A good place to come after a sandwich at Bunn Mi up 5th Avenue. Older crowd on this night than the hipster vibe at Bunn Mi with live music and sports. Had their monthly feature pint Heroine IPA from«101North» for 4 bucks. $ 5 sandwich(see Bunn Mi review) + $ 4 pints + live music /walking distance = HAPPY! One negative was the ciggy smoke wafting in from outside.

Came here on NYE to celebrate. The place was a cool chill bar. Environment was friendly. The crowd we met was nice. There was a pool table & foosball table, tv’s all around. It was nice and clean. Can’t say much about the drinks or staff since I didn’t order anything. Not sure about the prices either.

As a huge boxing fan I love this place! I was here for a few ppv fights recently and this place was packed, it took me a while to actually find a place that buys ppv boxing fights, however now that I found it I know where to come. Sure when you order a drink you may have to speak up a few times, or you may order beer and get wine instead, however this is one of the few places that actual boxing fans come out and love to have a casual conversation. Last time I was here I found out that they also stream UEFA games, which makes this place even more awesome :) I will be coming here a lot more than I expected. All in all this place has a great vibe, if you’re into soccer and/or boxing(or mma) this place is a hoot, they do have a cover charge for ppv(pay per view) events ranging from $ 15 – 20

We heard a rumor that this was a «Seahawks bar» in SF, so naturally we had to stop in… not a Hawks bar. BUT a good bar non the less.

The worst. Rowdy, loud, rude, crowds of drunk smokers outside. And a terrible neighbor.

Owners are awesome. Hockey fans from all over came to watch the finals. Great service, games, and TVs for sports. Go Blackhawks!

My UFC hot spot– love coming here to watch fights! Drinks are cheap, crowd is friendly, TVs are everywhere and the bartenders are awesome. I’m usually one of a small handful of girls so heads up ladies– the guy/girl ratio here is totally in your favor! They don’t serve food, but allow you to bring it in if you want.(Quick tip: Bella’s Pizza 2 doors down) Bathrooms are clean and I’ve never had to wait in line.

I would give these place 0 stars if possible. I came here on Thursday around 12am and the place was packed. completely understandable that the bartenders are busy. This was the day the giants won the last NLCS game, so it would probably be smarter to overstaff. But definitely NOT understandable that my boyfriend and I stood AT the bar for 15 minutes waving the bartenders down to buy drinks. To make it worse we didn’t even get acknowledged. One of the bartenders was definitely intoxicated and was not aware of the people all at the bar waiting to buy drinks. We even maneuvered to the other side of the bar to try again, no luck. We left very upset after so many attempts at trying to get a drink.

Great bar to watch games!!! They are so spirited and the bartenders are great! Plus they have pool and darts for non-game nights!

Stumbled upon this place as I was waiting for Burma Superstar to open up. This is a nice little neighborhood spot. Spent some time chatting it up with the Irish bartender about the World Cup and had a pint of Speakeasy Big daddy. If I didn’t need to secure my spot in line at Burma, I would’ve hung out for a lot longer.

Best Guinness poor in the city. Great bands, especially the guitar and string harp cover band duo from Portland– wish I got their name. I felt a bit like I was in Ireland here, complete with good company, dancing, good music and awesome Guinness, and that’s a good thing. Hope to be back.

Came here on St. Patrick’s Day [really bad idea, in hindsight] and was nearly crushed by the hoards of Marina /Nob Hill /North Beach bros who decided to slum it out in the Richmond in the sake of getting bloody wasted. My female friend and I didn’t even bother braving the crush to get to the bar so we ventured outside, and her boyfriend found us and brought us vodka Red Bulls outside which we managed to kill without the nearby cops seeing us. Maybe on a non-drunk kids holiday? Perhaps.

Nice and low key, I wish they had a menu of the beers on tap. Maybe they do, but I didn’t see any. The bartender was pretty cool and there are pool tables and a dart board where you and some friends can go ahead and challenge each other while taking it easy in the city.

Local bar conveniently located on Geary. I must be really wanting a drink because all I can think about is reviewing bars. Anyways, Abbey Tavern is a really chill place to hang to catch up with some friends. I especially like Thursday night! They have a great DJ playing some music from the 90s~. Yes! Everything gets a plus one when they have good music playing. It sucks it’s only on Thursday night… I think I went on a Saturday night and they had a local band. It’s great they support their locals! Speaking of which. They hang a lot of sports banners. Mostly bay area, you know. Represent. It’s actually pretty cool to look at all the ones they have. Plus they always play the games on their TVs. So great place to grab a drink and watch a game. Make sure you have your ID ready as you walk in the door. They always have someone checking as you walk in. They have I think a $ 15 minimum for cards. So make sure you have some cash unless you’re gonna spend more than that. Their drinks are pretty reasonable price. And they got weekly/monthly specials on certain beers. So check it out. They have two pool tables and booths as you walk further back. Bar stools as you initially walk in. I’ll be sure to drop by Abbey Tavern if I’m ever out for drinks in the area.(:

I’m getting old for this shirt. At the 30, i need to reevaluate the term«Crackin!‘ Crackin doesnt mean to over crowd the place to full capacity so i can rub my junk against another guy just to walk to the bar. Crackin doesnt mean to have a guy/girl ratio of 80⁄20 I guess i could have expected it if i knew it was college night on thurs. So i guess i would expect to see: –Really loud music and turning the tavern into a club. –girls so drunk that its unattractive — the same drunk girls freak dancing against you cause there is no room to dance. — college guys wanting to share a bromance with each other. — and probably alot of things will happen that you will regret the next morning. its a triple threat: club, tavern, and a really young crowd. its up to you if you find that«Crackin!»

3.5 stars — came in because Timmy was pitching and we did not have time to make it home to watch the game. There was a large group there for some celebration — having a good time, with boxes of pizzas from nearby and a few dogs on leash. We grabbed two seats at the corner with direct view of one of the many tvs. Bartenders were Irish and nice. Drafts were served in cold glasses from the fridge. Best part of the visit — Timmy pitched a great game and the Giants won! On a Saturday night, they got quite crowded with groups coming in.

This is a sports specialised bar, Order the pint you want end just enjoy your game. Funnyu detail; check the guy with the feet glued to the wall.
