I was parked across the street from this place and I came back from a restaurant nearby and found my car battery was dead. I walked in here and asked if they could help with a jump start and they immediately did, for FREE! I wish I knew your name but thank you kind sir!

Recently I had some damaged dealt to my car by some idiot who thought it was ok to put some heavy boxes ontop of my car’s hood only to slide it down instead of picking it up… My hood was literally scratched to shit because of that… I had asked around some buddies for some recommendations for repairs and they directed me to this shop. Like a previous reviewer said, it a shop in a hole in the wall place. From talking to the owners, this is a family owned business and they’ve been around for more than 8 years! The office is a bit messy and dusty but it’s expected for this area and it is after all a literal dirty work environment. The staff here are friendly. I met with Tom and his business partner, Simon. Simon didn’t speak much English so I mainly talked to Tom. He assured me they will be able to match the color and it will look great. 3 days later, I came to pick up my car and it was as Tom said, my car looks great once again.
I had a looked through the shop and they repair not only your average Hondas and Toyotas, they repair a wide range of vehicles from your everyday American cars to the expensive German imports.

I am not a car person, but I know a dent when I see one. The parking garage I went to sadly dinged my car. The great news was they offered to cover all the costs to getting it fixed… The bad news was obviously having to get it fixed. They assured me this place was legit. I was skeptical at first since it looks like a tiny hole in the wall (literally) right smack in the middle of a very busy street. Until they introduced me to Tom.
Tom really did cut to the chase. He let me know what they would do and how long it would take. No jargon. No empty promises. Just here is what to expect and this is why I should expect it. He explained that they had to order a part so this is where the time would be spent. Fortunately, with the parking garage and Tom, I got a free rental to avoid any further inconvenience.
I dropped it off on Monday and it should be ready by Thursday. I received no call and then Thursday came. By lunchtime, I was expecting Tom to give me some run-​around as to why the car wasn’t ready. But, to my surprise he called me right at that moment and said it was ready. Did you read me folks?! READY! As in ready when promised. I was so surprised that I automatically assumed that maybe the car wouldn’t be as nice or the job would be so-​so. It’s the pessimist in me. But damn, it looked better than when I left it! They smoothed it out and made it look like new! And, they even vacuumed, washed and polished it. Holy crap, I got a car wash too!
I was so happy and satisfied, I no longer knew how to form sentences and just smiled so big and said «Thank you!»

So a little back story, we went to get an oil change in San Diego 3 months back and the mechanic told us that our bolt was stripped and we may need our oil pan replaced. We went to a second mechanic for a second opinion and they told us it’d be $ 250-​$ 300, ugh. Since we were on vacation, we weren’t able to leave our car there for several days so decided to wait until we were back in SF to get it checked out here. Obviously this meant our oil was way overdue to be changed by the time we came back home to SF.
After we took our car in to S&T and spoke to Tom and his mechanics about our problems and possible issue with our oil pan needing replacing, they took a look. Five minutes later they came back and told us there was absolutely nothing wrong with the bolt or oil pan so they were just going to change the oil for the standard oil change fee.
Wow. We were disgusted at how BOTH of the previous mechanics in San Diego tried to scam us and also EXTREMELY grateful for the honesty here at S&T. I would not hesitate to come back for any other problems we have in the future. Price was also very fair and service was so fast, they changed our oil in what seemed like 15 or 20 minutes as we waited in their office for a diagnosis. They are also very nice and easy to talk to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone else I know. Thanks S&T!
Note: They’re also really busy here (probably for good reason!) so I would call before you drop by to make sure they have space and time for you.

I brought my pastel green Fiat to Tom at S&T auto body after my car has been sideswipe while parking at stripe mall parking lot. Tom was able to give me a reasonable price to repaint the bumper. It took about 1 week for the service to be completed but the job was absolutely superb. My car looks as good as new from the dealership. She was just perfect!!! I couldn’t be more happier with the service. I would not hesitate to bring my car back to Sand T for any future service.

one does not simply get all five stars review for nothing, and this place truly deserve it !!
I had been coming here since they open back in 2005, twice for body work on my old 95 Honda Accord, once for an engine oil leak, and some alignment work, regular maintenance too. I keep coming back because of their reasonable price, great service and professional work.
Regular maintenance normally done really quick, and no schedule is require most of the time, body works would take longer since they’ll take the time to get things right, and the paint they use is really good quality too, and like most body shop they deal with the insurance adjuster and arrange rental car for me to make the repair as painless as possible.

this review is way overdue. I guess we tend to write bad reviews more quickly: o)
I first came to S&T about 3 years ago and have returned at least 4 times due to claims on our family’s cars. The owner Tom goes above and beyond each time with keeping the cost down & getting our cars fixed in a timely manner. They do excellent work and we’ve always been pleased. I have referred friends since & they too have been more than happy with the results.

I woke up early last Saturday to find that some jerk had hit my car so hard the trunk wouldn’t close. So there I was, sitting in my car at 8:30 am, not able to leave it on the street, and nowhere to take it in, since it was early on a Saturday morning. I used Unilocal’s handy «open now» feature” and started calling around. The first couple of places I called were technically open, but didn’t do any work on Saturdays. Not helpful. Then I called S&T — not only were they open, but they said I could bring it in right away and four hours later my trunk was fixed, and for a reasonable price. I’ll definitely be back.

3) If you need parts replaced, call first and they’ll order everything ahead of time if they do not have it in stock
4) Quick– someone thought it’d be fun to whack the side mirror off of my parked car. i brought it in and S&T replaced it in 15 mins.

I had an accident with my accord and took it here. The help me fix my bumper which a person that couldn’t park messed up and a rear quarter panel that was not related to the problem. My car was done quick without a problem.
