Rose is the absolute best. I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for 2 years (previously at a soft waxing studio) and I can tell you that getting a wax with Rose is the least painful and most pleasant experience I’ve had! Will be coming here for as long as I live in SF! P. S. I recommend meter parking on Geary street and walking over as Clement street parking is a hot mess.

I met Rose at the European Wax Center in the Westlake center and had been going to her regularly. When she moved to this location I followed her for a few appointments. She uses hard wax which they also use at EWC which is so much better than strip waxing. It’s just too much of a hassle to drive to this location plus parking is a nightmare around Clement street, which is why I’m rating this place 2 stars.

My best friend referred me to her, and I loved my experience. It was my first time, and she knew exactly how to distract me.
Definitely would recommend going to her!

I had never done any kind of waxing, but came here at a friend’s recommendation. Rose was welcoming, explained the process and technique, and was receptive to my feedback. I ended up doing more waxing than I expected, and overcame a fear that day.
As others have mentioned, the hard waxing is not very painful– in fact it is rather soothing.

This is definitely THE place to go for first time Brazilian waxees! Rose is the perfect esthetician! She talks you through the process and lets you check her progress to make sure you like it. She’s very easy to talk to so there’s no awkwardness at any point in the process! I will definitely be coming here again!

Amazing. Rose is extremely open minded, friendly, and she uses hard wax (i think that means sugar wax… if not, its very similar). Honestly, I’ve been getting Brazillianed since I was in my teens, and this is THE SPOT. 50 bucks in cash with very little pain… I was paying 60 before and I dreaded it every time… now that I know about Rose, she is the only waxing lady I will be visiting in the future. I’ve never been to the European waxing center (s) (average Unilocal stars is 3? No thank you, I’m not putting my waxing jobs at a place where hygiene is a potential risk), but I have had a long-​time waxing lady whom I saw regularly in LA, when I used to live there. It wasn’t until I moved to SF and needed a new waxing lady that I found Rose and realized there was a difference in waxing technique.
If your waxing lady puts wax on you and then puts a piece of fabric on the wax, and rips off the fabric from your skin, that is called soft waxing (what my previous waxing lady used to do, which I thought everyone did).
If you are Rose and she puts wax on you, waits for the wax to harden, and then rips this piece of hardened wax with the wooden stick she used to spread the wax on, that is called hard waxing.
I remember the first time I went to Rose, and being surprised at how much LESS hard wax hurt compared to soft waxing, which is what I’ve had done up until this point. It’s been a while since I’ve gone to Rose now, so now hard wax hurts too (I think my pain tolerance went down since I got used to hard wax). Overall, Rose is the person to go to for all your waxing jobs– if you can find another lady who does hard wax for a great price and is sporadically yet frequently enough available, then that’s fine, but for now I will stay with Rose, she’s great.

Super late on posting this but I remembered because I just booked my second appointment with Rose! :)
I don’t think my pain tolerance is THAT great anymore so instead of going to my regular salon shop and having the lady use regular hot wax, I decided to give Rose a try since I saw that on Unilocal she uses that HARD WAX (THANK GOD). Rose is clean, organized, fast, and affordable! She makes you feel super comfortable and relaxed so ladies, have no fear!!! Come to Rose and she’ll take good care of you!

I can’t say enough good things about Rose and the immaculate waxing job she always does! She’s very neat, precise, and relaxing. Rose is very good at making you feel extremely comfortable, even if it’s your first time she’ll engage you in some conversation the entire time so you’re not focused on your ladybits being ripped off!
I wish her business (which is located in a rented back room of a hair salon on Clement) was a little more centerally located, but it gets the job done.
I’ve never had a negative experience with Rose, she always remembers exactly what I want taken off before we even start!

This was my second time going to Rose for a brazilian and I couldn’t be happier. I have very low pain tolerance and get super anxious… but she makes it as painless and easy as possible! She’s SO sweet and talkative which makes it all bearable. She talks you through the whole process and also takes the time to figure out exactly what you want/​how much you want off, etc…
She is definitely the only person I would go to in the city and I recommend her to anyone!

I had Brazilian wax, eyebrow and lip wax and the results are amazing! The Brazilian wax was superb, not a stray of hair! I also love the hard wax! It’s less painless than the soft wax.
Rose made my eyebrows look even and perfectly shaped for my face!

First-​timers, this is the place to go!
I found Rose through Unilocal and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience! The whole thing lasted around 20 minutes but it felt much shorter because Rose was constantly keeping up a good conversation the entire time. I had a great first experience and I don’t think I’ll look for new places as long as Rose is here.
In short, Rose is very professional and is extremely personable and I would definitely recommend for her for all your waxing needs!

I’ve been going to Rose for waxing for over two years now and I think it’s taken me this long to write a review because I want to keep her all to myself!
I’ll keep it short: Rose makes me look FORWARD to waxing appointments.
She is hands down the best in the city (one I’ve spent 23 years in).
Her prices are fair, the environment spotless, and she is highly skilled at making each experience as time efficient and painless as possible — my brazillian appointments last a mere 20 minutes at most.
On top of her professionalism, she is an absolute joy to be around — always smiling and positive.
None of the fancier salons can compete, so don’t bother with anyone but Rose!
