Rochambeau Playground

The park has a tennis court, basketball courts a clubhouse and two playgrounds.
A bathroom at a city park is a rarity, when you do find it in the city there’s a a great chance there will be homeless man doing his laundry in there. At this park however, away from the riff raff in the city the bathroom is nice and clean.
The two separate playgrounds offer ample play space for kids of all ages. It would be nice if there were more benches facing the playground areas for parents to sit and watch the kids play, there are just enough. There are also only a couple swings.
Overall the cleanliness of the park makes up for anything that could possibly be lacking.
It looks like the clubhouse can be reserved for parties.

This place is very welcoming. When you walk in through the front entrance, there is a sign that says adults must be accompanied by children. Sorry, I do not have a child! But I only come here to play basketball! I promise. I come here often with people to play basketball. At around noon there are always a bunch of kids running around and playing on the basketball courts. They always come with the same adults so I am guessing its an after school program or something.
Usually, if you just start playing basketball on one of the courts, they kids just move out of the way.
This playground has a tennis court, 4 basketball hoops, and 2 sets of play structures. One play structure is for little toddlers, and the other is for young children. The basketball hoops need some repairing. The courts themselves have long cracks running through the ground. The paint is fading too. Fix this please!
Overall, this playground is nice. Parking is fairly easy to find. I will be coming back here!

Rochambeau is a great neighborhood playground that’s perfect if you’ve got a toddler or if you want to throw some hoops yourself — it’s got a little bit of everything for everyone. i can only attest to the playground for toddlers, though, and i come ’round here 2x a week — the kid always has a great time here in the sandbox and the mornings are an especially nice time to go. the PG is clean and well-​maintained — much like the kiddies.

Love this little park!!! They have two separate playgrounds: one is fenced in for the little guys and there’s a nearby play structure for the older kids. There is one tennis court and a few basketball hoops. It’s very rare that I find stray garbage here. An added plus is that the bathroom is clean! I can even say the same about the sand!
Unfortunately, they do enforce the 6pm closure occasionally, which sucks for us working moms that don’t get home until later. I found myself having to leave at 6pm with beautiful weather and nothing to do with my son. But, overall, I absolutely love this park and should I ever move out of my ‘hood, this would be the main thing I would miss!

Nice & New with clean bathrooms & water fountains and good sand– We love this playground!

Totally toddler friendly park with two massive play structures; one for the big kids and one for the littler guys. Both well separated so the big kids don’t mall the littler ones.
My 1.5 year old loves to play on the ship and swings that float in a sea of safe rubber matting. (I have become my mom :-\) There are great sand boxes filled with wonderful sand, almost bead like.
The slides are great too. My son continues to beat down the side slide side-​by-​side.
Be sure to grab a coffee at Angelina’s down street on your way to the park.

5 stars because there’s always a free basket for me to shoot hoops on. Can’t beat that.

I might have been pretty good at bball when I was in 5^th grade, but that’s only because was a whopping 5′ 4 ¾″ in height (still am) back in ’91. Since I now suck, Rochambeau’s remote location makes it a safe haven for me to attempt to shoot some hoops without major embarrassment.
Once I master WiiSports, I’ll come here and make use of their Tennis court as well! Now where can I get my own Wii???
