$ 12 «super burrito» is extremely small. I had it delivery to me and I was totally disappointed. it doesn’t even come with avocado? :/

Very Americanized establishment. Not the experience I was hoping. The drink(orchata) was too sweet, the service was subpar, and the food had no authenticity. A small step up from Taco Bell.

Came here with good company a few weeks ago for a Saturday night meal. Little Chihuahua has been on my list for some time because hello, plantain burrito sounds ah-may-zing. It’s located in a cute little part of Noe Valley, where parking is a bit annoying to find. OVERALL. + Decent amount of seating(although not great for large groups) + Friendly, relatively fast service + Good selection of drinks(beer, margaritas, etc) ~ Pretty decent food(although not really authentic, more fusion-y) ~ Expected price-points for the food quality and neighborhood I wouldn’t return, simply because there are so many other options out there, but it’s not bad for a quick bite.

This place was a total disappointment. Not only was the food bad, but the service was even worse. My family and I – 4 people total — ordered burritos, a quesadilla and taco salads. All were bland and were a sad mix of traditional Mexican and nouveau California cuisine. We paid a dollar for a bowl of Chips – most of which were cracked pieces too tiny to even pick up. The place was dark and the employee at the counter didn’t have the courtesy to tell there was a salsa bar in an adjacent area. Then as we were eating the employees flashed the indoor lights to let us know the place was closing, a rude act that was nothing compared to the mad dog stare one of the workers gave my daughter. Needless to say, I will never go here again.

Cute Noe Valley location. We came on a Sunday night in October and found close street parking. It was a bit crowded, even for a Sunday night, and we managed to get a table to sit. We had the enchilada, both the wild mushroom one and the vegetarian one. Also, had two tacos, al pastor and carne asada. For drinks, a watermelon and a pineapple agua fresca. Everything was good, and there was a good selection of salsas, too. The counter service was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back if in the area again.

Came here in search of the best breakfast burrito in town after finding it on a list. I can’t say I was completely floored, but it’s certainly a good rendition(went for the chorizo). The standout, however, was the chile relleno stuffed with scrambled eggs and potatoes. Chiles rellenos is one of my all time favorite Mexican dishes, but this was my first time having a breakfast version. I’m a fan. Overall I’d say it was a slightly above average Mexican breakfast. The setting is cute and clean, staff is friendly. Just don’t expect to be wowed.

Delicious salsa, bean options, and the food is so full of flavor! My new favorite place to get Mexican in Noe!

Probably the best burrito in Noe. The plantain burrito is fantastic and the fajita one too. You’ll get one of the best burritos in town with no waiting time! The other little chihuahuas always have a 45min line but this one doesn’t!

Ay! Chihuahua! I love this place. It’s very SF, meaning organic, grass fed beef, whole wheat tortillas kind of place. This is great for me, a vegetarian that loves burritos. I’m always looking for a good veggie burrito. Unfortunately the more authentic places are not so great for vegetarians. Also, I’m very picky… I was able to order a grilled veggie, no onion, black bean, whole wheat, avocado — not guacamole, but with sour cream burrito AND they didn’t even skip a beat. I love a good salsa bar and Chihuahua’s delivers. Some of the salsas are hot, no joke. They serve drinks too! Not the cheapest but a good casual place. I’ve been to the Divisadero & Noe locations and both are great.

I think this is the Chipotle of Noe Valley, which basically means it’s pretty pricey. I got a chicken chile verde quesadilla. It was really tasty, but also $ 11.50!!! And we had to pay an extra $ 1 for a bowl of chips. The chips were crisp and fresh, but NOT free, just like Chipotle. But I would definitely say that they tasted better than Chipotle chips. And they also have a fresh salsa bar where you help yourself to whichever salsa you want. My quesadilla was a good size and really good, but the side of guac was small and thin, just a thin coating on top of a pile of raw shredded cabbage. The portion size was decent, so I had some leftovers that heated up fairly nicely later that afternoon. I would consider returning if I want fast Mexican food in Noe, but I would probably want to try some other brunch places first.

So I’m one of those people who thinks Chipotle makes the best burrito ever. I get burritos other places, but to me, Chipotle was always my favorite. Enter The Little Chihuahua. My husband and I tried this place during our first couple days living in Noe Valley and it is actually better than Chipotle. For me to say that is a big deal. I am actually surprised it only has 3.5 stars. You know how there are those restaurants with 3.5 stars that you love, and the ones that are really terrible — well, this one is one of the good ones. We shared the Pollo Asado super burrito with black beans. It’s a little more expensive than Chipotle, but it’s definitely worth it! This place definitely has to-go food, but it won’t be quite as quick as Chipotle. I’d expect a to wait a few minutes in line and another 4 or 5 minutes to get your food. Some crazy lady literally started screaming in the restaurant about waiting for your food. Relax, woman! Luckily, a man behind us lightened the mood by immediately screaming about wanting to order(making fun of the crazy lady), so it was an entertaining visit to say the least. It’s not a place where you see all the ingredients in front of you already prepared and choose from behind a glass window. The cooks assemble make your food in the kitchen, though you can see them well.

Seems expensive, but the ingredients were fresh tasting and concientiously sourced. It was $ 35 for 2 burritos, two drinks, and chips and guac. Is that normal now? I had the green chili tofu, and it was great. The plantain burrito was also delicious if you like roasted bananas. The chips were disappointing, and the salsas that I tried were bland. So overall, it was okay, but I probably will go other places before trying this one again.

Ehhhhhh. Food was sub par at best. Ordered the carnitas super burrito with red sauce, boyfriend ordered the al pastor with red sauce. When we got our food, it’s wasn’t even hot. It was warmish. I asked the guy if he could warm it up, and they brought me a completely new burrito, which I thanked them for. When I bit into it, the tortilla was hot, but yet again the meat/rice combo was warmish. Other than that, the food didn’t taste very great. Meat didn’t have much flavor and tortilla was too thick. The salsas were pretty good, though. The staff were all nice, and helpful. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again.

On a Saturday you can find me one place, its not here its typically on my bike. Wait sorry this is a review about Mexican food in Noe Valley. Okay! After I finish my mega bike loop in the Marin Headlands the only thing I can mentally process is heading over to the Little Chihuahua(TLC) and getting a bowl of their wonderfully salted tortillas, a Pacifico draft beer, and a Carne Asada Taco and a Al Pastor taco. Two tacos are more than enough for me and I like to eat. The carne asada sometimes can be hit or miss the meat sometimes is over cooked or just not as wondefully soft as other times, but it is typically a must savory and hot all on a soft double tortilla. The Al Pastor is the best taco ever though, the spicy red sauce, the chunks of pineapple, the grilled up pork; to die for. They have a wide variety of fresh made salsas from Pico de Gallo, tomatillo, and a chipotle salsa(BOMB). My only gripe is the consistency is all over the place, sometimes the beef in the carne asada is just Okay(this has happened more than once), sometimes the Salsas are mild and upon going back for more they are razor edge spicy. I just can’t quite put my finger on it so I just can’t give 5 stars when I really want to.

Really 3.5. There we were starving in Noe Valley wishing we could get a table at Griddle Fresh. But no, not without selling off future first grandchildren, so… off to TLC where there wasn’t a wait! They have a weekend brunch menu and a patio both of which are pretty good. You order at the counter and take a number for your table. Food comes up pretty quickly which is nice. There are free chips and 4 types of salsa. We split a salad and stacked enchiladas, and had coffee. Portions were generous. The salad had mango, shrimp and avocado. The enchiladas had pork inside with a really good red sauce and egg on top. Both were delicious. The only thing I didn’t like was the coffee which was bitter and not a rich full bodied brew. Overall, this is a fine place to eat.

Nice little place for a quick meal or takeout. –FAST, friendly service.(Shoutout to the awesome dude behind the counter who gave me a taste of the jicama agua fresca) –Salsa bar(not terribly exciting to be honest, but kind of nice) –Reasonably priced I ordered the Carne asada taco salad and enjoyed it. Really large portion and the actual steak was yummy. I believe the menu said it was served with queso fresco, however the cheese was identical to feta which was kind of weird in a taco salad. Shredded cheese is so wonderful in these kinds of salads so that would’ve taken the dish to another level. However, I was still very content because of the mango salsa, flavorful black beans and avocado. My friend got the salmon tacos and they were really generous with the fish and apparently very tasty, too!

Kind of Americanized, okay fine, completely Americanized Mexican food. I’ve been to other TLC before, and this one is located in Noe Valley. Cute neighborhood with lots of shopping and food options. The food here was pretty darn good. The shrimp salad and baby burrito hit my post work hunger spot. The salsa bar has many options as well. Parking sucks but hey, its the city, what do you expect?

love the food, location is a little further from my house than another unnamed taqueria on the same street, though worth the extra walk. I am kinda put off by what appears be a bunch of GUEROS slinging Mexi food, Y QUENOHABLAESPAÑOL! Sin embargo, gran comida!
