Ordered late night(11:30pm), got the delivery in about 15 minutes(2 orders of biscuits and chili), it was crazy good and was cheap as hell. Really don’t need to say anything more. Top notch.

Joanna has been raising the bar on every item she makes for years. I am one of the many foodies who has followed Jo and her food since The Meeting House days and can’t say enough great things about ANYTHING she makes however she is the absolute empress of bizzzzzquits!!! They just melt in your mouth and make you joyful! If you have never tried them, you have waited far too long. They are the REAL San Francisco treat! Get some of Jo’s food and you will feel delighted and satisfied!

Can you say«best biscuits I ever had?» oh yes you can. And you can only get them from Sweet Jo’s. I’ve been a fan from way back in the MeetingHouse days. They remain my «biscuit standard». — oh and they are square not round biscuits — which for some odd reason I just really enjoy. A long time ago they were sold in the Williams Sonoma catalog for A LOT more than you can get them locally. I have also had her meaty chili(maybe called«bad ass»… maybe. I think). Anyway Joanna never disappoints. Chunks of savory spicy meaty goodness, you can taste the love and passion she puts into every bite! Please Joanna get us a brick and mortar spot ASAP so I can stuff my «biscuit hole» on a moment’s notice! ;)

Rejoice! fans of Joanna Karlinsky’s weekend brunch pop-up at shuttered The Corner or JCC fans, u can get her signature chili and biscuits today 3⁄19 — monday night brunch 5−9pm at The Window(12th street and Howard). Sorry, I have no info on future dates. Check The Window’s posted online schedule or her Twitter/Facebook for updates. The menu: — Jo’s chili($ 7.50) with optional sour cream and cheese — choice of vegan or beef and red beans, it’s hearty and healthy. — the famous and delicious Meetinghouse biscuits($ 4) topped with pork meat gravy with a hint of ginger. Better than Brenda’s in my opinion. Other toppings choices: collard greens, chili, or Meyer lemon curd. — And for dessert: fudge brownies or angel food cake w/Meyer lemon cream($ 3 each). For those who want to make brunch at home. U can buy a pack of 24 frozen biscuits($ 25), and your choice of chili in a pint($ 8.50) or quart($ 16). CASH only(the previous venue did accept cc’s). This takeout venue has no chairs, just 3 tall tables, so u eat standing or take the food home. **Update: The vendor brought 4 lawn chairs.

Looks as if Sweet Jo’s is relocating or brunches to WInemakers’ Speakeasy 1152 Valencia. Food is the usual high standard. Now at a place serving less common California wines — what could be better?

Joanna’s vegan chili is the best meal I’ve ever had! It’s so much more than the typical beans-and-onion fare you get at most restaurants. I crave it all the time and am glad I can get it every Sunday morning at The Corner on Mission and 18th Street.

I am a fan of Joanna Karlinsky’s cooking or should I say cookin’ because this incarnation is distinctly southern. Treat yourself to an amazing bowl of chili or wonderful Meetinghouse eggs or possibly 3 of her very popular biscuits. The location is the heart of mission and the food is the heart of SF.

What a lucky find, my friend and I stumbled upon this place on it’s opening Sunday. Located on the corner of 18th and Mission, this southern breakfast food restaurant is opened on Sundays and Sundays alone. My friend got one of the biscuit benedict combos and enjoyed it(there are 4 different types at about $ 9 a pop). I tried the cheesy grits, eggs and rosemary potatoes, also very good(sides range from $ 2.5−3). Service was prompt and friendly and it was especially enjoyable to sit outside while the weather was on its best behavior.
