The pizza at Bricks is mediocre, but with it being the only late-night option that students have to get food on campus that honors the meal plan, it could be worse.

One of the 3 places on SFSU’s campus where students can use their«meal plans»; the bricks serves pizza, sandwiches, pasta, and salads. What you can order is limited depending on the day. The pizza is below average; too spongey(tastes like something you’d get at chuck-e-cheese), too greasy, and overall non-satisfactory in taste. The soda fountain runs out of ice everyday, and most of the popular sodas run out of syrup every day. The only reason this place is still in business is because students with low expectations can use their meal plans to get pizza.

Not a lot of vegetarian options. Pesto lasagna is about it, or the Italian sandwich –meat. It’s quality food though. Plus they have the only real soda on campus and they’re open late.

Those who have been at SFSU as long as me would know that this place used to be the Cantina. The only thing that has changed, aside from the name, is the variety of items. The only reason why this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 star is for the fact that they now offer more items(soups, sub sandwiches, etc) than when this place was the Cantina. Here’s where The Bricks fails: * The soda machine constantly runs out of ice. * Practically every time I order a caesar salad, and after specifically ordering one without chicken, what happens? My caesar salad arrives with not just chicken, but with boatloads of it. * Their pizzas seem to always be drowning in grease(more so than other places). 2 stars

An absolute shambles. The staff try hard but get it wrong all the time. If you order a sandwich it will come years later than you planned it to. If you order the pasta there is a very small chance it will be cooked and if you order the pizza, depending on when you go will depend on how good it is. At it’s best your looking at an alright Pizza that’s been cooked pretty freshly, if your late and they’ve been sat there for a while, it might tast a bit like a homeless persons shoe. Pretty sure the meatballs are made of cardboard. The consistency is that of the universe. Completely unpredictable and likely to throw chunks of rock at you. Fortunately it has a redeeming quality, Soda and Fruit. Unlimited refills on your fizzy drinks that will surely ruin your enamel and sometimes an Apple that doesn’t look like it’s been trod on. That all said, it’s still a better option than the Dining Center.

This has the best tasting food on campus under the meal plan, but it was a little confusing to understand. I did walk away hungry, but the quality of the food was really good. I don’t suggest coming here for dinner but rather just come for a light lunch of pizza and a salad. Best thing about this place was it had actual soda, even if it wasn’t carbonated enough.
