes. Immediately after hanging up I went downstairs and down the block and when I walked in my burrito was already ready. Taking it back to the lunchroom in my building and unwrapping it, I was surprised by how generous of a burrito it really is. For only $ 4.25 you get a ton of meat(I ordered the chicken) and ingredients — but this is definitely as messy as it gets. Multiple-napkins-required messy. And I reveled in every bite. The chicken was flavored wonderfully, and the salsa and guacamole combined with the pinto beans made this an incredibly delicious, cheap dinner. With the added toppings and a can of soda my total came out to $ 7.30. I’m still savoring the flavors left behind. My menial complaint: not enough guacamole. It was definitely there, but there wasn’t quite enough for the whole burrito. Seriously one of the best burritos I’ve ever had, and it’s a fantastic deal that left me full but not stuffed. I’ll be coming back regularly!

This is a really cool Mexican food joint that has a great environment! When you walk in, it has that crazy, loud, and all over the place vibe! Its small so don’t expect to come here with a large group! The one thing I didn’t like was the heat! ITWASSOHOT! The tiny restaurant with the amount of people waiting for a seat and food being cooked was not a good combo! The food was pretty good! I ordered the pasedor tacos! It’s a hefty meal! It comes with rice and beans on the side so don’t think ordering tacos is JUST the tacos! Grab a friend and enjoy :)

Yum yum yummmmmmm. Love this place. Every time I come here, it’s always delicious. Decided to make an update since I tried another delicious item! Got the Seafood Supremo the other day and it was so good! They were quick to make it. Took like 2 – 3 minutes. That sauce on the burrito was delicious as well. The aroma just makes your mouth water. Now it may sound weird that there is sauce on top of the burrito, but just try it! Now I have 3 favorites: Pork Quesadilla, Chicken Chimichanga, and Seafood Supremo. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu!
