Friendly staff, delicious food, and very nice ambiance. I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo and a mimosa. The service was good and the food came out perfect. Thank you!

I came the day before they were supposed to do a remodel, but in case they haven’t changed the décor, I would recommend you sit on the right hand side of the restaurant, because then you won’t have to stare at a wall filled with photos of ragged 60s hippies doing dope and generally being jobless. Overall a good place for breakfast with the only real flaw being they ran out of mushrooms. A good option if you don’t want to wait in Epic lines at mamas.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times and have always been happy with the food. You can’t really go too wrong with breakfast. The first time I came this place was absolutely packed — but the second time we were seated right away. Will always be happy to go back.

LOVETHISCAFE! Such an adorable place and is in an excellent location– right next to the cable car stop in Fishermans! Staff is very friendly and the owner is such a sweet lady! If you like a sweet breakfast, I recommend the«Go Wild» with the French toast! We were seated quickly and the food came out fast! Love it! Great place to beat the craziness and crowded wait times for Cafes in union square!

Yes, yes, YES! Talk about exactly what I want every time I go out for brunch. This place is small, service is slow, and it’s popular– so be warned that if you’re on a time constrant it’s not the way to go. Even so, if you have some time to lazily sip on your coffee while eating some of the best brunch foods you can imagine, Pat’s Café is where it’s at. A few of the highlights: — The crab cake eggs benedict was amazing. As good as you can imagine the combination of those two foods, it’s even better. –The french toast is made of sour dough bread slices. It’s more amazing than you can imagine. –Service when we went and needed a table for 6 was slow, almost non-existant to a frustrating level. However, the quality and taste of the food made up for the long wait in my book. I will definitely be back to try more of their food the next time I’m in town. 5 stars for food, 3 for service = 4 overall.

Stopped here for breakfast before I rented a bike to ride over he Golden Gate Bridge. Obviously a cute little local spot, bright colors adorn the outside. Seems to very locally owned, Pat is an actual person and walked in while I was there. My waiter was warm and friendly and there seem to be some locals as well as passers by. I ordered an OJ and pats corned beef hash which came with eggs to your liking, some potatoes and your choice of toast(chose the sourdough, obviously). All in all a perfectly good breakfast, healthy portions. The sourdough toast was really good but I couldn’t finish all four pieces. The eggs were cooked pretty spot on(over easy). I think the potatoes would have been better off a little more well done. I think it’s a little pricey for a plain old breakfast but I feel like this is the norm in San Fran — and you are paying for the cutesy neighborhood feel.

We had brunch here over the weekend and it was amazing. The service was a little slow and no one greeted us for about 10 minutes at our table but the food was so good it made up for it. The owner Pat took our order and recommended the French toast so I went with that. You have to try this French toast. It’s like the softest piece of bread ever(I think it was sourdough) and the sasauge was also good. Didn’t try the salmon eggs Benedict but my friend seemed to like it. Oh — I also tried the pancakes and they were pretty tasty too. So happy to have found a nearby brunch spot without lines around the block!

Lovely small place with warm and welcoming interior. Great food, freshly made and cooked to order. It is a perfect breakfast location. Not only because of the great service which is kind and fast, but also for the physical location in a short walking distance to the piers and Fisherman’s Wharf. They probably serve lunch as well, I’m not sure about it since we came in and asked only about breakfast. If they do serve other menus I’m sure it must be good as well.

Not bad — a solid 3.5÷5. Tried the eggs benedict, chocolate and peanut putter pancakes, and pumpkin and pecan pancakes. Everything was pretty good, but nothing blew me away. I definitely recommend the peanut butter and chocolate pancakes, but likely wouldn’t order the other two again.

Great service, average breakfast food. Nothing innovative or to die for. Looks like the owner is a photographer and likes to sell his framed photos. I found a little unsettling how many cats he owns and photographs… For me, who don’t like those animals, it felt like the whole kitchen was full of cat fur… I don’t have evidence or anything to substantiate that claim… It’s just empirical from what I felt, surrounded by cats in a worm down dining room that is… Wait for it… Carpeted… Yikes.

This place was near our hotel by Fisherman’s Wharf. We woke up and walked on over after I found it on Unilocal.I loved the eggs Benedict with their very own Hollandaise sauce. Simply delicious. Along with their home fries, it was a special breakfast dish. And the coffee in their own Pat’s coffee San Francisco mug was so fresh and delicious. What a breakfast experience too. Pat herself was there and helped us out. Very warm and friendly. She socializes with all the patrons and really makes you feel like you are visiting her home.

Delicious coffees and Benedict brunch. I was recommended this place by a friend and finally got to go before the symphony concert at the pier. Best of all, there was no wait on a Saturday morning at 11am.

If you can’t stomach the wait for the acclaimed Hollywood Café, do make the trek out to Pat’s Café for some simple and delicious food. The service staff is very friendly and there’s also free WiFi! Their hot chocolate is absolutely amazing because they use Ghiradelli chocolate. Now for the food: Joe’s Special: It’s pretty much a breakfast scramble, with eggs, ground beef, spinach, mushrooms and onions. Ingredients were very fresh but this breakfast entrée didn’t blow me away taste-wise. The garlic toast was surprisingly good!(3.5/5 stars) Eggs on Toast: On toast? The eggs were pretty much inside the toast. The egg was delicious but the toast was a bit dry. Sausage links were overcooked a little too much for my personal liking.(3⁄5 stars). If you can’t wait for Hollywood’s massive line and feel ashamed to eat brunch at Denny’s or the other 2000 corporate chain restaurants near Fisherman’s Wharf, Pat’s Café will not leave you disappointed.

I would consider this food better than standard diner food. I ordered the mexican omelette and enjoyed it. The chorizo was really good. My only issue with it was that it wasn’t really an omelette. The egg part was cooked well and blanketed over the pile of omelette insides. My boyfriend enjoyed his burrito, but made the mistake of eating the entire thing(it is huge!). The atmosphere of this little café was perfect for what we were looking for. Something that was small and not packed. It is fairly close to the Fisherman’s Wharf so I naturally was concerned that it would be crowded. It was not. I would recommend this spot for breakfast to anyone staying in the area.

The coffee in the morning with cream is heaven!!! We passed this place on the way to the fishermans wharf and we were staving at 9am. We sat right in the window and enjoyed breakfast & coffee. My gosh was it delicious… I had a fruit bowl and a side of eggs with coffee and cream and it made my tummy smile. It was just enough food where I did not feel stuffed. If we ever visit again I will be there in a heartbeat for the coffee with cream. The cream was so fresh and creamy and it melted into the coffee and left you with a rich flavor. I think I drank 3 cups of coffee because it was that good!

Very down-to-earth place to eat. Walkable distance from The Marriott Hotel(less than 10 min walk)! it was easy to spot, and the bellman from the hotel recommended this place. I only got a picture of my meal which was the Pecan Pumpkin Spice Pancakes and they were delicious! No need for syrup unless you have a big sweet tooth(AKA me) but I initially had tried it without syrup and was satisfied as well. I really wish I was from this area, because I would have LOVED to try other items on Pat’s menu :) maybe, next time I’m in town!

Pat loves orange. …and yellow. …and red. It’s obvious. And it suits it her very well. Plus, those colors increase hunger and is why so many restaurants opt to use those colors. You’ll feel hungry upon arrival but keep in mind, service can be slow, spotty and forgetful. Servers disappear a lot, and it’s unclear at first, who’s supposed to be taking orders, Pat behind the bar or the black-shirted waitstaff, but the food is fresh and the prices fair, and the space clean and inviting. Pat is a product of 1960s San Francisco hippie culture, and local photography adorns the walls. Out front, fresh potted flowers and palm trees add to the homey vibe. Pat’s Café is right on the cable car line so tourists often wander in, but the crowd is decidedly homegrown Californian. To enter, you’ll squeeze through thin 1920s art deco doors that remind me of Turkish elevator doors. Despite the slimness or breathing in that may be required to enter, a stroller made it inside in the end! The baby even winked at me. The Eggs Benedict(12.95 $), French Toast Special(9.60 $) and El Ranchero(10.60 $) are highlights. The sandwich menu and sides, if you want to build your own brunch, is enough to entice. I’ll come back for seconds. I hope service will be more attentive and better at multi-tasking than what I witnessed. randomness: *Her likeness was constructed out of wood and stands out front with an American flag. *There are loads of wall sockets and free wi-fi. *Soju is on the menu.

Charming little mom and pop local café! We popped into Pat’s on a Sunday at 10 am without a reservation(I don’t think they take them). A little notepad sits on the front counter and parties are seated in the order they sign into the notepad. I noticed several tourists had made their way to Pat’s with maps and vacation guides. I’m glad they found a charming and unique place such as this instead of all the chain garbage at the Wharf! After being greeted and writing down our names to be seated, we waited about 5 minutes– pretty minimal in this city for brunch! Service was friendly and prompt once we sat down. Coffee was served while we perused the menu. I ordered the crab cake Benedict. The crab cake was a slightly overcooked but the perfectly poached egg and excellent hollandaise sauce made up for it. Country-fried potatoes were a nice partner to the dish. I appreciated that our server was very attentive– our coffee was refilled 3 times throughout dinner. I will definitely be back! What a great experience.
