Service at night was absolutely terrible. Waited 10 minutes before anyone came over to take my order. The three people working seemed to just be arguing with each other and didn’t pay any attention. Once they took the order it took around another 10 minutes to get the food. The lady seemed to be making orders for 4 – 5 different people, setting them to the side, and then distributing them all together. I saw several other groups leave after not being served. Taco Bell should seriously reconsider the staff here.

If I could give this place half a star I would. I just left VERYUPSET after waiting 30 mins for my order to come only to realize that after waiting for that long(I assumed that they had a lot of orders from customer) I asked where my number went on the screen. They looked up at the screen and said that they don’t know where my order went or they probably made it already. SERIOUSLY? An order doesn’t just disappear from the screen. They made our order and shrugged an «I’m sorry» response. Later on, I realize that one of the preparers saw their friends and handed them a «bag» not implying anything but you can assume what could be in there. DONOTGOHERE unless you like waiting for your food to arrive like you’re at a 4 star restaurant.

A Taco Bell Cantina is different than your typical Taco Bells; as you can order online, the interior is fancier, there’s TV’s everywhere, but the food taste the same. It is nice to have another option for fast food than the McDonald’s across the street. It’s especially much nicer to dine here than McDonald’s too. One of the biggest difference between a regular Taco Bell compared to a Cantina one, is that they’re supposed to have a liquor license and serve alcohol. They’ve been opened for almost a year now and they still do not have their liquor license yet. I’m starting to believe that they will never have the ability to serve alcohol, so this is just a fancier looking Taco Bell. As for the food, it taste like any other Taco Bell. The prices are pretty much the same too, but the service is pretty crappy. The food is always made sloppy and I have gone back to the counter on more than one occasion to ask them to remake it, or add or subtract items from my order. What do you expect from a Taco Bell? At least the prices are still cheap, and it’s nice to watch the Giants game here too.

I love Taco Bell and this new location is the best! Inside of it is extremely clean unlike any other Taco Bell I have ever visited. Food is the same but served kind of restaurant style. Very clean! Parking on the street is easy. They have TV screens for sports!

This is the nicest Taco Bell that I have ever been to and it was open late! The guy who took our order was very nice and answered my silly questions so that’s a plus. I only came in for the chips and nacho cheese, I love that fake cheese… its the best thing ever like movie theatre status but way cheaper!

The interior is modern and fancy with exposed brick, flat-screen TVs and antique wooden stools. The food is the same ol’ Taco Bell you know, aka does the trick if you can’t bring yourself to get any other food, and will not decompose if you leave it sitting out for a week. The prices are at least 20−30% higher than your non-fancy Taco Bell, so you’re definitely helping them pay for their exposed brick, their flat-screens, $$ rent in SoMa, and the attendant standing next to the line… as if anyone needed help ordering Taco Bell. Oh, and you can order through their app on your smartphone and pickup in the window, if you live right upstairs like me and want minimal contact with the constant gusty winds on Townsend Street. They are supposed to be getting their liquor license soon and be able to serve beer, but I’ve been here since they opened and that has yet to show up.

They lied! Straight up — came here to eat at 11:50 and went to door and window and they turned me away! Do not allow this place a liquor license — they lie already and will keep it up!

I LOVE Taco Bell(fine, go ahead and judge me) and I was so excited when I this opened right around the corner from my apartment. Unlike the Taco Bell I grew up with, this Cantina location is actually cute! And the prices are amazingly more or less the same. Get the app — you can order ahead and show up at the window. AND as if it wasn’t cheap enough to begin with, the app almost always has discounts. The cherry on top? The service is always so friendly! What’s there not to love?

This place has serious attitude issue, especially during the morning service. Walked up to counter to order meal, the guy gave me a soda cup then I said, «oh I’d like a coffee please.» Instead of changing the order he said, «you touched the cup.» What kind of attitude is that? And who’s fault is it if you didn’t even asked me what I want to drink and assumed I want a soda? How rude! I left. On other occurrence I have to wait for at least 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter to order.

This is one of the best Taco Bell’s I’ve ever been at! It’s a «Taco Bell Cantina,» which means it’s supposed to serve alcohol, but they’re still working on getting their liquor license. The girl at the cash register said that some people come in and ask if they’ve gotten their license yet, and when she has to tell them«not yet» they turn around and leave. Guess everyone around here is super ready for that license to come through! This Taco Bell Cantina definitely sets itself apart from all other Taco Bell’s in that it has a completely different look and feel on the inside, everything from new seating to digital menu boards. Besides the regular menu options, they also have«shareable» items which really intrigued my friend and I when we stopped by on our trip to SF. We ended up sharing the quesadilla nachos(I think that’s the name… in the shareable section) and it came out beautifully. It’s nice that you can actually see the food being made right in front of you, like at Chipotle or Subway. There was three dollops of guac, sour cream, and salsa(respectively) on top of the little quesadilla pieces which made it amazing. I would definitely come back to this Taco Bell, especially when it has alcohol: p

After the big hullaballo about the Taco Bell Cantina and the promises of margaritas and other alcoholic beverages, this is just a Taco Bell! Albeit, it’s a newer and nicer Taco Bell but the menu items are generally the same as you would have at any other Taco Bell(we were having a tough time spotting the unique menu items). They’re working on their liquor permit so hopefully that comes through soon!

Taco Bell, but a bit fancier. You can’t go wrong with Taco Bell – I mean I guess you can, but the when the craving hits, this isn’t a bad place to go. It makes you feel less crappy about your decision about giving into your fast food cravings. :P Went here after the Color Run 2015. The food is standard, which is expected, and in a way great, cause the prices are the same as any other Taco Bell. The atmosphere was cool – big screen TV, more hipster seating. It had a sort of Chipotle vibe. What was nice was that the staff asked for your name. It made it a bit more personalized vs just being any old number. :) It was too early to actually try any booze from here though, but hey, I would totes come back to check it out! Thanks Taco Bell, until next time!

This is not just your ordinary Taco Bell. Also most of the fast food restaurants are starting to modernize the concepts and structure from a plain restaurant from yester years. This new taco bell has a similar configuration to a taqueria. Customers get to see our food in the kitchen being prepared behind the glass window by the hard-working workers. Also a plus that workers are wearing gloves when making our food. It has been a few years since I have dined at a Taco Bell restaurant. I have missed out on many of the new items served from the chain. On my debut of the new location, I ordered a combo that comprised a Steak burrito, a taco made with a Dorito-flavored hard-shell, a regular taco and a soft-drink for $ 6.99 + tax. I was never a big fan of Dorito-flavored tortilla chips. But I find the specialty taco a unique item and add a kick to my taco. As I was enjoying my dinner, I was watching the Monday Night football game. I was told the restaurant will serve beer and cocktails here once the license has been approve which not many fast food restaurant offers. And with restaurant being located within steps of the AT& T Park, this restaurant would be great to enjoy your meal and watching the San Francisco Giants play on TV. There have been many businesses come and gone at this corner spot. But I think this new Taco Bell has found a new home in the Mission Bay neighborhood.

Live Mas Indeed! Taco Bell, kicked up a notch. Nah, for real, this seems to be like a normal Taco Bell, only hipper, with a big screen tv, more items on the menu, and the possibility of beer on the horizon. Millennials can rest assured that there are fancy plastic trays for the food, wall outlets for webwork, big windows for people watching, and ‘modern’ minimalist wooden décor. As far as fancy Taco Bells go, this one is elite status. I was in the city for a day trip, and my bf and I got a little too excited about visiting the trendy new Taco Bell Cantina. Located in the SoMa(of course, right?)/China Basin area, within walking distance of AT&T park, this is only the second such Taco Bell to open nationwide. Beer is not available yet, as of October 17th, 2015, but there is a petition to sign if you wish to help in this boozy endeavor. All I’m sayin’ is that all these exciting«new» appetizer entrée items only available here would wash down real nice with a Pacifico…

Three words: Hipster Taco Bell. I was intrigued when I heard that there’s a new Taco Bell on block and it’s badder and fancier than any other. Sure, the space is much nicer than any other Taco Bells(or fast food joint) that I’ve ever been to, but the menu is the same standard one. I didn’t see any alcohol on the menu, but I heard buzz that it’s served only after a certain hour or coming soon? The pricing seems to be the same as other TB, but then I haven’t been to a TB for some time. Of course, it felt like a cheap meal since my baseline is off of lunching in SOMA. They had a sign to download and order through their app to «skip the line», but be warned, the prices are slightly higher through the app! Over all, the experience is very a-ok. I did appreciate the attendant by the trash cans though, it’s always a stressful task trying to sort out my trash, recyclables and composts.

Came here about a week after opening to see if it lived up to the hype, and I have to say I was very impressed. I’m not embarrassed to admit I’ve always been a big Taco Bell fan, so I was really excited to hear about the new Cantina concept locations. As of September 28 they don’t serve alcohol, but I hear this will be coming within the next month or so. However I did try the food, which for the most part is the same menu as regular Taco Bells, but with an added Tapas section full of new starters. A friend and I decided to split a few items: the Chicken Quesarito, Homestyle Nachos, and the Loaded Potato Griller. I’m not a very picky person and I usually like whatever I get from Taco Bell, but I will admit everything we ordered tasted about 10x better than any other Taco Bell I’ve tried. Everything was fresh, made to order, and delicious! I’m so glad they chose SF as one of the first Cantina locations. The interior is really modern and hip, and had a sort of Chipotle vibe to it, although it’s arguably a lot cooler, with big screen TVs and all. I was surprised to see that there wasn’t much seating inside as I can picture it getting pretty busy as it becomes more and more popular. Overall I had a great time trying it out and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend trying it even if you think you’re not a Taco Bell fan!

Upon entering the cantina, someone will greet you enthusiastically. Which was hilarious my first time here cause it freaked me out cause like uh, this is Taco Bell. I use the app to order my food here so I can just pass by all the people in amazement and get straight to it. I am on a time limit, people! The customer service here is like this place is owned by the warmest, happiest, trendiest grandpa and everyone who works here is one of his delightful grandchildren. I like ordering online cause it really allows you to customize the hell out of anything and it’s ready when you get there. If you order in they give you your food on a cute little hot dog basket and then they come and clean up all your mess! The starbursts slushies are so smooth and icy and perfect! Don’t come here if you already don’t like Taco Bell. Just let us enthusiasts Live Mas. (unrelated side note: SUCKITJERREL!)

Time: 2:37pm/72°F sunny Purpose: Stop by to check out how their alkie situation was like. To my surprise a rep on site said license not approved yet(pending). How ever lastest scoop is no draft only bottles. Ambiance: There’s definitely a difference between this TB and regular ones. Here, its more into hip trending and young professionals nearby. Sidewalk seating with planter boxes. How many of those TB do you see with such? Interior is recycled wood with brick pillar matching the scenery. Wheelchair ramp leading to ordering counter with partion glass. A mobile pick up window facing third street, not sure if its activated or not. Rest of the place eight person counter seater facing Townsend street with AC/USB outlets and galvanized pipe leg rest. In the center a ten seater communal table with different height stools and two both like table sits about four. Other side a six panel flatscreen that wraps the corner leading to restroom. Soda fountain along with condiment/utensil section next to pick up counter all self-service. Staff: Cashier girl seems upbeat and happy to work there. There were people that place order, but wasn’t if it was for them or not. Instead of waiting for them to she open another register to take in orders. I wanted a simple burrito, but thats when she told me about the big box deal. I glance over to see what it was then went ahead with cool lets do it. Cleanliness: Grade A, everywhere was clean and well kept. Workers were seen sweeping and wiping down inside and outside. No trash piling up and certainly no food odor. Eats/Drinks: Volcano quesarito box $ 6.99 comes with one quesarito burrito, one doritos shell taco, regular crunchy taco, and a drink. No need to explain how a crunchy taco taste like. Everyone must have had it in at least once in their lifetime before. One variation was that of doritos nacho chip shell taco. Mines was red in color no difference as regular crunchy shell version. I only enjoy the volcano quesarito because it was cheesy, gooey and had beef. A unique name, but its just a beef quesadilla made bigger roll into a burrito form. Washing it down with unsweetened ice tea. Didn’t feel all that healthy, but it gets the job done. Main Features: Quesarito Big Box. Beer/wine when available. Products/Services: Tex-mex taco, burrito, salad, quesadilla, nacho, chicken tender, mexican pizza, tostada, empanada, grande meals, 12pk taco, soda fountain, freeze drinks. Promotion of winning a XBOX system. Punch Lines: New, clean, cantina design, friendly/zippy service, wheelchair accessible, television, AC/USB outlet, wi-fi, mobile pick up window, people watch, décor leaves something to desired, accents and flair, wood paneling, light bites, nothing special. Nearby at&t park, Caltrain, Safeway, Lucky Strike, 21st Amendment, Embarcadero waterfront. Tradeoffs: Hipster décor masking a regular taco bell. Without it, its just the same as any other around. Get this my receipt listed a Oakland address on it. Final Thoughts: When ever I see a chihuahua, I often associate it with Taco Bell. It’s funny how I don’t get hangry till I see one. So, anyways this TB really has nothing much to offer than a mobile pick up window, television, AC/USB, Wi-Fi and soon to be beer and wine. Might be a good location for those looking for cheap tex-mex eats before a game or simply crave it. Yo quiero Taco Bell! Four stars for location, price, décor, execution, outlet for gadgets.

I personally consider myself to be a connoisseur of all things Taco Bell therefore I have been in a lot in my day but let me tell you this… this is the nicest Taco Bell I have ever been in. This is not just a regular Taco Bell, this is a Taco Bell Cantina. Although they aren’t selling the alcohol quite yet, the staff here is really attempting to make this a dining experience. The staff was incredibly kind and constantly checking in with my friend and I. They offered to bring us water, napkins, sauce, anything our heart desired and it was awesome. I especially enjoy that there is finally something fast-food in SoMa besides McDonalds. I highly recommend this Taco Bell Cantina, they’ve got a great staff and I pretty much had the best Steak Quesarito of my life here. Hit them up. Come have a Taco Bell Dining Experience. Also, they have a pick-up window if you order from the official Taco Bell app so that’s for sure something to consider.
