I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2008. Rock Steady Boxing is the best thing I have done for myself physically and mentally since my diagnosis. It is so good I am willing to get my butt over to SF from Berkeley and start working out at 8:15 in the morning. There is an afternoon class also. Read Kevin K’s review. I can’t say it any better than that. I would add that Kevin and the other«boxers» I work out with inspire me to keep on «fighting».

Rock Steady Boxing SF rocks! I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease(PD) in 2013 and have been trying multiple therapies since to manage my symptoms and optimize life, and they all help, but if I had to pick one as my «silver bullet» therapy of therapies, it is Rock Steady! Coach Kim, Coach Simon, and all the other coaches are great mentors who inspire us to do our best, and have fun at the same time. Their approach hits on all the major challenges of PD, including balance, coordination, strength, response time, and flexibility. The cardio benefits and stress reduction is a great icing on the cake too. It has given me a much-needed fighting spirit to outsmart my PD, and my results have been so good, I’ve given talks at «Quantified Self» meetups about my progress. If you know anybody with PD, send them to Rock Steady, and I promise they’ll be happy they got off their couch!
