Unassuming place with pretty good Salvadoran. Ordred a chicken plate and the beans, rice, chicken and everything was really good. The chairs have wheels!

I come here a couple of months ago and the breakfast was delicious, I knew I was going to be back. Today I was doing laundry next door and wanted pupusas a little bit to bad. I order two pupusas revueltas, and I ate one I felt like the cheese was sour and extra cheesy but I kept eating to fulfill my craving. I gave a piece to my bf because we always share food. He spit it right out instantly he then continue to tell me that the cheese was bad. We paid for the food, which I don’t mind because I did eat one and some, which I’m paying my tummy really hurts. I cancel the two too go, thank God they didn’t charge my bf for those. Although I had a good experience before this is a no, no to rotten cheese

Ordered the«(2) Pupusas» option which meant you get to choose your option of 2 pupusas, a side order of beans, a large dollop of sour cream, and fried plantains… all for the price of $ 10. In comparison, a single order of pupusas is $ 2.50−2.75. I ordered the«queso y loroco»(cheese and edible flowers) and«queso y frijoles»(cheese and beans). I much preferred the former, probably because it was about to erupt with the amount of cheese put in there(couldn’t taste the flowers all that much, but they were visible). The side of beans were delicious. Think refried beans, but with much more texture. The place is lovely and lively. I appreciated the side of pickled cabbage that you can munch on before your food arrives. Recommended!

This is the nicest restaurant/bar I’ve been to with great pupusas. I like that they’re very hospitable here with the consistent service. I believe the owners came in and automatically made me feel welcomed. It’s such a homey space and I definitely want to come back to try their other dishes.

A very good friend had been bragging about how good this establishment was. I have been eating real Salvadorean food since I was 4 here in San Francisco my parents were Salvadoreans. So Ive tried every type of pupusa that exists. They are not as easy to make as one would think. I have gone into restaurants that consider themselves Mexican/Salvadorean food and I can tell you Ive never tasted such an absolutely grotesque attempt at Salvadorean food. NEVERAGAIN. This weekend I called and ordered to pick up. Given their limited selection of pupusas I ordered 6 revueltas and 4 chicharon(my girlfriend) only just to try them first time. I was told that it would be done in 15 minutes so I rushed down there and entered at 17 minutes. I sat there patiently in front of a girl in front of the register for a few minutes thinking she was busy and just needed some time to complete her tasks. Almost 5 minutes went by and I decided I might want to alert her to the fact that I was sitting there directly in front of her. Not sure how she could not have known but maybe she was off in a far away land. So it took a little bit to(I speak perfect Spanish) make her understand that I had called her and that I was here to pick up my order. Still not responding I let it go and she finally came around and said my order was not ready. It was more like half hour(close). Here’s the kicker after I had paid she stood around and was putting the receipts away I assume, and I had to ask where my order was. She told me it was on a table behind me which was about 8 feet from where I was sitting. Don’t expect any type of real customer service here. If the food was outstanding maybe we would have to put up with this disrespectful behavior. They obviously don’t need the new customer business. The food was not that good and the price for 10 pupusas was almost $ 30.00. I only came here because my girlfriend had been graving pupusas and Balompies which has the very best pupusas in the land was closed on Monday. Back to the best customer service oriented staff as well!

Great authentic Salvadorean food I recommend this place to everyone! Keep in mind that it does get a little loud.

This place is amazing! Their pupusas are top notch and all their other food is really tasty, too. They treat you like family the moment you walk in the door. I love places like that :) Try the michelada(basically a beer with tomato juice and spices) – you’ll be glad you did.

I am not Salvadorian, but the pupusas here are fantastic and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

I walked into this place, and instinctively waived and said«hola» toward the kitchen. Well, turns out. got the right message walking in, as they didn’t really speak any english at all! Frankly, this makes the ordering more fun, plus you get the authentic feel too. Why travel thousands of miles, when you can experience another country just down the block?(OK, fine, I do prefer to travel, but between funding constraints, work and other obligations. an international trip every week is not really an option.) The food seemed pretty authentic, and was quite affordable. I’m not sure what authentic Pupusas taste like, but whatever they made was fresh and tasty.

Toot-toot, the pupusa train has arrived. Okay, slightly random way to start off this review. But really, Rincon Latino is a great place to go for pupusas especially. They have other menu items as well, such as burritos, special dishes, and popular dishes(well, according to the menu on the signboard). I once had one of their chicken dishes and it was mighty hearty – good enough to share with one, maybe two other people. Anyway, the pupusa info: as their little business announcement says, non-greasy pupusas. Nice, right? The salad served with the pupusas is very fresh and flavorful, and the pupusas have just the right amount of filling. They have specials for each day of the week they’re open, e.g., pupusas for $ 1(minimum order 2?) on Tuesdays. Correct me if I’m wrong with this bit of information… I love the tamarind juice here, even if it is sugary/carbalicious. The service? Warm, friendly, like a family. The place is large, so there’s plenty of space to sit and eat… I guess the times I’ve been here have been off-times for business since there weren’t many other customers around. Wonderful little place; slightly obscure location despite being by busy Geneva/Mission, but hey, it’s best to keep some places secret…

Rincon Latino offers very reasonably-priced South American comfort food along w/very personal service. The pupusas(hand-made corn biscuit-like flat bread stuffed w/cheese &/or meat) are made to order & are top-notch w/excellent texture & not greasy. The Super Burrito con pollo, no cebolla was tasty, but was not as positively impactful as the stuffed pupusas. The Chicharron were nicely charred, but had a tinge of staleness on the outside, but edible nonetheless. Santa’s Unilocaler sez: «Gimme more pupusas!»

I went here for the first time today, and I probably will be going back. The service was wonderful, and the pupusa’s were delicious. Many places make very greasy pupusa’s but Rincon Latino’s were not. I got two Revuelta’s(mixed) pupusa’s and although at other places I usually order two, I can only ever finish one. Today, I ate them both, and I wasn’t really that hungry. The prices were decent, but it is a cash only establishment. That may be the only reason I don’t come back, but it’s a short bus ride from SFSU, and I may get some cash just for the none-greasy, supper yummy pupusas.

Still great here! They’ve been open for quite some time now, and it’s always so empty! Come one come all, hungry people! This Mexican and El Salvadorian place is the perfect place to chill and grab a burrito. The owner is totally friendly and everyone there treats you like family. I beseech you all to try out this wonderful establishment because they’ve got a lot to offer. I personally suggest you guys try the pork papusas. They’ll always be that good.

This place is very spacious and comfy. I went with my friend and we shared 2 pork pupusas(each order comes with 2) and a super steak burrito. I had never heard of pupusas before so I didn’t know what to expect. When it came they looked like round disks. I took a bite and was instantly transported to utopia. It was cheesy, the pork was tender, the outer layer was not soggy, did I mention is was cheesy? The steak burrito was just as good. It’s only been 3 days since this great experience and already I’m ready for my next serving of pupusas!

So I’m eating a chicken burrito that my mom bought from them earlier today. It’s delicious! First thing I noticed is that it’s a very soft and smooth textured burrito. It doesn’t have any hard gritty charred or unevenly cut pieces at all like most places have. The rice is well cooked, not too dry not too soggy, and it looked like they took such care in wrapping the burrito. Wow! They have Pupusas here too, my mom loves those! I think they’re pretty new around here. At $ 4.95 for the burrito it’s pretty good! I can’t say that much more but first impressions count for quite a lot! Let’s see if they’re consistant.
