Looking at the other review, I felt obliged to give a review about Style Sensation. I’ve been coming here since I was 7~, and even though I’m all the way in socal for school, I make a point to come back at least once a month to get a haircut from Maria.
She is predictable, which is something that is undervalued nowadays. I rarely have to wait, and her prices are fair.

Walnut Creek, CA
This is a one woman shop, with a dedicated clientelle. Maria is excellent at hair cuts at a fair price.
And when I say her clients are dedicated, I mean that I know one woman who lived in SF for years and then moved to Seattle BUT she would STILL fly back to SF for her perms for years afterwards (in recent years, this client has changed her hairstyle and I don’t think this client still visits SS). I know another guy who lives and works in Walnut Creek but will drive into the heart of the Richmond District for his haircuts (and if he doesn’t have the time, he will just become scruffy). Yes, the guy in the above story is my husband.
Sigh, scruffy is not sexy.
