Good sandwiches, good service, prices on par with other similar sandwich shops. They offer the Sub card which is alway incentive to keep going back. I rarely eat sandwiches anymore so it will take me a while to get my card filled but I like that this place is close to where usually working. Noticed today they have pour over coffee which I will have to go back and try. Also nice to see they have Mitchell’s ice cream should I need a fix. I thought they used to use Zoe’s Meats pastrami but I’m not anymore.

Always get the Matt Cane on Dutch Crunch bread. It is great. Have been here many times and the sandwiches are big and really fill you up. A great place for lunch on the weekend, and on a major corner in Noe Valley, the best neighborhood in San Francisco.

We love Subs Inc. Because of the signature toasted sandwiches. Roast beef with a toasted Dutch Crunch bun with the ‘works’, there’s no better. They also have eggplant for veggies! And, the Mitchell’s ice cream and specially chips and sodas makes the menu just right.

Best subs in SF. Hands down. I pride myself on sampling deli, and rest assured this place does not disappoint.

That’ll do pig. That’ll do. Nothing to write home to mama about, but it certainly does the trick. Pretty good everything, both food wise and price wise. I wouldn’t go here if I need to be wow’d. I’d go here if I didn’t want to be disappointed.

This place is the bomb. 6 inch sub is huge and looks more like 12 inches. All ingredients are fresh and tasty. Subs are toasted to perfection.

Great spot, had the oven toasted turkey/bacon/avocado and it was amazing. Portions are generous — took half my sandwich back for dinner. Staff is friendly and it wasn’t too crowded during lunch time. One of my favorite sandwich spots in the city now!

I’ve literally had better subs at subway. Came in for lunch and wanted a meatball sub and they were out of meatballs and the bread I wanted. I was fine with that but then the second sub I wanted that the guy recommended which was the pastrami was out and I was offered no discount. I finally got a roast beef and it took 20 minutes to make and I was late for my next appointment and I was never offered even a small discount. This place stressed me out and I will not be coming back unless they change their ways.

Heavenly. You’d never guess magic was happening in this brightly lit, corner store in Noe Valley. Before discovering Subs, Inc. I wasn’t a big fan of subs & sandwiches. I’m a convert — very glad I found this place. The menu is extensive, everything is fresh. There are a lot of healthy options. Vast array of vegetables, condiments and often, the owner Rami, creates homemade sauces. His garlic spreads are my favorite, actually the homemade cranberry relish is delicious too! The bread. Oh, the bread. Wow. Good on its own. I love this place. The portions are also immense, these guys don’t skimp nor mess around when making food. Artists. We have these for lunch, dinner or grab a couple to take on hikes or picnics. Mitchell’s ice cream is available, as well as homemade chocolate chip cookies. So good. Go try it out.

This place is just wow! I am generally not a fan of subs/sandwich, but I tried the roast chicken sandwich and I loved it. All ingredients are at the right proportion, the more u eat the more u enjoy it. I would sure visit this place again and try everything they offer.

Best sandwich/sub I’ve had in a long time! This place doesn’t impress from the outside, I went there as I was getting seriously hungry and wanted to try a new place in Noe. What a fantastic surprise! I will go there again for sure. I still need to try other places in SF but this might well be my ‘best sub in SF’.

I like this place! I have only been there once but the service was good and it’s a casual place for an easy walk-in. I tried the Mozzarella Basil sandwich with Whole Wheat bread. I loved it. It’s pretty big and the bread is super soft and fresh. I Recommend it!

Work led me to the Noe Valley area of San Francisco but belly delivered me here to this damn tasty little sub shop. They have all the standard deli meats, breads and condiments and about 8 signature subs. Matt Cain is a friend of the joint and has a sub named after him and his picture on the wall and apparently lives close by. As much as I love the Giants belly wanted Pastrami. Went with the Pastrami Rami on Dutch Crunch. They toast the sub and mine came with Swiss, cole slaw and 1000 island. The oven toasting really softens the Dutch crunch nicely and all the flavors make for a wonderful bite. The pastrami is wonderfully salty and a step above store bought. Highly recommend!

Great tasting subs! I personally could not find a better place in the area that could deliver great tasting and large subs like Subs Inc. It beats all the other sandwich places nearby. I usually order the Godfather or Matt Cain. It comes packed with meat and the sub is hot and crispy. I like how they toast all your subs and they come out hot. I don’t think upgrading to large is that much worth it, because the subs are pretty big anyways. Never got a chance to try the ice cream, but kids seem to order it a lot! I also like how you can order it online through DoorDash, so you don’t have to go to the store to pick it up. My go-to place for a sandwich craving!

Jamie W. and I don’t make it to Noe Valley much. We love the neighborhood, but from where we are in SoMa, it always seems a tad more of a trek than our lazy derrieres are willing to handle although it’s admittedly a simple J-ride away. That myopic attitude has been modified recently by this unassuming sandwich shop on the corner of 24th and Castro. Now sandwich shops are a dime a dozen, and I do go to Subway every now and then to get my BMT fix. However, a really well made sandwich is gold, especially in Jamie’s book since he is a connoisseur of sorts. We finally gave it a try a couple of months ago late on a Saturday when we weren’t feeling like a fine dining experience. Which is often, by the way. There are about a couple of dozen sandwiches on their chalkboard and then several options of toppings and such after that. I was facing that Starbucks conundrum of making six decisions in quick succession and hoping for the best. I did good as I ordered the $ 8.25 Mortadella with Provolone on Dutch Crunch. I got it with the works: mustard, plenty of mayo, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion and Italian herb sauce(photo: ). Now that was a sandwich. No art but so satisfying. Jamie went with the $ 8 Italiano with salami and ham on Dutch Crunch(photo: ). Same extras as me and just as tasty. They don’t offer fries, but we really didn’t need them. We entertained the possibility of a scoop of Mitchell’s ice cream since they offer it, but sound judgment won us over after all. We returned just this past weekend, although truth be told, Jamie went on his own a couple of times in between without me. He has become obsessed with the Large $ 11.25 Godfather, which offers the triple play of turkey, corned beef and pastrami, this time on a sourdough bun with the works including pepperoncinis(photo: ). I decided to try the $ 8 San Franciscan with roast beef and turkey on Dutch Crunch, again with the works(photo: ). I figured out it’s the way they toast the bread that really makes it tasty as the rest of the ingredients are fairly standard-issue when I closely examined what I was chewing. They’ve really figured out something here that makes me think of this place in the same thought bubble as Lou’s Café, The Yellow Submarine or Roxie Food Center. That’s not a bad thought bubble to share if you ask me. And you did ask me, right? FOOD — 4 stars… satisfying sandwiches lies in the execution with the bread perfectly toasted AMBIANCE — 3 stars… it is a sandwich shop after all SERVICE — 4 stars… quick but amiable sandwich makers TOTAL — 4 stars… finally a food destination in Noe Valley we can rally behind without emptying out an ATM

Nice but small place. Toasting on frenchbread was perfect. Good amount of meat as well. It is expensive 10 bucks for a regular sandwich adding cheese. But worthy sandwiches.

I got the Mozzarella Basil sammich. Let me just say that the sammich is good but the bread I got is too toasted. I was so excited to try a new sammich shop in Noe Valley as I live super close in walking distance here. The store was really hot though today was very hot as well. Anyways, I ordered the Dutch Crunch bread which I love so much since I am not a native SFer. The bread is a bit burnt and really hard on the edges. The way the bread is would cut the roof of your mouth. I do not recommend the Dutch crunch bread at all so don’t waste your time ordering it. The sammich price is $ 8 bucks which is kinda pricey for a ‘regular’ but I forgot that Noe Valley is a bit more pricey like downtown SF. The guy who took my order was kind and the place kinda got busy after I ordered. I’m not a fan of how small space the layout is to get in and out and the ice cream flavors looked good. I would probably visit again but totally order different bread for sure. I’m so bummed that the bread is blehhh but I am glad I tried this place.

«The Best Subs In Town» — that’s what Subs put on their big yellow store sign. Whoever thought of this marketing campaign must be pretty confident about the quality of their food before putting up such a bold statement. While I haven’t tried all sandwiches places in the city yet — I would say their subs are indeed pretty legit. Placed a phone order before I went — when I arrived the sub was there already, and smooth checkout process. [Pastrami Rami(large with dutch crunch bead)] — A– «Pastrami, swiss, cole slaw, pickles, thousand island dressing» — this is the description on menu. Pretty generous on the amount of pastrami they put in; swiss was nicely melted and added some good smell to the sub. Thousand island and cole slaw enhanced each other’s taste, and the sub as a whole was pretty juicy which I loved. Dutch Crunch bread was as good as it sounds. Pretty nicely done! I can’t give 5 stars to a restaurant who claims themselves to be the best in town based on one sub I tried. So 4 stars for now; next time I need to try their Godfather sub which I heard it’s one of their signature subs. Until next time!
