Received a call from Dr. Ming yesterday(after seeing my earlier review) apologizing for his staff not giving a proper cleaning. I must say that him going out of the way to contact me was appreciated. However, any good established Dr. would not change his name, I don’t see very many reasons to change it this late in the game. Also, calling me to change my review is concerning and a little scary as to why there are no good Unilocal reviews. Lastly, after the staff changes that occurred after original dentist left, the bad cleaning and a sealant that was unsuccessful I cannot find fit to change my rating of this office, as stated before, I appreciate him reaching out but too little too late.

I have to agree with christie’s review because I have had fillings done with dr. dong and a few times the fillings came out. It got so bad that I had no confidence with his work and ended up going to another dentist. Don’t get me wrong, dr dong is a decent fellow but the work is just not good.

I went to this dentist to get a root canal. I had a refund-based insurance scheme, so I could go anywhere and didn’t have the restrictions of a program. I was looking to get this taken care of in a hurry because I was in a lot of pain. He had immediate appointments available. Dr Dong botched the root canal. He didn’t get all the root, and the nice folks I went to see up at UCSF to get it fixed were worried that I would lose the tooth because he didn’t even drill in the right place to get the root. Something about perforation. I will never. Ever. Go back to see this guy again. Although by rights he owes me a root canal, I’d rather put a fork in my eye, as it’d be less painful than what this dentist did to me.
