Ping Yuen

PIng Yuen is a collection of housing units, apartments along pacific ave. in s.f. chinatown. they are managed by the S.F. Housing Authority.
i may have lived here in my youth. certainly lived on grant ave.
family always visited here regularly during the chinese holidays. during a chinese new years visit. me and the rest of the younguns were blasting firecrackers. generally having a good time.
suddenly, a security guard appeared, demanded all our firecrackers, barrel bombs, the works. we gave it all up, not much, we were just small potatoes…
