Teaching Tots Preschool

My son attending teaching tots from 2 until almost 5 and absolutely loved it & adores teachers Melinda, Alice, Lan. My daughter is there now she will only let teacher Alice do her hair not me: P
These women are kind, strong & love the kids like they are all their own. I’m so so lucky to have found this place and have had my kids so well cared for. They are family.
My son is now in pre-​k and could already write is name, all his letters and basic numbers & count until you make him stop! He loves drawing & had good play time at the school as well. He made many friends at this school too.
I highly recommend! We LOVE Teaching Tots!

The teachers are very nice and accommodating. This is a diverse school, which is great, that’s why we live in the City right?! Just be prepared that not all the children/​families are brought up the same and we have to remember that. I recommend this little gem. I actually went to this school when I was a child, of course, different owners, but same location.

My daughter has attended teaching tots since she was 2. Teachers Alice and Melinda are SO caring and they are a great team! Teacher Melinda is in charge of circle time and many aspects of teaching such as coloring, making crafts, and practicing drawing their letters. Teacher Alice is always making the girls beautiful by putting fancy braids in their hair. Both teachers are extremely loving and really pay attention to what all the children are doing and how they are behaving while at preschool. My daughter is now 4 ½ years old and she still loves teaching tots — so much that most of the days that I try to pick her up early she tells me she wants to stay and play! I think for any parent that is a true testament about how much the kids love teaching tots when they don’t want to leave !

My son is always excited to go to school, they have a great yard and go to the golden gate park frequently. The teachers are amazing and very thorough. They always make sure the children are safe and well taken care of. I’m also really impressed with how fast my son is learning how to write his letters!!! Thanks teaching tots;;;;)))

I am in love with these sweet sweet women! My daughter attended from the time she was almost two until she was ready for Transitional Kindergarten which she now attends in the sunset.
Teaching Tots is a humble, no frills school with two women who love and care for the children as if they are their own.
My daughter still makes me take her back to visit teacher Melinda, and Teacher Alice because she misses them so much.
I was so thankful to have found them. The nurtured my daughter’s creativity, held her tight when she was sad, and even helped potty train her. Their prices are a huge bargain considering what child care costs are these days.
Over the course of the two years my daughter attended for two days a week, she learned her alphabet, songs, colors and even phonetics; all in a fun, non-​pressured atmosphere.
I didn’t mind that they don’t provide lunch because it allowed me to pack the things my daughter would actually eat.
I would reccomend teaching tots to anyone who is looking for a low-​cost, loving, safe environment for their little one.
Thank you Teacher Melinda and Teacher Alice for being such a great part of my daughter’s life, and for nurturing her. It was nice to have her be happy to go to school and know she was safe in your care while I was working. I can’t thank you enough. We miss you!

My first son went to teaching tots until kindergarden and my 2 years old daughter is now following his path.
We love this place, Alice and Melinda are a great team.
We loved the flexibility of the schedule, the extremely good rate for a private preschool in San Francisco where you can even write off vacation time from your monthly bill.
The overall ambiance is very laid back and multicultural.
The place is simple but cute, one block from the N-​Judah-​9^th/​Irving muni stop and has a great little outside playground in the backyard.

My son attends here at Teaching Tots and he loves it. Not just so close to home but a very lively tots school. It has a playground in the backyard where kids play inhouse. A very safe place to play for tots.
My son always comes home with stories about how his day goes, and we like it. A place where kids can learn socialization, which is very important at this age.
Both Teachers Alice and Melinda are great. They make safety and socialization as their priorities.
I surely recommend this to other moms who are looking for preschool in the neighborhood. 5 stars.

My daughter attended preschool here, she now attends Alice Fong Yu. Although they speak mostly English the kids also learn some Chinese.
Quality of care: excellent, they treat the kids like they are family members. Very sweet and caring.
Teaching curriculum: the children are well prepared for preschool. They exceed the basics. My daughter could write her name, abc’s basic reading, numbers,… Nursery rhymes. They have a schedule.
It’s not a really fancy preschool. However it is clean, and teacher Alice and Melinda are top notch. The kids have a play area inside and outside.
My son now attends preschool there too.
Most of the kids got their first choice to private and public schools. I got my first choice.
This place is also really affordable!
