Training here at Sessions is outstanding. All of my clients love this facility and how clean it is. They have all modern equipment that you would possibly need. Perfect place to bring your clients if you’re a trainer and if your looking for great trainers this would be a perfect place to look!

I just finished a 20 session package with Anthony at Sessions Training Center and I’m very pleased with the results. When I started in August I was a heavy 154 lbs with 22.5% body fat. After finishing 20 sessions with Anthony over the course of 4 months I now weigh in at a lean 142 lbs with 18% body fat and dropping.
I can’t speak for the other trainers at Sessions, but If you are able to work with Anthony you will be in good hands! From the get go Anthony made a strong effort to understand my current health situation and my fitness goals and tailored my workouts accordingly. He was always sure to keep the workouts varied, interesting, and appropriate for my fitness level. He also kept feeding me useful fitness and nutrition tips throughout so that I was constantly learning.
The facility itself is very nice. It is always spotlessly clean, has sufficient lockers/​restrooms/​showers and has a wide array of workout equipment that are all in great condition. The center was rarely crowded when I was there, but even if there were other people the trainers are careful to coordinate so that you will always get a great workout in.
While personal training is never cheap, Anthony’s prices are very competitive. When I look at my before and after photos there is not a doubt in my mind that it was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. If you’re looking to get into better shape (it’s never too late!) you can’t go wrong here.

Sessions is a great place to work out! My trainer Anthony is the best trainer I’ve had. And I’ve had several, especially at 24 Hour. He is very nice and comes with tons of experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is flexible, works with you with your schedule, and pushes you to get the most out of each session.

For the longest time I have never really been in great shape… When I found out my uncle opened up his very own personal training facility I needed to come see what all the fuss was about.
Approaching more years in the fitness industry than I have fingers on my hands and toes, Lauro knows what it takes to get you in the shape that you want to be in. Whether it is leaning out, bulking up, increasing mobility or just hopping back on the wagon, he is sure to get you there safely and efficiently!
Learning under Lauro’s wing, his son Anthony is just as helpful and attentive to your fitness needs. I’ve trained with Anthony longer than my time with Lauro and I am nothing short of impressed at his capabilities this early in his training career. With a steady training/​nutrition schedule, deep insight into body mechanics, and open mindset, Anthony was able to not only get me to my personal fitness goals, but excel beyond them. The motivation from his training has helped me overcome a lot of my own fitness weaknesses, which keeps me visiting the gym on a regular basis to this day.
I highly recommend giving Sessions a call and scheduling an assessment as soon as possible! No matter what your fitness needs are they can and will find a way to get you there.

As a GORGEOUS individual who my appearance means EVERYTHING 2 me and as LAZY as i am, i would have 2 say Anthony D is the PERFECT trainer.
I was upfront and honest to him when i 1^st came in about what my goals are and what i want from his expertise, yet explaining to him i don’t want 2 change anything about my life n how i live it, whether it be the way i eat, how much exercise or how much i drink n i do drink n get my party on, Anthony was able 2 put 2gether the PERFECT training exercise routine that keeps me in tip top shape.
Hes really easy going, n when the going gets tough he knows how 2 get me out of my «i can’t do no more, i’m in pain state «n keeps me motivated n pushes me 2 keep pushing thru. I work out with him 3 days a week and its the BEST thing i have done 4 myself n i feel GREAT. I have lots on energy and never knew what my body was cable of until Anthony worked his magic with his EXPERTISE…
The Sessions training center itself is very clean n all the machines are in tip top working shape. Everyone is friendly there and the thing i LUV most is its a private gym so its never packed 2 the point where i feel uncomfortable because everyone who’s there is there 2 work out n ikeeps their own focus. I use 2 spend lots of money on useless gym memberships and never got any results.
TRUST me its worth it 2 just do it RIGHT and find yourself a perfect trainer «Anthony D» and get the results U want faster n more efficiently and feel better about yourself when immediately U will see results. I just re-​newed with Anthony D with a new 30 sessions package to continue with my workout to absolute PERFECTION…

a life time ago, i was in some sort of shape before. ive tried many times with varying degrees of success to get back into shape.
nothing really stuck and nothing really kept me interested.
even though ive tried personal training a few times, i never thought i would be a fan of it, nor did i think i would be writing a review encouraging people to try out a specific personal trainer.
the better half trained with anthony and suggested i give it a shot.
im very happy i did.
he provided the structure and knowledge i needed to get on the right path.
ive only had a handful of sessions with anthony, but im loving it.
other personal trainers have been part time workers bouncing around from big corporate gym to big corporate gym, with no other motivation than a spiff (commission) to help me out on my journey. others were filling up their time between classes at sfsu. (nothing wrong with that, but not right for my needs for a personal trainer)
hes pretty damn knowledgeable for a young man. hes been through the struggle. he was overweight and fought his way back into shape. he caters the workouts to fit you, adjusts things so youre motivated and never lazy. hes got me doing things i never thought i could do again so soon. hes been pushing me to do things im totally capable of doing, but too lazy to do myself.
i see results, im motivated to get more results and im happy to go to each and every training session, so much so, i adjust my workout days (and the day before) to prep for the workouts. i look better and i feel better. i have more energy and kick ass more with my day to day task. i feel stronger.
the gym itself is clean, modern and straight to the point.
only if i found this place a few years ago.

GREAT GREAT GREAT facility! As a trainer, it’s important to not only have a primo location, but, having the right tools helps with client retention. Sessions is armed with tons of Sports Performance specific equipment which really benefits my clients! My clients are really impressed when they walk in the door and very happy to train there. And, I’m totally impressed with Lauro’s dedication to giving his trainers a place that’s just awesome to be in — he’s thought of everything — easy access, ease of scheduling, nice towels, clean and up to date bathrooms and even crowd control to avoid too many people training at once (:

As a Personal Fitness Trainer myself, I have very high expectations of a facility to train out of. This place has it all. From functional training to TRX. From cables to Hammer Strength. If your looking for a great space to train your clients in a ultra clean facility this is it. Private showers & day lockers. Super soft towels for showering & sweating included. Ease of entry/​check in with a key card/​FOB system means clients & trainers only. Check this place out and make it yours.

I’ve been training with Chris for about six months now with great results. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. Our sessions are consistently challenging; the routines are always varied, never boring; and to be honest, it’s an hour I look forward to each time! Chris is able to motivate me and counsel me on my food and exercise choices, without making me feel «guilty» when I lapse into less healthy pursuits. He’s also very flexible in accommodating a schedule change whenever he is able to do so, which I’ve had to take advantage of on more than one occasion and appreciate immensely.
I found Chris via FitSF, and I train with him at the Sessions Training Center on Market and Laguna. The space at Sessions is ideal for me, as I’m easily turned off from working out by a mass of sweaty exercise-​goers. Sessions provides cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights, as well as a number of other exercise tools, including TRX, balance balls, kettle bells, and more. The space is clean, the music is good, and the other trainers are always friendly.

This is a great facility — I have only trained at the larger gyms, and this is a very nice change — very personalized, individual showers, and a well lit interior. I’ve been training with Jayson Lindsey, who is an awesome trainer. I never thought I would want to lift weights, because i thought I would bulk up, but that is not the case at all. I’ve gone down a few pants sizes, and am much, much stronger. I used to have knee and back pain — gone.
Jayson is a competitive weight lifter, knows kinesiology extremely well, and is a very attentive trainer. You’re not going to find a better trainer to help you gain strength, slim down, and heal from injuries or chronic pain.

Sessions is by far the best training facility I’ve used in the city. I’ve tried other private training locations as well as big gyms like 24 and Crunch and Sessions by far has the best/​newest equipment, clean facility, and overall positive environment focused towards helping you achieve your goals.
I’ve been training with Jayson Lindsey for almost 3 years and wouldn’t think about going anywhere else. I’ve lost 45 pounds, have kept it off, and am still losing weight. The workouts are challenging and always changing so that my body doesn’t adapt.
I go to Jayson because he himself is a power lifter and offers what most trainers cannot — a deep understanding of strength training from experience. Not to toot my own horn but Jayson has had me dead lifting over 250 lbs and squatting over 125lbs — all with excellent form, injury free, and fun in the process.
Jayson has well met and exceeded my expectations, the first day I told him I hated cardio and he has been perfect in helping me attain my goals and work around (most) of my dislikes. If you’re even hesitant of giving him a try I highly encourage going for at least one session, you’ll get an intense workout and feeling of accomplishment that will keep you coming back.

I’ve been going to sessions for nearly one year with my trainer Peggy Walton. I left Golds with Peggy to go to sessions. The facility is top notch. The equipment is nearly new and high quality, unlike some «bring your own trainer» facilities. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. No blaring music or other disturbing sounds. Staff is welcoming and helpful. I am 70 years old with the usual difficulties. Peggy is expert in programs for my age group and at sessions I never feel out of place, since there are patrons of all ages. I recommend sessions to anyone who wants a really personal relationship with a trainer in a near perfect location.

I’ve been working out here about a month and I’ve been very happy. I am female in my early thirties and am new to weight training. Lauro is supportive without taking it easy on me. I appreciate his measured approach to our sessions. I would recommend him to anyone, but especially folks just starting out that might get discouraged easily. He is very knowledgeable and patient. I imagine the other trainers are also good, but I haven’t had any experience training with anyone else there.

Any ways I am still working out at Sessions and my experience over the last 7 months has been AMAZING!!! I am down 3 pant sizes and feeling stronger and healthier then I have ever felt. This means a lot considering I’ve done boot camps and have seen about 5 other personal trainers over the last 3 years and none have been as amazing & knowledgeable as Lauro. He shows a genuine interest in helping me meet my training and health goals and he has an uncanny ability to tell when I am trying to distract from my workout and helps me stay focused. The space at Sessions is clean, bright and equipped with some of the latest workout machines. After several sessions, I still look forward to each one — unusual for me as I usually loathe and am completely bored by going to the gym. Each session has been challenging and interesting. So, when was the last time you felt like you got your more than your money’s worth? I’m lucky. I can say it. And that’s because I’ve been training with Lauro at Sessions. Over the past 7 months I have gotten more than my money’s worth. I’ve gotten fit and I feel fantastic. I wrote a review when I first started training. It was positive then. Today it s glowing. I’m 20+ pounds lighter, in shape and still look forward to going to Lauro’s training studio every week. I have more energy now than I did in my 20’s.
If you are considering training, please don’t even think about going anywhere but Sessions. All of Lauro’s trainers are kind, supportive, dedicated and educated. They are true professionals. Do yourself a favor — go there, try it out, train and enjoy the ride.

This is a very nice, clean, and has top notch equipment! I was very impressed.

I have been working out at Sessions with my trainer, Chris Bettencourt, for a few months now. I can’t say enough good things about the place. The entire facility is brand new, from the equipment to the furniture. This means that everything is in excellent shape. It is clear that the owner, Lauro has taken a lot of pride and effort in designing the gym and making it the best facility of its kind. He is almost always there to greet you with a smile and hand you a towel. He has good music playing and keeps the place in great shape. There is a private shower to use after your workout that is nicer than the ones most people have in their homes. The location is really convenient whether you are driving or taking Muni. When I drive, I always seem to find parking within two blocks of the gym. The friendly, welcoming mood of Sessions is the best on its long list of positive features. Since this is a gym meant for people that are working with a trainer, there is never a crowd or wait for equipment. If you have a trainer, get him or her to check into Sessions. If you are looking for a trainer, Lauro can help with that, too.

Eric, one of the trainers there is great! He cares alot about how you do and will find creative ways to help attain your goal! This gym is new and very clean! Each time I have come here, it is kept immaculate.
I have been working with Eric for years and he keeps me from getting any bigger. I am always toned with the occasional extra skin here and there.

This is the cleanest, most updated fitness center i have ever been to in the past 8 years of working out. All the equipment here is top notch. The space is sparkling clean and maintained that way.
Trainer/​owner Lauro is absolutely dedicated to his profession and has been the most honest trainer i have dealt with. If you have had experience with personal trainers and packages in gyms like 24, you know exactly what I’m talking about. He is a trainer dedicated to the health & fitness goals of his clients and not a salesman. I worked out with him for a short while and followed his advice and definitely had noticeable improvements in my physique.
I have met another trainer at this facility Rick who is also very knowledgeable and dedicated to his profession. I have not had a chance to work out with him yet.
All in all if you want to make a serious investment in your health, visit sessions. There will be a specific trainer & a package that they will work out for you to match your budget and fitness goals.
