Real good we had the Chicken Comet and a few other side dishes. Real good food for the price.

Bland sandwiches and salads but I still come here about twice per month because it is quick and cheap. You get what you pay for.

I’m pretty obsessed with salad and love this place. I wish they had one in LA. I made my own salad and felt the price was pretty fair. It comes with bread on the side which is nice.

I enjoyed this place for high quality lunch food(I got a sandwich, but my wife got a salad). It was just a bit pricy for what we got and amounted to close to a $ 50 lunch for my family of 4.

I love the variety, and that you can pick and choose what you want, and make things healthy.

UH-MAY-ZING! for a good price, the best quick make your own banquet style salad station place in SF. Super nice.

Healthy, quick meal option if you are in the Marina. The layout of the store is a little confusing I feel like the instructions on how to order can be displayed more clearly at the front. The service didn’t help us when we weren’t sure where/how to order either. You go to the very back of the restaurant and pick the ingredients for your own salad and then pay at the cashier before finding a seat. There’s plenty of clean seating inside. First pick your lettuce, salad size, 7 toppings, and then dressing. The ingredients are fresh and the serving size was large for about $ 8. It also comes with a piece of bread. I got a mac & cheese as a side and it was very cheesy and hearty. Overall not the best salad I’ve ever had but good if you’re looking for something healthier.

Meat in my sandwich was raw in the middle, full of gristle and burnt on the outside. The rice crispy they gave to my daughter in the kids meal had no flavor at all. The cheese in her Mac ‘N Cheese tasted like plastic. The ordering setup was a total cluster u kno what. Lame. Don’t see how this place can get 4 stars & Don’t think I’m ever gonna be back.

Remains a solid place for hot meaty sandwiches & mix up your own salads. Saves time because no chopping & shopping for the salad toppings involved. Plus you can change your concoctions to not get bored of salads.

I love Plutos, and have been coming back for years! As an undergrad student at UC Davis, we were spoiled to have a Plutos near campus. They have a different ordering method where you can walk up to the Greens(salad) or the Meats(carvery) station when you’re ready to order. When you first visit this is confusing, and you may be upset that someone is cutting in front of you. The carvery offers comfort foods like Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing etc. to accompany the turkey, steak, and other meat options. They also offer a variety of sandwiches on ciabatta, sourdough with different mayos(try the roasted jalapeño mayo) and cheese options. My favorite is the salad station, you can order spring mix, spinach, or romaine as a base, add chicken(grilled or crispy), steak and up to 8 toppings. You get to choose from about 30 different items from orange segments, roasted sweet potato, feta, corn, edamame… Come here soon, you’ll love it!

Wrong order. Wrong ingredients. 3 times. Super hangry. You fail. Don’t waste your time, money or effort on this establishment. Also, none of the staff speaks English and the language barrier has been used an excuse for not taking orders correctly. Ordered the Specialty salad on the phone(includes marinated tofu). Run to pick it up from store, trusting that they have my order right. Just a box of lettuce, guys. No protein, no veggies, no tofu. I call them, they say come back for your free salad next time. See above. repeat. 3 times. My poor husband picked it up and I told him to double check for the tofu. He mistook the blocks of feta cheese for blocks of tofu and we realized the order was wrong again. No one at the store event understood what we(we even speak basic Spanish!!!), or the customers behind us were ordering. Super disappointed. –Hungry Hungry Pongy

First time there the layout is a little confusing. If you need instructions on the wall to help your customers order food, you’re doing something wrong. The people were completely unhelpful and rude, they made me just want to leave. But I stayed and ordered one of their BBQ chicken sandwich which turned out to be delicious! I still probably wouldn’t return due to the rudeness of the employees.

God I love this place. You get twice the food at half the price, double the speed and none of the pretentiousness as Blue Barn. Also, everything is delicious, from their huge salads to their ridonk onion rings. But my absolute FAV item is their gigantic rice krispy treat. So buttery and marshmallowy. Heaven.

The real deal! Turkey is NOT lunch meat! Thickly carved pieces and very moist. Amazing sandwich! Don’t pass this place up. They have a full on chef made salad bar so you can have what you want in it. When I say there are lots of options to put in your salad you can’t comprehend the MANY choices.

If you want a fresh salad or sandwich, this is a place to go for a quick bite. They have a million things to choose from for your salad. And then if you’re not feeling 100% committed to being healthy, get their onion rings or garlic fries.

Good food of course but I asked for extra chicken there were a total of about 3 pieces. When I brought it back and asked where the chicken was, he used some random fork to dig through my salad to find it. I told him you shouldn’t have to look that hard to find it, and he just said«well it’s in there.» Also gave me mac and cheese that was sitting out for hours. Bottom line avoid coming unless you are craving it.

Cheap, healthy, fresh, delicious, and FAST! Friendly service too! $ 6.50 for a FAT satiating salad that I would probably pay $ 11.00 for at Whole Foods. It’s a no brainer, just do it.

Excellent spot if you ever feel like having a healthy and quick lunch/dinner. Their salads are pretty massive I must say! Don’t be turned off by the so-called«side» salad: it’s big enough to make you feel completely full trust me. Here the concept is pretty simple: you can create your own salad, making it meat free or not, and add up to 8 toppings — which vary on a seasonal basis. Ended up having a greens salad, topped with chicken and veggies — including fresh and delicious avocado. yummmmmmm. One thing though: be sure that the toppings you add aren’t charged $ 1 extra. That is kind of a steal if you ask me. But overall: nice and tasty dinner we had here. So yeah, yum.

Fresh ingredients and wholesome menu items. I enjoyed my salad a lot and also tried some of the mac and cheese which was really good. I did find the ordering somewhat confusing and took a while to figure out the different parts of the menu.

I work in the Presidio, so I come here pretty regularly when I’m in the mood for a walk and a light lunch. Pluto’s is best known for their personalized salads. You get to pick your size(Side or Main — I always get the Side, it is huge enough for a meal), your base(my fave is half spinach/half mixed greens), seven veggie/cheese/nut toppings, a dressing, and a slice of bread… all of that for under $ 8 in the Marina? Yes please. You can add a meat for an extra $ 1 or so. Roast turkey is always a good bet, sometimes I do the crispy chicken to fulfill my fried food craving while eating a salad. Underrated but super good here: their onion rings served with a slight sweet BBQ sauce, so oily, so delicious. I only order that if there’s a couple people to share it with. Solid lunch spot in the Chestnut St. area!
