I tried the classic milk black tea and it was ok. I asked for 50% sweet but the drink was way sweeter! The staff were nice and I like how you actually can taste the tea but it tasted more like tea and lots of sugar.

Amazing bubble tea and really worth $ 5! I got the mango green tea with Boba and it was so refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. They do not skimp on the Boba either, which is always a plus for me.

Place is always packed on weekends(long line to order, huge crowd of people waiting for their order) but alright, it’s pretty damn good. I just ordered their Hokkaido milk tea and damn it was pretty delicious. If I was in the area and not in a rush, I’d prob get boba here again. Not cheap boba but I don’t really think«cheap» boba exists anymore. No more 99 cent or $ 1.99 milk tea :(but this place is solid

Bubbles tea is on the expensive side($ 5 for milk tea and $ 6.75 for ice slush, and an extra $ 0.50 for any toppings), but the drink itself is well-made. I got a red bean matcha milk tea which was matcha flavored tea with real red beans at the bottom. It was quite tasty although a bit in the sweet side. If you check in on Unilocal, you get an egg pudding topping for free. The location is inside a giant center with a lot of other restaurants/little stores, and there is no sitting. Definitely a grab-and-go type of place.

Overall I’m a big fan of Sharetea and have visited their locations in the Richmond and in the East Bay(San Ramon.) I usually end up getting their Ginger milk tea, less sweet with boba and it’s consistently flavorful. The boba is the perfect consistency in my book and service is usually friendly and quick. This location at the Metreon gets crazy busy! Between the line and actually getting me drink it was nearly a 30 minute transaction. Good thing there’s plenty of people watching nearby-the time went fast. I make it a point to come here when I’m in the area. Nearby Yerba Buena gardens is the perfect spot to enjoy your Sharetea drink treat. Worth the wait and oh so yummy.

Convenient location in the Metreon. I’ve been here twice in the past week, tried the Taro Milk Tea as well as the Okinawa Milk Tea. The boba here is good, and the drinks are solid. Nothing out of the ordinary, but solid. My only complaint would be that the drinks are quite pricey, around $ 5 a drink. I’m from the San Gabriel Valley where cheap good boba is plentiful, so that was a bit of a disappointment.

I LOVE this place! My favorites are the Coffee ice blend with ice cream blended and pearls, Mango Creama Tea with pearls &30% ice, and Okinawa Milk Tea with Pearls &30% ice! Yum yum!

The classic milk tea at 50% sugar with tapioca is the second best bubble tea I’ve had ANYWHERE, and that includes in Asia. The bobaristas are nice, especially because this location is often very crowded. Prices are reasonable considering that a cup is huge!

We order sharetea online, but the delivery fee gets kinda pricey. My go to is always Almond milk tea + egg pudding, but at Sharetea it’s Almond Oat milk tea(+ egg pudding, less sugar). If you don’t like oatmeal consistency, don’t get this, but if you’re like me and eat overnight oats everyday, you’ll love it. It’s basically the evil upgrade because it’s not healthy and in drink form. YAM.

EPICFAIL — this place actually charged me an extra $ 0.25 to have no ice. How much more tea could they have given me to have charged me for this option? Does this mean that they admit they are ripping off the people who get a regular amount of ice? Should those people get a discount then because their drink is filled up with mostly ice? This is the second Sharetea I’ve been to in the Bay Area. The store in San Leandro gives you the option to choose the amount of ice or no ice with no extra charge. The line was long but I figured it wouldn’t be too bad because it was moving quickly. The wait was ridiculous. 20min is way too long to wait for a milk tea. These guys should increase the staff and add another register for orders if they know they are this busy. Someone ordered like 8 drinks right before me which I imagine happens quite often since this location is surrounded by office buildings with workers. The milk tea was good and pearls were chewy. Quality is definite up to the normal Sharetea standards but I do not plan on coming back here again.

Sharetea in general is one of my faves. The tiny location on the ground floor of the Metreon is convenient before or after a movie. Drink quality overall is consistent with other branches, but there are some disadvantages for this particular location: 1. Its pretty easy to order the drinks, but expect to wait a while to get it since they have a numbering system. It’ll force you to congregate around the area until your number pops up — so imagine when its busy and they have a backlog. 2. They quickly run out of napkins, which is a minor annoyance. Makes me feel bad to borrow a few from the other food places nearby and hurt their bottom line. Still, a good place overall to quench your thirst after a movie on a hot day. Just be prepared to exercise some patience!

I made the worst mistake of my life. Doing the free check in for the glass jelly. It completely ruins the drink by making it super sweet and contaminating the flavor. I got coffee milk tea(which was recommended) at 70% but it tasted like pure sugar with no coffee. I got it remade with 25% sugar which was a little better but still way too sweet. I usually get the basic almond or taro milk tea which is good, but beware of the free glass jelly!

This is my default boba spot because of sheer convenience. it’s in the Metreon AND you can place orders using the OrderAhead app. I basically get a boba here every time I’m in the area. Running an errand at Target? Boba. Watching a movie? Boba. Shopping in Westfield? Boba. Lunch at Freshroll? Boba. Yes, I have an addiction. I admit it. I order: — Okinawa Milk Tea — This is my DEFAULT because its so dang good. I get it with less ice and 80% sugar. Perfecto! They have really mastered tapioca balls at this Sharetea. not gonna lie, they are ALWAYS perfect. — Fresh Taro Milk Tea — This flavor isn’t for everyone… the fresh taro is kind of gritty, so some people might think it’s kind of sandy, but I love the taste of taro! — Happy Family QQ — Calorie splurge because they put EVERYTHING in this drink. like 6 types of toppings, it’s just a boba topping fiesta in one cup. Grass jelly, lychee jelly, boba, pudding, red bean. it’s literally everything. I like this one every so often, but also don’t recommend this for everyone. Helpful Tip: The OrderAhead App usually says pick-up is in 25 minutes(even when there is no line), so make sure you’ve got your timing figured out and order earlier rather than later. I also haven’t gotten my order within 25 minutes either. they usually finish around 30 – 40 minutes. SO, if you are trying to catch a movie in 15 minutes, you should probably take your chances and scope out the line.

For being the only Boba place in the area it is going to be the default place if people want to go to get some Boba. I would have given it 4 stars but here I go. –1 because I don’t like how they expedite orders. Just feels inefficient somehow there’s always a big back up. Can we please have the number show up or something somewhere. I like how Melt does it where it shows that it’s being made already.

I can understand the hype of this place. I was sort of skeptical at first because there was a fairly large amount of people waiting in line and for their drinks, but I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. SERVICE: line moved fairly quickly. They seemed somewhat understaffed in the back since there were times when the line of people would be super long. But there were 2 – 3 people standing behind the girl at the register just looking around… Got our drinks in good time though. DRINKS: + coffee milk tea: I asked for it to be unsweetened, and it was still pretty sweet! I loved the coffee flavor though — it was a good way to get my caffeine and milk tea fix in one. I added ice jelly(FREE with check-in!) and it had a good flavor and squishy texture. It was chewy but not as much as aloe. ~ QQ happy family milk tea: not sure how I feel about this one… It’s basically milk tea with A TON of diff toppings added. It sounds good until you realize you have the textures of soft pudding, chewy boba and jelly, AND mushy red bean all in one mouthful. The taste was alright, but the textures just threw me off. I’d like to try their other drinks. Just not when there’s a huge line of people…

Well, what can I say about sharetea, It’s probably my favorite go to bubble tea spot. When I went there they were running a pretty cool deal, if you brought 2 drinks and 1 of them being a sesame or almond drink, you get a scratcher with a few prizes you could win. Kind of a cool promo eh? Anyways we ordered the qq, which is basically bubble tea with all the toppings and a hot almond tea. The qq sounds like a crazy idea but it was soooo good, no boba complaints here it was cooked perfectly, even though I got 80% sweetness it was still pretty sweet, also I was really clear that I wanterd very little ice and 1⁄3rd of my cup was filled with ice :(. The hot almond tea was exquisite, it even had almond pieces in it. Can’t wait to come back here and redeem the prize I won on my scratcher.

I was BEYOND ecstatic when I found out that a Sharetea was opening in the Metreon. I’ve had boba milk tea from this chain from all over the bay area and so far their drinks have been pretty consistent for me. Because of this, Sharetea is one of my favorite boba brands in Northern California :) I am a huge fan of the classic green milk tea with boba, and Sharetea does this drink justice. Located very conveniently inside the Metreon(across from the AMC movie ticket counters & Inay filipino food), Sharetea makes boba easily accessible to everyone in my office. I came here tooo often when they first opened earlier this year. The lines can get long during lunch & dinner hours, but the workers there are pretty quick. I also love that you can choose your level of sweetness at Sharetea –I always try to go for the 80% to bring out more of the tea flavor and make it less sweet. 50% is great if you want to appreciate more of the tea flavor. I’ve tried their fruit, non-milk flavored teas(peach green milk tea or mango green milk tea) and those are also delicious and refreshing. Lastly, sign up for a five star rewards account. Every drink gives you 1 point and every 12 points gets you a free drink :)

Definitely not my favorite bubble tea place in the city — there are much better options for sure. The variety of drinks isn’t super extensive, and I’ve found the prices here to be much higher than other, better quality boba places in the neighboring area. Sign up for the rewards program for some savings, but still, the prices are much higher than usual. The ingredients do seem pretty fresh(I believe they do use fresh tea and other ingredients instead of powder to make their teas), but the flavors and toppings are just so average. Nothing unique or out of the ordinary — bubbles, jelly, pudding. You can change sweetness and ice levels, but that’s becoming pretty standard in all bubble tea places. I’ve tried the matcha milk tea with red bean, green milk tea, and the winter melon milk tea with ice cream. All three were good, but not spectacular.(I don’t recommend adding ice cream to your drink though… it makes the drinks WAY too sweet). The matcha milk tea tasted a little powdery, but the green milk tea was pretty decent and tasted fresh with actual green tea flavor. Overall, nothing too special about Sharetea. If you don’t have time to walk over to Chinatown, Sharetea will do, but I’d much rather prefer another place!

This place was difficult to find if you’re not familiar with San Francisco. I went here with a friend and we got lost the first time. We finally found it and went in line. We waited for about 5 minutes until we got to the register to order our drinks. I played it safe and ordered the mango green tea, which and my usual, and I was not disappointed at all. I would say that this place had one of the best mango green tea with boba I’ve ever had and it’s something I highly suggest getting. If you have time, go towards the back and sit in the Yerba Buena Garden and relax.
