DONOTCOME. GOTOTOYOSEORTHESPOTLOUNGE. The food is mediocre but the service and amount of alcohol in the soju is shit. There are other reviews about this restaurants terrible customer service and this has been the worst service I have ever received from the two waitresses Erica & Michelle. I was already reluctant to come because my friend had two bad experiences there, where they charged them for the food when they ordered at 11 but refused to bring the food out because they waited for the food past 12 am, which is when they close on the weekdays. What kind of restaurant establishment charges for food but doesn’t give it to the customer and makes the customers wait that long for their food when the restaurant is empty?!! Basically, don’t come here! We ordered 2 orders of chicken wings and waited 45 minutes for it before we decided we wanted to cancel the order. We pushed the service button and then asked the waitress about the status on our food and she said that she forgot to put the order in. Ok. So we decide we want to cancel it. She then says that we can’t cancel it because the kitchen is already making it. What the fuck? Two seconds ago you said you forgot to put in the order but now you telepathically sent our order to the kitchen? First of all, you work in a service industry. Understand what customer service is. If you make your customers wait almost an hour for their food and they want to cancel their order, you should comply or at least come to a compromise. We had the other waitress basically smirking at us because our table was getting agitated and it showed. Not only that but after we talked to them and decided to just say fuck it and wait for the chicken wings, they bring out the chicken wings to another table and ask them if they want their chicken wings or if they could give it to us. Meaning that those chicken wings weren’t even for us to begin with!!! She brings the wings to us and we ask for the check and she charges us for 2 wings when she only brought out one! We point it out to her and by this time we were pretty pissed. She then goes to say she’s going to cancel one order. If it was that easy to cancel an order, why didn’t you do it in the first place?! Most people come here for the flavored soju but it’s pointless to be wasting your money here for soju because they literally don’t put any alcohol. My table ordered peach soju and none of us could taste any alcohol. Me and the birthday girl had 5 shots each and was still sober?!! We tried to pass the time while we were waiting for our wings by drinking and trying to order another one. We asked for it to be stronger and they said no because the manager wasn’t there. What does that have to do with anything??? I’m sure if your manager was there, you wouldn’t have such shitty service. Overall, the food is average at best. Their soju barely has any soju in it and the service is shit. What’s the point of this place even existing when there’s TOYOSE down the street and THESPOTLOUNGE on ocean?

DONOTCOME ! If I could give 0 stars I would! I came here last night for my birthday with some friends and we all wanted to have a good time. We were seated quickly since a table was open and we proceeded to ordered our food and some soju. Everything was fine, we ate our food and waited for my last friend to arrive before we took the first shot of peach soju. It literally just tasted like juice ! We asked if we could make it stronger but the waitresses said that they couldn’t do it(according to another review someone else had requested the same thing and was refused. But the manager responded to their review and said that they could … What?!) My friend was hungry so he ordered some wings along with my boyfriend ordering one as well. We sat there for 45 minutes talking and finishing up the«juice». We called the waitress over and asked to check on the chicken wings and she comes back to tell us that they FORGOTTOPLACETHEORDER ! Seriously ?!(Apparently this is a normal thing since I have read other reviews) Also the waitress never apologized for forgetting it she just straight up told us… 3 seconds later we decided to cancel the chicken wings and the waitress said they couldn’t cancel it and we will still be charged for it because they started making it already. REALLY ?! That makes no sense at all ! We wanted to cancel it and leave yet still be charged whether or not we received our food! After going back and forth arguing with the waitresses and calling the manager who didn’t pick up the phone, we received one set of wings, which was suppose to be for the table next to us … We got our bill and they charged for both sets even though we received one so we told them and NOW they can cancel it ?! One of my friends was pissed and and said«you can cancel it now but not earlier ?» And the waitress had the audacity to say that she shouldn’t charge us if we didn’t receive it … But yet they were gonna charge earlier … THISPLACEHASTERRIBLESERVICE THEWAITRESSESDIDNTDESERVETIPYETWEHADTOFORTHE18% GRATUITY NEVERCOMEHERE ! You’re just paying for food you can make better yourself at home and juice that’s most likely in any grocery store!

Bomb short rib fries, bomb cocktail soju variety, bomb kimchi fried rice, bomb galbi, bomb jjigae, just BOMBOMBOMB. Best to come with a group, whether it’s a small one or a large group(but please call and reserve ahead of time for large groups). I tend to order fries whenever I get the chance to at any place, but I think most would agree that their short rib fries are hard to resist when you’re at the table with a watermelon cocktail soju here, a pineapple cocktail soju there, and a yogurt soju(my fav) everywhere. Seriously though, gotta try it if you haven’t already(avoid the jalepenos if you can’t take spicy). Other than the fries my friends also like to go for the gizzards and kimchi fried rice. Its always fun to hang with friends here with kpop music and videos taking over your senses, whether you’re looking for a chill or lively atmosphere. It differs from night to night, and depends on the time of night too. Give this place a try. Or not. As long as I still get my fries.

I do like some of their food. Especially their soy sauce glazed chicken! That’s the style of wings that I love and often crave, so it was so nice that they make some good ones. We were ambitious(not really) when we ordered both type of wings. The fried wings with some red pepper powder type of thing going on was deliciously tender and moist. Even as a person who doesn’t really eat spicy that well, I still thought it was quite delicious. I like that they have some salad on the side to balance the plate of meat and flavor. Their seafood pancake(haemul pajeon), though, was underwhelming, especially when I’m pretty sure I never found any obvious seafood goods in the pieces I ate. I like noticeable chunks of seafood in my haemul pajeon, so I will likely never order this again from here… Our server was really nice and patient with us, when we asked for the shrimp chips(that’s complimentary with soju orders) even when we ordered food. Don’t be shy to ask! Anddd everyone was right about the slow service. It’s true, so be ready to be very patient! But I mean there is nice distraction with random Korean music videos playing soo yeah ;) Also dim lighting and pretty lights that look like a night sky filled with stars, that might be my favorite part after their chicken wings.

I thought very highly about this place from what I’ve heard from friends, so I had to go and see for myself. My boyfriend and I came to eat and drink at tonight for the first time and everything looked so good on the menu, as we were starving while glancing. The server said when we are finished to ring the bell. Okay that’s a cool feature. We ordered the French fries,(which was decent), spicy pork and kimchi fried rice. Okay, so my truthful thoughts about the portions was, DAMN a child could finish these plates. Like come on, really? Barely any meat on the fries and the spicy pork maybe had 10 small pieces of meat to share between my BF and I. A bowl of rice was supposed to come out with the spicy pork, but we didn’t even receive it until we were almost finished with our meal. The kimchi fried rice, I’ve had better. Tasted so bland, needs a little extra spice in it please. The service could be much better. The server delivered the watermelon soju, but not the shot glasses, I had to ask for that. The bell shouldn’t even be an option. Servers need to service you at all times, make sure you’re doing good every so often. Small portions, a little on the pricey side = not even worth it.

I am sad to say that Tonight Soju Bar was not up to par in regards to consistency as of last night. Note I have been here many times and have deemed this place as my go-to Soju Bar. However, I was incredibly disappointed with their portions(photos are to come) I was accompanied by 3 other people and we had ordered 2 bottles of soju(1 person does not drink that much at all), dukkboki(without ramen), short rib fries, tonight wings, Kimchi and pork belly soup, and kimchi fried rice. The star of the dinner was the tonight wings in my opinion. Generous portion, sticky, and delicious. Everything else was below average to mediocre. The dukkboki, literally, we only each had 2 pieces of rice cake, which brings it to a total of 8 pieces. Totally not worth the price for $ 10. I actually asked the waitress why the portion, when last time i had it there was a larger portion, was so small, she said that is their standard portion size, but I must have had the ramen last time. She was right. I did have ramen last time, but this doesn’t mean they can skimp out on that. I mean come on, $ 10 for 8 pieces of Dukkboki… hmmm. Next was the short rib fries. This was terrible. There was literallly 10TINY burnt pieces of meat. In the past, you can see from their collection of photos on this Unilocal page, they dumped a huge pile of meat on there! Now It seems like they just scraped meat off the side of the pan. it was hard and burnt peices of meat. Unacceptable. I should have been a B* and sent it back, but I already felt bad about the dukkboki. Next thing I noticed was the table in front of us with only 2 customers, got a bowl of Shrimp chips. This reminded me that we didnt receive ours. Me being the Asian that wants to get the biggest bang for her buck, pressed the little red call button yet again,(yes Ms. waitress, its me again!), and asked her why we didn’t recieve the shrimp chips. She informed me that it was for customers who order more drinks… Hmm. Okay. Though last time I’m pretty sure we were served shrimp chips even before we ordered. Whatever. I’m so sad you have turned out this way Tonight Soju Bar. It just looks like I won’t be coming back here again… so sad to say because you use to be my favorite spot. Farewell.

It’s been about 3 years since I’ve been to Tonight and boy have they gone downhill. From the sticky menus bound together by tape to the sad plates of food– our entire table was so turned off that I’m sure we will not ever come back again. We ordered the potstickers, Tonight chicken wings, garlic cheese fries, and cheese corn and every single dish was mediocre at best. We also asked for some lemons to go with our soju and they were $ 1 each! What a ripoff. The icing on the cake is the music skipping loudly in the background. It was super irritating and distracting. I didn’t get why it was left on like no one cared… but then again that was the whole vibe of our entire experience. I left one extra star because the servers were somewhat friendly and attentive.

I’ve been to Tonight a few times and I just can’t seem to find the good about this place… Service is great, ring the bell if you need anything. I haven’t had to wait every time I came; guess I’m just lucky? But anyways I had the following: –Strawberry soju — Alcohol taste was pretty heavy so I didn’t like it. –Kimchi pancake — little too spicy for me. –Short rib fries — yummm friesssss. –Bibimbap — tasted pretty standard… –Japchae — it was ok. –Chicken Wings — Tastes pretty good. –Kimchi Fried rice — this was good, not as spicy as the pancake surprisingly.

Come when its not busy(weekdays) or else the wait can be brutal! Their kimchi friend rice was pretty good considering I’m not a fan of kimchi itself. It had pieces of spam in it. WINNER! Their wings reminded me of Osha Thai wings… for anyone whose familiar with their wings. Though their watermelon soju was on a pricier side, it was worth trying. However, I don’t think I’ll be ordering it again. Bottom line, it had a nice and relaxed ambiance. A perfect place to catch up with some friends!

Came here in a big group for a friend’s birthday, and I’m happy to say I was pleased with the food and service. This place got packed quick, so make sure to get there early or get a reservation. Not sure if there’s a convenient parking place around here, because we parked on the street. We ordered seafood pancake, chicken wings, kbbq short ribs, tofu soup, noodles, hot pot, and of course a whole lot of soju. Everything we had tasted great, and we had a lot of fun. The service was quick, and very attentive. We got pretty loud, and they were still checking up on us with a smile. The restaurant got really busy quick, and they still kept an eye on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely come back here if I was in the city again!

Got the chance to finally head here for some Soju. I felt lucky because I came on a night that didn’t seem too busy, so we didn’t have to wait too long. Tons of parking all over the place so that wasn’t a issue either. The inside is kinda small so if you’ve got a big group the wait can take a while. As for the food, Everyone ordered something different *Tonight Wings — Best dish ordered of the night. Decent amount, has the sticky crunchy and sweet texture you love with Korean wings. *Short Rib Fries — Not bad on the price, but not enough meat. Great for the munchies and a group because they do bring a big portion *Cheese Corn — To be honest, it seemed like canned corn, topped with cheese. *Seafood Pancake — Large portion, and nothing special Soju So of course we had to try the Soju thats served in the fruit, at $ 25 a piece you can get the mini water melon and the pineapple, which we ordered both and they are served with dry ice for the special effects. Both Soju(s) tasted good. The watermelon, tasted like watermelon juice mixed with alcohol, but it just wasn’t strong. The Pineapple taste similar to pineapple Ciroc, because of how smooth it was. You wouldn’t need anything to chase with after taking shots of the Soju since it is no where near strong. Anyways if you can skip the decorations for you snapchat or instagram then its half off without the fruit. As an experience, its a cool place to go with your friends if you want to do something different. However I doubt you’ll be getting too crazy because the drinks aren’t that strong. Maybe you’ll want to pregame at Safeway across the street. The staff here is friendly and they are pretty fast too. The food here is decent but kinda pricey, some of it taste good and some of it doesn’t.

I dont always drink soju, but when I do, it’s because my friends want to. So after having weak soju at a place in oakland, we decided to come all the way here to finish our night. I was the first to arrive and put our name on the list(even though place was half full, but they won’t seat your group unless they’re all here) After everyone arrived, we quickly ordered 3 sojus, the watermelon, the pineapple, and the yogurt. We finished everything REALLY fast. The strongest one was the watermelon but the tastiest was the yogurt. After that we ordered a peach and lychee soju. Also delicious but weak on the alcohol. At the end of the night the bill was around $ 15/person for 5 sojus. I’m not gonna lie though, there wasn’t much alcohol as I was 99% sober.

This is just a little hole-in– the-wall place, but I came here with a big group from work on a recommendation from someone and it was a big win. It was really quiet the Sunday night we visited, but there was lots of entertainment in the form of the Korean music videos they play. Watermelon Soju– yes! wings– yes! Meat stew-yes! I can’t wait to try the pineapple Soju on my next visit. The best news is, it is not really expensive, so you can have a fun night out for less than $ 25 per person.

We came here for late dinner since there are only a few places open late that serves food. This place is open till 2am. All people in your party should be present in order to sit down. This place gets packed so come all together with your group. We ordered seafood pancake, chicken wings, chicken gizzard, yogurt soju, spicy pork, beef short ribs and french fries with short ribs. They were all goof but I have had better ones ofcourse. The portion size is small for the spicy pork, beef short ribs and seafood pancake. There is only afee short rib pieces on top of the fries and it was not flavorful. The 2 stars are for the good and fast service. If you want excellent Korean food food, I suggest try the one in Oakland where I placed a post too.

The watermelon(and pineapple) sojus are the highlights of this soju bar. My friends and I went on a Friday night and waited about an hour to get a table. It is very crowded Friday and Saturday, so be prepared to wait. The interior is nice with Korean Music videos, clean décor, and a nice atmosphere. The servers were all very friendly and they even have a service button if you need help. The watermelon soju was the first thing we ordered. For $ 25, we probably got around 21−24shots of soju. Refills are only $ 12. In addition, we tried the short rib fries, kimchi fried rice, and Tonight wings. The short ribs fries were decent; it’s reminiscent of carne asada fries. I think the meat could have been more tender. The kimchi fried rice was a little disappointing for me because it tasted more like spam than kimchi. I assume the kimchi they used wasn’t ripe enough, thus resulting in a Kimchi fried rice that was more just fried rice. Both of those items are were around $ 10. For $ 13 we got 8 Tonight wings. I liked the sauce the wings, but not the best deal for wings. The service was quite good for a busy night. The 3 – 4 servers were always making rounds and checking in. The fruit sojus are decently priced and good for casual drinking. I wish the food was more traditionally Korean but it’s ok.

Came here on a Saturday around 7:30 and waited for about 10 mins for a party of four. If you arrive after 8/8:30, expect a longer wait. Not recommending based on the food, but more on the ambiance, service, and drinks. Tonight reminds of the many bars in LA’s Koreatown and provides exactly what you need for a good night out with friends: Kpop blaring and good selection of drinks. Ordered the pineapple and kiwi soju along with chicken gizzards and fries w/nacho cheese. The pineapple soju was served in the pineapple along with dry ice. While the presentation on the pineapple was much cooler, the kiwi soju was my favorite and cheaper ;).

Was invited here for a friend’s birthday and we had a good time! Of course we ordered Soju. Now the presentation itself is pretty awesome! It’s like watching a science project that you get to drink after! Now as far as flavor, Pineapple was better than Watermelon(although I thought I would like the reverse). The Watermelon was like drinking a shake/slushy AND was too sweet! Here’s our food order: 2.) Kimchi Rice FAVORITE 3.) Spare Ribs 4.) Spicy Short Ribs 5.) Pork Belly Lettuce YUM 6.) Tonights wings 7.) Rice dumpling soup GOOD 8.) Noodles 9.) Cheese Corn 10.) Short Ribs Fries Minus one star for the unfriendly host that told us 15 minutes before our reservation that if our whole party isn’t here she will give us our table away. I understand if you have a job to do, but it wouldn’t kill you to be friendly. Fortunately, our birthday girl arrived 5 minutes later and didn’t have a clue! Lucky for Tonight Soju, they have a waitress named, Valerie that makes up for the not so welcoming host!

My bf and I came here more for the soju than to eat. It was both our first time here and we luckily got seated right away on a Saturday night. We ordered the lychee soju for our first round and it came out in an Aladdin looking genie lamp/tea pot. It seemed weird, but cool and when I lifted the lid to look inside, it was oddly really foamy/bubbly looking almost like soap. We also ordered wings, cuz we weren’t too hungry but just in case we got the drunchies. They had a good spicy dry rub on it and it was just alright. When we were close to finishing the lychee, neither of us were even buzzed yet. We came to the conclusion that the soju itself wasn’t strong at all compared to other places. We ordered the mango next and asked if they can make it a tad bit stronger(we ubered that night, so why not) but they declined… I’m sure we’re not the firsts that’ve tried requesting that so don’t judge lol. We decided to just order the straight up soju bottle with no flavor and started dumping it into the weird soju tea pot to mix in with the mango. It finally did the trick, but does it really need to take all that to get drunk? Soju is usually creeps on you, but the soju here was not a creeper at all. I would rather go back to The Spot down the street again next time if I wanna TU with some soju.

I went here for my 21st birthday with a party of 10. We really enjoyed the soju and food, they were pretty yummy! But i honestly didnt appreciate the service the waitress provided. I called to make reservation at 9:00pm and my party got there on time. By 8:50pm I asked if there were seats ready for us and the waitress said yes. At 9:10pm we still havent been seated so I asked the same waitress again, then she said«you and your party were late, so we gave the seats away.» This is the part where I started flipping out and possibly scared her because she eventually seated us as soon as she could. But yeah a few tips: Make sure you reserve if you have a large party! And make sure to let the waitress know that you all are there! Get their pineapple soju! Get their kimchi fried rice too. It will hit the spot
