Breakfast, lunch or dinner, I don’t think you will be disappointed with this place. Having stayed at the hotel attached to the restaurant, one can get a little weary wondering if it will meet expectations. You don’t have to worry about this place. The food, service and atmosphere are all wonderful. The lunch menu is quite nice, not overwhelming as some places can be. They stick to a few items and do them well. One of the main things the restaurant is known for is their fire roasted pizzas. The meal is served with complimentary olive bread. It is a nice starter and gets you hungry for the food to come. The old original tile floors, windows to the street and small bistro type tables made lunch seem more than just eating, but dinning. There was really no rush to get food out so we were able to enjoy our appetizer and our conversation. I like it when waiters leave you alone and let you enjoy the company you are with. The restaurant is easy to find, parking is near and a short walk to Union Square is a perfect way to enjoy and afternoon.

Apropos for SF streets, this place is going downhill. Obsequious service, overpriced and bland food.

Having a delicious meal in San Francisco. The food is wonderful, the view is fantastic and the service is great. Great flavor and very authentic. I’d highly recommend.

Dinner was blah. The appetizers were fine(fig & prosciutto pizza was tasty!), but my entrée of black cod miso was so, so terrible. I couldn’t even eat it! Someone else at the table ordered it as well and she couldn’t eat hers either. Don’t even know how to describe it – just plain nasty. It didn’t sound like the rest of the entrees were much better – the person at my table who ordered the beef bourguignon was up all night sick. Honestly– gross. Especially considering the prices!

Update: 1. This restaurant is now under new ownership. 2. This restaurant no longer serves lunch. 3. The lobster club sandwich is no longer available here. 4. No reason to come here any longer.

Well what can I say, it’s a nice restaurant in the city. Overpriced? Maybe, but what isn’t overpriced in the city? Menu options were limited, but the food certainly is not bad, and the service isn’t bad either. I can’t complain too much as this restaurant IS in a hotel and couldn’t expect anymore or any less from it. Great ambience, fantastic bar, and in a location that makes this place somewhere worth while to stop on by if you want to grab a drink in an upscale place.

Very nice restaurant. Great location. Nice setting. Attractive room. The food had interesting blends of tastes. The ravioli was accompanied by Brussel sprout leaves. You’re a tasty.

Wow, this used to be a great place, but no longer. There were maybe six tables occupied at 7pm on a Wednesday. The waiter was great, but the portions small and the quality just so so. I would wait for the do-over, as that seems inevitable.

If i could give no stars i would. Since the change over, it’s terrible! Don’t waste your time or money. The calories and taste buds are not worth the risk here. It’s a pity that one of the best places in the city, our old«go to» place is OVER, ruined DEAD. YUCK! Bad service, bad food and even the wait staff were getting drunk. Our waitress was telling patrons how happy she was that this was her last week and she was going to a new hot place in the city. Giving out the name and address. TACKY!

I came here for supper while staying at the adjacent hotel. Sat at the bar, ordered a beer and asked for a salad ‘while I figure out the rest’ Got my beer, and got my salad, and never was spoken to again. Bartender was off washing glasses and chatting with coworkers in the mostly-empty bar while my plate and glass sat empty for so long that I got fed up and put out my credit card. That sat untouched for so long I paid in cash, and went elsewhere to finish my meal. On the way out I stopped to tell the guy at the door what happened. I got out«I’m disappointed» before he turned and walked away. Oh, the kale salad wasn’t very good. Just tasted like fish, The beer was fine.

We met up with friends and came here for breakfast . Nice place, very charming and we had a great time. service was a tad slow for the amount of patrons –yet we received good service(just slow) Steak and 2 over easy eggs for me. Steak was tender — eggs were perfect . Lobster scramble with sausage for Mr. Man(i had a taste it was yum) Huevos Rancheros and a Smoked Salmon plate for our breakfast buddies, both looked good to me. Mimosa’s all around followed by decent espresso’s . 3 ½ stars rounded up to 4 because the food was good . 1 star off for the service Our food was well prepared, presented well, and was tasty.

Came here for a 10th anniversary dinner and scored a loft table to watch the parade of pretty people. Other than a long-gone, and much mourned, four-star Michelin rated French restaurant in Cincinnati(the Maisonette), this may be the best service experience yet. Lovely

— — — -BLOOMSPOT OFFER/DINNER DEALONLY — — - I kind of love that when you walk in, the restaurant is in the back, hidden away and a nice change from the hectic noise outside. It’s nice & quiet in here, which is surprising considering the location. Octopus Carpaccio — 3 thinnly sliced pieces. Surprisingly, pretty good! It was really thing so it almost didn’t taste like octopus but loved the combined flavors of everything Pork Belly & Day Boat Scallops — This was okay. Pork Belly was super juicy but it almost tasted like pure fat. Scallops were a little overcooked. Polenta was okay Lamchetta — Lamb shank was cooked pretty well. Really juicy. Overall, the food was okay. Service was okay. Probably wouldn’t come back but it wasn’t a total miss either.

Our general rule of thumb is to not eat at the hotel restaurants. Unfortunately our family decided to do so. I don’t know if the service and the food was so bad since the guest count on the wedding was over 300 people and most of us were staying there so we overwhelmed them or if that’s their standard fair. Given a lot of the reviews, it seems as though its standard fair. I had the french toast and it was bland. They give you maple butter but no syrup… wtf?! Other people had the omelet and that looked good but they said it was only meh. Its sad to say, but the best part of the meal was the bacon and the fruit… oh and the toast because that’s the only thing that they seemed to cook correctly and could get out to us in time.

We dined here since it was in our hotel the Prescott. I went because my husband raved about his Cuban lunch sandwich. We ordered the mac and cheese as an appetizer– this was good. For dinner we had the Bistro Steak– it was rather disappointing and took a long time for dinner to arrive. It was just ok– the potatoes were good. I wasn’t impressed by the steak. If you come here order something else– the pizzas are good– as we tried them in the Club level. So yes pizza and wine is the way to go here, Or for lunch as my husband loved his Cuban sandwich. Would not come back for dinner but liked the atmosphere and would come a glass of wine before heading back to the room.

Food was good, dessert sucked and service was excellent. Carlos was our server, he was super friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. What we had: –Calamari($ 13) — flavors were good but texture was a bit on the rubbery side –Prosciutto fig pizza($ 18) — looked nice and tasted great –Bistro steak($ 24) — steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly –Sea bass special($ 22) — a bit under seasoned but cooked right –Almond lemon panna cotta($ 8) — tasted bad. Reminded me of toothpaste We weren’t happy with the panna cotta but didn’t say anything. Carlos noticed without us saying a word and took it off our bill and apologized to us. He even offered other desserts but we just didn’t have any hope of it being better after we tasted the toothpaste panna cotta. Good place for dinner but skip dessert. All the diners were dressed very casual(jeans). Not sure why Unilocal says it’s dressy.

Wolfgang Puck restaurant Noisy, busy, casual, trendy, and hip, fun, great food, great wine list, pricey. This can get very expensive very fast if you go for BIGWINES.

Two words for you: Salmon. Pizza. You don’t need to read any other part of the menu. Trust me. Go here. Wednesday nights, apparently, they do «pizza night» with a reduced priced– do not be sucked into that siren song, just remember: Salmon Pizza. Imagine a delicate, thin, perfectly woodfired crust, with a light dusting of dill aioli and then COVERTHEENTIRETHINGINSALMON. Add capers and a dollop of caviar. Amen. I tend to sit in the bar. The hotel next door is a Kimpton, so you have a place to which you can stumble should you also succomb to the cocktails.

Very disappointing. Lobster bisque was cold and had the viscosity of water. And there was no lobster. Just lobster juice. If Campbells made canned Lobster Biques, this is what it would taste like. Calamari is hard to mess up but somehow their’s was bland. Major screw up on my order of ribs. We had two at our table order the ribs. Mine came with a side of sauce. Seemed normal to me. But one of my guests had his presented with sauce on the ribs. So I picked at mine for a minute — no big deal, Then the waiter came by and said he got my order mixed up with another table, took it away, then we watched him negotiate my food with the correct person who ordered sauce on the side. And they gave them my picked-at ribs. Then they came back to me and said they would get me my corrected order soon. So I watched everybody else finish their meals waiting for my food. When it arrived, the ribs were red hot — like they just came out of the microwave. But the sides on the dish were room temperature. The ribs were bland and overly fatty. Pathetic. Service was sloppy and rough. Not rude in any way. Just lots of near misses of glasses of water hitting us in the face. Wine glasses not refilled. Missing dishes we ordered. And the like. Pizza ordered was flaccid and bland. Wine selection was OK. But some selections not available. Desert menu weak. Sorbet tasted store bought. Macaroni and Cheese was outstanding. All in all, a hugely disappointing experience. Waste of money and we had to apologize for our guests.

Das Postrio ist ein guter Stopp für zwischendurch. Kleine, übersichtliche Karte, guter Service. Die Vier-Käse-Pizza war okay für amerikanische Verhältnisse, wenn man eine italienische Pizza haben will.
