Superstar

A nicely-​organized store that has a lot of witty t-​shirts and a pretty good selection of cheap sunglasses.
The t-​shirts are the type with lots of dirty things you would find at random tourist stores, but I must say that the selection was quite good… I got a laugh at most of the tees. The sunglasses were similar to your usual cheap sunglasses stands, but I must say that they were very well organized according to style, so it was really easy to find the sunglasses that you were looking for. All of them were pretty good — the owner did a good job filtering out the crap.
I guess Haight-​Ashbury generally has more hipster shops, and Superstar’s touristy material might not fit in, but the presentation and price of Superstar gives it a solid four star.

Popped in after a thrifting trip into a cute Asian-​like eyeglasses boutique store.
One thing I really loved was the «Buy 2, Get 1 Free» deal. Each pair costs $ 10 by itself; with the deal, it’s around $ 7 – 8!
Plus, they have a HUGE assortment of colors and shades, so there’s definitely a great enough selection for everyone! I picked up the cute Hello Kitty shades, which I’ll definitely be wearing all day throughout the summer. Another awesome pair they featured were these sunglasses with attached plastic mustache– too classy (;

3 ½ stars for this spot found in the beginning of Haight maybe 3 blocks down from Cha Cha Cha’s.
This is a little hole in the wall, there is astroturf inside lil wierd but it is the Haight haha. The person on duty was helpful, prices were cheap, these are not your knock offs these are literaly glasses on the go, the kind you get just to shade your eyes for a lil bit, same kind you find at a gas station or off the freeway haha, they do have a large baby section of eyewear and toddler section 3 pairs buy2 get 1 free came out be about $ 21 with tax so $ 23 well worth it to shade your youngins eyes. Kid section found in the immediate front on the left on the right are all different kind of hats, again these shades are meant for quick use not the fancy kind they do state they will block out UV rays but i’m not so sure how much it blocks out haha
again this is a spot to visit if you got youngins maybe buy a pair for yourself
