My girlfriend and I always stop at Pizza Inferno before we head over to the Kabuki Theatre. They offer vegan cheese for the pizzas and have numerous beers on tap, TVs and a small outdoor seating area in front. Despite some other reviews, the owner has always been very welcoming to us and the rest of the regular staff are great!

This place has a really good pizza. Price is a bit on the higher side, but hey welcome to San Francisco. The owner, who seems to be intimidating many customers, is actually a very nice guy . I have never had any issues with him. He has always shown respect.

This place might be dangerous. I’d avoid it for your safety. There is a rank odor to the place and the food tasted a little off. On top of that, our server Justin went out of his way to be rude. The health department should probably check this place out. Public service announcement.

Can’t figure out how this place stays open. It’s huge, but always empty. Maybe it has another draw that we’re missing. The pizza is mediocre and the beer selection’s ok. The service is poor. It’s close to the kabuke theater and usually open so we’ll stop by when were in a rush and need a quick bite. Service is usually quick, so two stars.

I don’t get these complaints about the staff and owner. I’m from Boston, visit here once a year. Peter and staff remember us from year-to-year and give us great service and food. Visit, eat, drink, enjoy.

Ordering $ 7 beers from their 24 taps gets you a solo cup filled to 14oz. If ordering a 12oz variety, you get a downgraded plastic cup — other restaurants in SF have better water cups, not joking. The 5 beers ordered were raised as an issue by us, but the waiter shrugged and insisted they were the correct pours despite what Google says. Paper plates for okay $ 18 pizza; wings were decent. I guess what you are paying for is the metal flatware.

Worst place on earth to eat! Would not let my dog eat there. Food poisoned the one and only time I ever ate there

I really don’t get this place. I was so thrown off when we walked in and interacted with the owner that I almost immediately walked out but now feel comforted after reading other reviews who had the same experience. I want to start with the good, our waitress and the food runner were the nicest people ever, they almost made up for the owner who might be the worst person I’ve had to deal with. We came here tonight to watch the warriors game knowing the place was always dead and we could get a table. My friend and I walk into an empty restaurant and I tell the owner we need a table for 6, he tells us he won’t seat us until our whole party arrives. We then try to sit at the bar while we wait which he tells us is reserved but he’ll let us sit there for a few minutes. At that point(looking around at the totally empty restaurant) we thought it had to be a joke. When our friends finally arrived we asked to be seated at the still empty restaurant and he wanted us to sit at the back tables. We re-explained that we were there to watch the game and asked to sit next to the tv but he made some comment that he wanted to fill our section up first before opening that section of the restaurant. Seriously? When our waitress came over we asked if we could move seats and she had absolutely no problem with it and gave us amazing service from that point on. The food was ok, the service was excellent. If it wasn’t for the awful owner it would probably be another packed 3 – 4 star place on Fillmore. Too bad he’s ruining it for everyone.

To be fair their food may be ok, but I did not stay long enough to find out. I received terrible service before I was even seated. I came here during game 1 of the 2015NBA finals. It was surprisingly empty but had TV’s and was playing the game. However, the host refused to sit us at a table where I could watch the game. There were clearly open tables, no line, and it was already halfway through the game. Yet he pushed two tables together in front of us and said it was for a group of 4 and was not willing to negotiate. With so many great restaurants on Fillmore, why deal with poor service?

I don’t know how this place can stay open for business with this jerk owner. He could care less about his customers and doesn’t give a flying f@*# if you come back! The food is remarkably decent, but you can bet the staff is getting screwed and hates the boss more than minimum wage. I was with my 85 year old father(who is In a wheelchair), and we were the only two people in the restaurant, so I don’t know why the annoyed owner threw the bill as us. When I asked for an explanation of the bill total, he snarled«add it up». If your surly ex doesn’t give you enough crap, this is the place for you!

Wanting to change up our weekly trivia night outing venue, our group made it over to Fillmore to compete at Pizza Inferno on a thursday night. Aware of the numerous reviews about questionable service I was not all that surprised when we started to experience the harshness of the staff before we were even seated. We were immediately given a hard time about not having our whole party there as well as trivia goers being limited in which seats they could take. Mind you, this was in a completely empty restaurant with less than 10% of the tables even occupied. The bad service continued as the waiter gave more restrictions on simply holding a small container of cookies brought to give as a gift to a friend. The service continued to feel awkward and rude throughout the night. The food was subpar as well. We tried the wings and a pizza and neither were impressive in the least. The one good thing I have to say about Pizza Inferno is that they have a good selection of very quality beers. This is not enough to make up for the rest though. Overall, I don’t know if we will be returning for more trivia at Pizza Inferno but aside from that event, I would advise people to look elsewhere for dinner or drinks because there are certainly better restaurants and bars with friendlier service in the city. «Methinks not.»

The bartender was incredibly rude — I asked about a particular Dogfish Head they had listed on tap(of which there were 3) and he cut me off to tell me about the most popular, then answered the phone. When he finally came back, I asked about the beer I was actually interested in, and he responded«I don’t have that right now» as if I were a jerk for asking. After that, not much interaction — but I did have the pleasure of watching him pour a glass of returned wine back into the bottle. I’d avoid this spot if possible!

The food is nothing special BUT this place is a good option if you are looking to watch a game and want a decent beer selection in the area. Especially if you are not a fan of the Marina/Lower Pac Heights trendy folks.

Don’t go here Horrible service, the bartender looks like he is about to slap you. You better make up you’re mind in 1 second otherwise he will get annoyed. Also they kick you out quickly ! Horrible

The pizza was good quality. Tons of beer to choose from. TVs at the bar. If you are going to The Fillmore to see a show, this is a block or two up from there. Perfect dinner/pregame!

I live near this place, and I’ve always wondered why it’s so empty. It’s HUGE, they seem to have a good menu, and they’ve got a ton of awesome beers on tap. So I decided to experiment by waltzing in one day before a movie at the Kabuki. Was it the pizza, you ask? No, the pizza’s OK – nothing spectacular, but if you like thin-crust with tons of cheese, it’s pretty satiating. Was it the beer? Nope, the beer is good(granted, it’s rather hard to fuck up beer). So what was it? ITWASTHEBEERNAZI. Beware the mean, old, shriveled Scrooge who works at the bar, and who(I think) owns the place. First off, he’s perpetually got this hangdog, sour look on his face that he turns on anyone who walks in. «Ugh, why are you here, I hate when people come to this bar, I hate when people are obnoxious enough to ask me for drinks,» that look says. «What am I, your SERVANT? Ugh, I can’t believe you’re ASKING me for drinks.» The entire time you feel sort of like you entered this guy’s house, plopped on his couch, and made him get up from his comfy armchair to serve you. You sort of feel like whispering«Sorry dude! May I please… um…please have a beer? I’m a little… thirsty…so sorry!!!» Then I made the mistake of asking to try a beer before I ordered it. I’d never heard of it before, so I wanted to check it out before I laid 8 bucks on it. He was SOOOOO pissed. He banged the glass he had in his hand down on the counter, picked up a teeny tasting glass, and poured one drop of foam into it. Then he presented it to me and stomped off. Dude. One cannot taste a beer from one drop of foam. It’s not like you’re losing money from giving me a small sample. Besides, if you really loved beer, you’d be cool with letting people try exciting new ones, and talking to them about it. I downed my beer and headed to the movie, where I saw a couple of other guys who had been sitting at the bar. «What do you think of the service there?» I asked. «Dude!» they said. «The bartender SUCKS! We’re never going there again.» So he’s not just a misogynist. That’s good to know. He doesn’t just hate me, or women, he hates ALL humans. So, if you are a human, don’t go to Pizza Inferno.

How does this place have such low stars? We go here on Thursday nights for trivia. They have a decent beer selection(although they could use more options on the pitchers), the staff is usually super friendly, and I actually really really like their pizza! –NOTE: I really like thin crust pizza. Everyone we take their for trivia enjoys their pizza too, and we take a lot of people. I have had their Caesar, shrimp, and their greek salad and liked them all too. A little on the small side for the price, but the taste was good. Seriously, why such bad reviews? There are a lot of regulars that come here for the trivia nights and they are cool too. We have even joined up on teams before when we were short players. OH and for pizza, I love the vegetarian but the rest of the pack LOVES the diavola(sp?) Maybe some Sf folks are looking for foofoo pizza. I say they are in between The«Pax» place and the E from NY place.

I don’t even have the energy to waste time on a real review of this place. Gruff service combined with meh, food — $ 45+ for 1 salad, 1 beer 1 small pizza. Just seems like they don’t care. I read an article that they had«reinvented themselves about a year ago with a real«piazzaiolo» from Italy — but I’m guessing he is long gone. It was the kind of pizza that was good for the 1st slice, then went downhill fast from there. The bartender/waiter who served our food asked us if we were from out of town, I guess that’s the whole story, locals know to stay away.

Not the best pizza I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst Volunteering at this year’s San Francisco International Film Festival, we had a short break & I was craving pizza… saw Pizza Inferno on the corner & dashed right in Potato Pizza was my choice — tri-colored potatoes, rosemary & cheese The crust was pretty flimsy & while I’ll admit I’m a thick crust-loving girl, I can certainly tolerate a thinner crust if it can stand up on its own — unfortunately this could not But the flavor was okay & there was an abundance of toppings… the potatoes could have used a bit more boiling-time to soften up but again, I’ve had worse Final assessment was that I’d probably pass up this place since there are a plethora of other spots in the area but for a standalone pizza spot, it was pretty okay What was super-impressive however, was their extensive beer menu & this seems like a great spot to enjoy a frosty beverage before a Fillmore event, or a Kabuki movie… so for now, would say 3-Stars due to their pre-event potential

Sat down at the bar in order to watch the NBA All Star game over a few beers. The service was nonexistent. There was a man who looked as if he was doing taxes in one corner of the bar and completely ignoring customers for the most part. Tad bit rude at times to other customers even though I was not on the receiving end he could probably have found nicer ways to say things to people. One star because they had the game on all TVs, another star because they have 24 different beers on tap. I’m not talking Bud Light and Coors Light. Dog Fish Head, Racer 5 and other smaller brewery beers which I enjoy. Okay spot to wet the whistle but don’t expect amazing service.
