Sway

After work one day walking with my mother we stumbled across this cute little shop with lots of goodies in the window. We went inside to find nothing less than some of the cutest clothing, shoes, jewelry and handbags at the BEST prices! So we walked in with 10 minutes til closing. I had spent $ 40 on 4 pieces of Jewelry! I’ve been going back ever since and just found out there are more of these places in the Eastbay! Also I got a coupon for my first website purchase… Thank you Sway for being the newest contributor to my ever growing shopping addiction!

This WAS my favorite store for the past couple years… until this past week. The new staff turnover has ruined it. I have been a loyal customer who works on the block, and now I don’t even feel comfortable going in here anymore. The staff is not nearly as friendly, then went on to say they will deny my discount from that day forward. Talked to some others who work on the block as well, and we agree it’s just not the same. I shopped here at least twice a week, brought friends, etc. end of an era. Will not be bringing my biz back here. Bring back the warm customer service!

Loved this place! Got this recommendation from a friend as I was in SF for a very short time. As I needed to go shopping for some clothes, Sway was just right around the block and I found everything there to be quite good and very reasonably priced.
It makes such a big difference when you can simply walk into a shop and find lots of things. 2 handbags and a few tops later, I left the shop feeling quite satisfied with my purchases and a smile on my face!

I spotted sandals in the window this summer that beckoned me inside to peruse Sway’s selection further. I left with one pair of chocolate and lemon colored sandals and a sweet pair of pointy-​toed ebony flats that I’ve worn pretty much all over the world.
If your retail therapy is best administered in the form of shoes, a shopping sojourn on 24^th Street would not be complete without a little sashay into sway.

Lots and Lots and Lots of on trend styles can be found here for the young lady-​sorry boys nothing in here for you. Cute clothes and accessories and shoes. I went in on a weeknight before Labor Day weekend on the hunt for some super fun, cute, and short shorts! They had sooo many even though summer was coming to an end. They had lace, crochet, scalloped edge, and a huge range of colors. I ended up with a pair of high waisted, multi-​colored shorts and a black sheer sleeveless top that had gold studs on the collar. They have 3 – 4 dressing rooms in the back, an area to sit and try on shoes, a sale rack, and trendy dressed workers. It’s also right next door to Ambiance (another cute boutique) if you’re trying to get your shop on.

Sway is my go-​to spot for affordable fashion. I love that they always have a very sizable selection of sale items and whenever there are only one or two pairs of a shoe left in stock they always mark it down significantly.
The selection is awesome. Lots of sheer, flowy, and sexy tops that I think look great on me even though I’m not a stick figure by any means. I grew up in Noe Valley and I feel that Sway has filled the void for cheap, fashion forward, and youthful clothing in the neighborhood.
Beyond loving the clothes, the ladies who work here are great. They have helped me so many times when I was being indecisive or needed to find a pair of shoes to match an outfit etc. They do not push you to buy anything but really just help you with what you need.
In summary, Sway is a must go for bay area ladies interested in affordable on-​trend fashion!

I found cute colored jeans here at very affordable prices. The material was good as I like cotton and not so much the synthetic stuff. The staff was friendly and the clothes are made in USA, not in China. It’s good for our trade deficit with China, so I will go back for sure!

Ladies, ladies, ladies! It’s alllll here! Great prices for fun, chic, hip styles and brands for all occasions, or not occasions at all! I’m so happy I decided to explore Noe a year ago and discovered this spot. Cute clothes, shoes, and accessories. It’s hard to go there without leaving with something, but then again… I never go there unless I plan on doing some damage!
I take everyone here when visiting SF or city residents who don’t know the awesomeness of Sway yet! So long as they’re trying to have a grand shopping experience! It’s too good to just keep to myself, I just have to share it!

I believe another review said this before, but Sway is like Forever 21’s big sister. A little nicer but still really affordable. I took my sister here because she loves the clothes, which are cute, but are definitely not made for anyone over a size medium.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend and wasn’t disappointed.
Super cute and super reasonable, Sway has everything from bags and belts to shoes and fashionable tops. The girls who work in the store are very nice and helpful and were rocking out to the new Rihanna CD (which I love!) and that made the shopping experience all the more pleasant.
Sway might be an even more reasonable shop than Ambiance, but if you feel the need to do both, they’re right next door to each other — super score!
One thing to keep in mind, much like Ambiance they won’t do straight up returns. Think it’s only store credit so shop wisely :)

Oh, Sway. you picked a good location to put up a store. If it weren‘t for the super long wait at Toast, I would‘ve never found you !
Cute clothes, pretty good/​decent quality and good prices ! Amazing ! I expected this place to just be a window shopping-​only store, but when I checked out the price tags, I was pleasantly surprised. My friend walked out with a suuperr cute sheer teal blouse for only $ 24? I would‘ve bought the same except it hung funny on me [boo for being super short with unnaturally small shoulders !]. I saw a cute black pleather jacket for $ 45 [didn‘t look cheap at all], and, some really nice belts/​accessories for less than $ 20. Best of all, they have sale racks ! I picked up a cute little printed pencil skirt for around $ 16 ! I wanted to buy more, but alas, December has not been friendly on my bank account. I was able to exercise some will power this time, but next time I might not be so lucky.

Looks cute from the outside and I like their shoe selection — more affordable than most other places.
But nearly every single item of clothing is crappy polyester, ill-​fitting and/​or badly made (e.g. all those dresses with a bit of elastic for a ‘waist’ which just bunches the dress up weirdly). I found about 3 items I wanted to try but they didn’t even have a small or XS size. I’m not looking for hand-​stitched silk or anything, just a few items that aren’t … shiny…
OK, it’s a cheapish store, and I guess enough people like the clothes, and the ladies there are so friendly; I feel a bit bad being so nasty about them, I just wish I could ever find something decent that fits!

This is probably one of the most affordable places to shop in SF, and it’s a good thing because you’ll want everything you see.
The staff was warm and friendly, and complimented me on my outfit when I walked in (always a good sales push!). They immediately started a fitting room for me, but unfortunately were not very attentive once I was in the fitting room – there were a few things I would have liked to try in a different size.
Though I had no luck that day, I’ll surely be back; I walk past it on my way to work, which I could see being a future problem.
Bottom Line: Cute dresses, great selection, reasonable prices.

I love that they have a cute selection, great price, and they carry things in my size. I always end up buying something when I stop by this place… and right now they’re doing a 15% referral program which is great because between my girlfriend and I we can keep referring each other to get 15% off every time we shop. A great incentive for everyone!
They have adorable dresses, jewelery, and skirts. Every time I go I feel like I want to try on at least half of the store. And the girls who work there have always been super nice to me. This may be my favorite boutique in SF.

3.5* What moved in next to Ambiance? Sway! Now here’s some competition.
Positives:
*medium price range: almost every clothing item is $ 18-​$ 60
*offers what girls need for day/​night out: jewelry, purses, shoes, clothes
*trendy but not overdone outfits
*few cute clothes on sale racks
Negatives:
*quality of clothes– not too bad but not great.
*variety lacking when compared to Ambiance.
I bought cute tank top for $ 18 on sale– CUUTE! ;)

This place is great. Great selection of dresses, all for ~$ 30. Simple, classy, elegant, and inexpensive.
*Note: if you are looking for high-​quality, long-​lasting wares, this is probably not the place for you.

This is the Forever 21 of Noe Valley.
Sway carries loads of sometimes cute clothes that are cheap, both in price and quality. I bought several things here recently and discovered their disappointing return policy: 2 weeks, store credit only and no returns on sale stuff. I can understand why– they’re always bringing in new items, but I guess I’m just spoiled from the customer service I’ve received at most other stores.
Even though the prices are really affordable (around 20 – 35 bucks for most items), the quality is sub-​par. I’ve learned I’m much better off saving for a higher quality piece of clothing that lasts.

I love Sway! The clothes are affordable and really cute. Everything is organized too.
I passed by the store a couple of times, never really bothered to walk in, UNTIL I saw these cute soda sandals in the window display. I tried them on and ended up buying them for $ 25. I was very satisfied with the service. The staff helped me with shoe sizes and always asked if I needed anything else.
I’ll be returning to Sway! It’s a great store.

I had no idea there was a Sway in Noe Valley until I walked passed it today.
I was looking for a white dress for my bachelorette party in New York. I went to Ambiance and didn’t find anything. I walked towards my car and noticed the familiar «Sway» sign.
I used to shop here when I lived in Alameda and it was the only thing within walking distance to find something for that night’s festivities. I always found something cute for not very expensive that I could match with something I had at home. It was painless.
Now I know it’s just a short drive away.
Oh — and the dress. I found a cute champagne-​colored strapless dress with an exposed zipper in the back that looks very cute on me. It’s not white, but close enough. And the staff was very helpful and even told me how good it looked on me. Sold!
I walked out spending less than $ 50.

I loved almost everything in this store and that is very rare.
It’s right next door to Ambiance and I’m afraid they are going to give their next door neighbors a run for their money.
The prices were right and sometimes surprisingly low for what they were selling.
It’s about time Noe Valley gets a trendy clothing store that won’t break the bank!
